Yen Sid shook his head. "I am afraid that I know of no way. The realms of Sleep and Waking, despite the Convergence, are too separated to easily be journeyed between. I apologize."

Proto Man looked down. He may not have minded leaving his world that much, but not being able to go back? That sucked.

"I can help." The android said. "I can take you to where you can get a ship. At least then you'll be able to travel."

Scott frowned slightly. He didn't know anyway for him to get back home? What did that mean for his friends and family? Scott wanted to be a hero but that didn't mean he wanted to leave them all behind but due to this Convergence it looks like he had no choice. "Thanks anyway." Scott said. At least he had a better idea of what was going on. Even if came with rather awful news.

Scott looked over at Proto Man and nodded. "Thanks man." Well at least now he wasn't stuck in this weird tower and could go wherever he wanted once he got his own ship. Even if he can't go back home, he can still be a hero, still be a Kamen Rider.

"I am afraid that is the extent of the help I can provide." Yen Sid said, once Scott had thanked Proto Man. "If you stick together and with other heroes that you will meet, your skill shall grow, and I suspect you will become a competent fighter in your own right." The sorcerer nodded, and bade the two to leave.

Once outside of Yen Sid's office, Proto Man looked down at the stairs that had taken so long to get up. He then smirked, and looked at Scott, remembering the speed he had used in that Kamen Rider form.

"Race you to the bottom."

Proto Man switched his Buster, bot not to a weapon this time; instead, when he pointed it, energy streamed out, converting into stored matter. A hover board, the Proto Jet. The android hopped on, and began riding down.

Scott nodded to Yen Sid as he left the room. It was a lot to think about and Scott wasn't sure where to start. He wondered about these other heroes that were in the same kind of situation that he was in. Would he have to fight against some of them?

For the moment it seemed like he could push it aside as Scott grinned at the challenge. Scott turned his head to see the Zector fly out of its portal. "Henshin." He said as he caught it and placed it on the belt. "Henshin." The Zector said in reply.

Scott started to run and flipped the horn switch. "Cast Off." The armor was purged and Scott hit the button at his side. "Clock Up." Now with his higher speed Kabuto was able to keep up with Proto Man even as he was riding on the hover board.

Proto Man's smirk grew at the challenge as Scott caught up with him, and he pushed the Proto Jet harder. However, he knew that the board's energy couldn't last to the bottom of the tower, so he decided to pull off a dangerous trick. Hovering closer to the side of the stairs, he looked down over the edge. One of the lower flights hovered just beneath them.

The android then jumped off the edge of the stairs, and flew downwards to the lower flight of stairs, even pulling off a stunt or two. Giving a two-fingered salute to Scott up above, Proto Man than raced off to the lower part of the tower.

Scott wasn't going to let Proto Man get away with taking a short cut. From what he knows of Kamen Rider his armor should be able to protect him from a fall that was much higher than this. So Scott deactivated the Clock Up and jumped after Proto Man.

Landing down was like as if Scott had jumped down only a few feet. It was amazing to him what this armor could do. "Clock Up." The belt said as Scott hit the button on his side again as he continued to race after Proto Man. The two were getting closer to the entrance of the tower and so far they were rather even.

The problem was that not far from the end the voice from Scott's belt spoke up again. "Clock Over." Scott's eyes widened behind his mask as his speed boost vanished. He tried hitting the button again and again but nothing happened. Without Clock Up there was no way that he could keep up with Proto Man.

Proto Man hardly noticed that Scott had slowed down. With his lead, he managed to race out the doors of the tower and stop, kicking the board up where it disappeared into energy. Turning, he saw that Scott had lost the race, apparently having lost whatever gave him that speed boost.

"Looks like you lost." Proto Man commented, the smirk still on his face.

"Yeah looks like it." Scott said as the Kabuto Zector once again flew off to where ever that portal lead to and his armor disappeared. Since it was a race for fun, Scott wasn't feeling too bad about losing, especially since it was to someone like Proto Man. At least he had learned about the limit now rather than when he could have been in trouble.

"Turns out Clock Up has a limit. I think it can only go for like a minute or so though I dunno if it recharges when I'm not using it." Scott said as he shrugged. He would need to keep it in mind when he fights again. Clock Up was nowhere near as powerful as it was in the show, so it wasn't going to give him a huge advantage over whoever he is fighting.

"Sounds similar to how my Variable Weapons System works." Proto Man said. "All of my weapons and items have a limited amount of energy they can use."

With that, he turned towards a nearby save point.

"Come on, I'll take you to a world called Radiant Garden. A man there named Cid can help you get your own ship."

Scott looked over the glowing circle. It certainly did look like something that was a part of a video game. It was kind of weird to see something that should just be game mechanics actually be around. Still from the sound of it, they were able to send them to the ships so it did make sense why they were still around.

"Alright. Thanks again Proto Man." Scott said as he smiled at the robot before stepping into the Save Point. For a second Scott looked unsure about just what he was supposed to do. That quickly faded as he managed to beam himself up to Proto Man's ship. And so this was the start for Kamen Rider Kabuto.
