Sorin jumped out of the way of the Gorr's swing. He barely managed to to avoid getting crushed. He saw Audrey firing some of her arrows at it and then the samurai using a incredibly powerful sword with lightning magic to pretty much single handedly take down the giant creature. Sorin let out an annoyed sigh. He was the most useless out of them. He barely did any damage with his attack. Even Audrey did more than he did. It was because she actually had powers unlike him. All the training he did so far was useless against the Gorr. Sorin got up and sheathed his sword. He couldn't help but feel a bit of envy toward the two. He didn't want to feel this way but seeing how they did against the Gorr he couldn't help it. |

Audrey, however, was a different story. When the samurai unleashed the barrage of lightning-powered attacks, the girl watched in awe as he single-handedly took it down. He was definitely more experienced than she could ever be, only feeling a little envious that she couldn't be this powerful. As the Gorr fell defeated, it was then that she sighed with relief, glad that it wasn't as difficult as she thought it would be. It also didn't look like there were anymore enemies about to pop out of nowhere. However, when the girl looked towards Sorin, she saw that he looked troubled by something. Was it because he couldn't take on the demon himself? While Audrey almost wanted to go up and try to reassure him, she honestly couldn't understand why he would feel like that. They were both inexperienced compared to Kensei, but that didn't mean Sorin wasn't capable in his own right. To her, he was strong, cool, handsome-- Okay, better let the thought end there before it gets worse. Shaking her head, and the blush that formed, Audrey instead decided to let him stew, not knowing what to say in this situation. Instead, she walked up to the little Tengu that fell in the sand, knelt down and picked her up in her hands. "H-Hey, a-are you alright?" she asked. |

A few light groans come from the small being that lay within Audrey's hands. "A little dizzy, still... I tried to vanish, but the big brute caught me, and squeezed me so hard that I passed out." Pushing herself back to her feet, her arms stretch into the air, as a pair of dark colored wings sprout from her back. As they emerge, she begins to float in the air, a small halo of pale light covering her form. She flies around both Audrey and Sorin for a few moments, before she notices the third figure standing there. "Kensei!" Almost at once, she flies over to him and lands on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" "Yes, Shogi, I am well. My body is, at least. And I know that my spirit will be raised with you around." Turning to both Audrey and Sorin, he deeply bows to both of them. "I must once more thank you for your offer of aid that you have given me during this time. Now, if you are willing, I wish to offer you aid in return. I would not wish to impose if other tasks are of greater importance." It is evidently apparent that his voice was now no longer the halting, clumsily spoken tongue one of who had trouble with another language. The voice he had was fluid, filled with power and determination, one that any and every person could understand and respect. |

Sorin looked over as Shogi flew up and went over to the samurai. The fact that he was now much more understandable had to be because of Shogi. It did make things much easier to talk with him now. Though Sorin vaguely thought that she seemed more like some kind of fairy rather than a Tengu as other than the wings she wasn't very crow like. He also thought, slightly amused, that he was meeting a Crow Tengu with Audrey Crowe. "You're welcome." Sorin said as he bowed back to Kensei. "I couldn't leave someone that was in trouble. My name is Sorin Luca. I appreciate your offer and I wish to just ask for some advice. I'm still new at using a sword and I was hoping that someone of your skill would able to give me some advice in training or anything." |

When Audrey saw the black wings sprouting from Shogi, she had to smile. Barring her namesake, she always liked ravens and crows, found them fascinating creatures when most others would shun them. Even though she also took note of the Tengu being a bit more like a fairy, a little bit always helped. Then Kensei began to speak his thanks to them, now more understandable possibly in part with Shogi's power. Truthfully, the girl couldn't help but to feel a little intimidated. This man was a samurai, with years of experience far ahead of her and Sorin, and the way he spoke had certainly shown that. At first, she didn't say anything until Sorin spoke first, to which she finally responded back with a bow of her own, albeit very awkward. "U-Um, y-yeah, what he said," she stammered. "A-And, um, i-if you could, I-I'd also like some advice, but with a bow. I-I know I was able to save Shogi, but that was because of my magic. I-I'm not really that good of an archer when it comes down to it..." |

"I would consider it a great honor and privilege to train the both of you." Kensei nods to both. "I will not lie, this will take much of your time, and you may become rather angered at my training process. But know that if you have the dedication, your skills will blossom into that which legends are told about. When you wish to begin, I shall be more than willing to start. And if you feel that you cannot keep training, I shall be more than willing to let our sessions pause until you have need of them again." "Kensei, can I speak with you?" Shogi taps her tiny foot on Kensei's shoulder. Seeing him nod and move away from the pair, she speaks again. "Do you really think this is necessary? I mean, I know that they helped, but this seems to be a bit much." Kensei's voice lowers so that only the Tengu can hear. "Trust in me, Shogi. I feel as though this is something that I must do." |

The degree that Kensei was willing to train them caught Sorin rather off guard. He had been expecting something like giving him some general advice or telling him about some of the mistakes that he had been making or something to that affect. While it was a surprise that didn't mean that Sorin wouldn't appreciate it. This was the first chance that he had to train under an experienced swordsman and he was willing to give him a rather in depth training. Something like this could help him become stronger much faster than he normally been going. "I greatly appreciate your offer and I accept." Sorin said as he bowed again. However he had been rather focused on the idea of training he nearly forgot about what he wanted to tell Audrey. "Also Audrey, I need to warn you. There is someone out there looking for you. I haven't met him but heard about him from someone else. He apparently sworn to protect you." |

Audrey was also surprised by how Kensei was willing to train them, even if Shogi seemed to disagree with the idea. However, like Sorin, she also wasn't about to complain. The sooner she could become experienced in using a bow, the sooner she can improve in taking care of herself and proving 'him' wrong. However, before she could also bow and accept the offer, Sorin spoke to her, told her the very thing she didn't want to hear now. Instead, her acceptance gave away to a sudden wave of panic and fear. She knew who he was talking about, knew he had been told about this from someone else. But it was then that the fact kicked in, that Sorin knew enough about 'him', that 'he' would find out about it and do something to the swordsman as a result... She shook her head, turning to the samurai and bowing. However, it was not in acceptance to the offer. "Um, M-Mr. Kensei, sir...I-I'm sorry, b-but I'm gonna have to ask that we save my training for another day. I...I just can't stay here any longer..." And then she turned to Sorin, the fear clearly shown on her face. She hated to do this...but she didn't want him hurt because of her. Because...because of what she was feeling now... "Sorin...you just shouldn't have found out about him...about Ignazio..." It was all she said before she turned and ran away, not looking back once. This was the one thing she wanted to avoid since leaving that town, since finding out that 'he' was out in the worlds as well. This was the one thing...the one thing that she continued to run from...run like the scared little girl that she was... "If you even think of running off with one of these bugs...I will squash them personally..." |
