"...how much does it cost rent for this?" "It'll be about 25.000 munny, kupo!" "Seriously!? For just this thing!?" "Don't worry about it, kupo. It's a high-quality weapon and I'm pretty much renting it to you at a bargin, kupo." Neku sighed as he didn't have other option but accept. "Fine..." He said as he recieved the rental sword from the small moogle at the reception. He couldn't shake the feeling that the flying furball was ripping him off. And he was probably right... The young teen from Shibuya was still reajusting to the area around him. Sure Radiant Garden and Traverse town were pretty fantastic, but they still seemed much more grounded compared to where he was standing right now. A giant floating sphere in the middle of space, like straight from a sci-fi movie or something, with a flying talking vermin running the whole place. A glass-like walls allowed them to watch the beautiful sight of th cosmos with all its shining stars and passing comets and at the center stood a big orb of light for reasons he did not know at the moment. He had to admit, he'd probably be much more freaked out and aggresive on his own, but thankfully Sora and Kairi were around. Still to early for him to trust them completly, he at least felt like they were good company and considering his lack of social skills, that was as much of a good start as any. As hi gazed at the big computer panels above the Moogle, he spoke to the two Keyblade Wielders around. "So you can just rent different weapons, enemies and arenas in this place? Hm, its like an all-out battle department store..." |

(Takes place after "The One Star" in Traverse Town for all three participants.) Sora shrugged. He'd never been here before, and was looking around with wonder, but had more or less gotten used to the area. It wasn't the most unusual world he'd seen, but it was interesting as one solely based around combat training. Looking around, he noticed a terminal near the Moogle. "I guess we have to come up with a training program. I.. well, I'm not the best with computers. Neku, are you good with them?" He didn't ask Kairi mainly because of where she had grown up. Like him, she had been on a world with... less than the most advanced technology. It wasn't that he couldn't use computers at all, he just wasn't very good with them. However, this seemed like it would be a fun exercise, especially to see what Neku can do in this incarnation, along with Kairi's skills in more depth. |

For the moment, Kairi was still gazing around the area in awe, having not seen a place like this before. Sure, there were many possibilities these worlds held, but she wouldn't have thought they'd find a training arena floating in space. It sure saved time having to go to the Olympus Coliseum for most of their training. She was about to get back to the now real quick however, looking back to the two boys. She didn't comment on Neku's bit of snark, instead giving a nod to Sora. "Yeah, Sora and I...well, we grew up on an island. The only technology we managed to work around are the Gummi ships, and we needed help on those." Technically, that was true. The Princess didn't want to go into too much detail into her first attempt at flying... Edited by Adri, Feb 18 2014, 11:52 PM.

Neku approached the terminal and inspectioned it. It looked like it had a very simple interface so he got right to it as Sora started asking questions. "I guess I am. As good as any other guy with one at home, I guess." He responded as his eyes were set on the terminal's monitor but his ears were still keep track on his two companions. "Technology is always around where I live, so it's pretty hard to miss out on it. Nothing like this, though." As he scrolled through the list of pre-set training regimes, he couldn't shake that awkward feeling. Considering the knowledge of the other him, he probably already knew about him or Shibuya a lot, while on the other hand he knew so little about them. He noticed one that looked interesting. "Weaver Fever" it was named; something challenging, but at the same good enough to begginers. At the same time, another thing struck his curiosity, "About those weapons of yours too. Keyblades, was it? How did you even get something like that?" He hit himself, mentally of course. Small talk was still complicated to him, and here he was rushing and asking big questions to people he just met and probably didn't know either about the crazy machinations of this whole new worlds. So, he decided to start with something smaller. "Never mind that...so, where do you two come from anyways?" Sora looked at the terminal that Neku had been using. The training session he'd picked didn't look too bad. "Oh, I'm from Destiny Islands. Small town world where we tend to play on the nearby island after school. Kairi came over there, but she's from somewhere else." He let her explain that, if she wanted to, as well as her world of origin. "And... well, my Keyblade sort of..found me. It's hard to explain, and the explanation didn't really... work for my situation as much as others. I don't really know exactly why, and Master Yen Sid wouldn't tell me, if he does know." Kairi also had a look at the terminal for the training session, answering Neku's questions in turn, "I'm actually from Radiant Garden. I don't really remember my life there; all I remember is that I was raised by my grandmother. Otherwise, I grew up in Destiny Islands along with Sora, Riku, and everyone else on the island." Before Neku asked about him, she went on to explain, "Riku's another close friend of ours. He wields a Keyblade like us, though he's actually been named Master. "As for my own Keyblade, Riku actually gave it to me. Sora was in danger and I wanted to help, so he gave me one so I could fight the Heartless." However, the Princess had to look down in thought, an old memory seeming to return. "But...I think there's more to it than that...I remember this woman protecting me, and..." She let herself trail there, before she got too lost in thought. Instead, she looked up with a smile. "Sorry, it's probably not important. Anyway, what is your Shibuya like, Neku? And your friends? I only met the other Joshua during my training; I didn't get the chance to meet the other you or anyone else." |

"I see..." Neku listened carefully to what the two were saying. Destiny Islands sounded like a nice place. He had never been to th e beach before, so he kept it on consideration for a visit one day. He had to frown at the answer to the Keyblade. So not even they knew what exactly was up with. He shrugged it however, as he didn't want to giving them troubles with too complicated questions. He turned to Kairi as she herself pondered something. "Well, Beat can be very loud sometimes, always trying to talk street, but he is a good friend and is very determined. Then there's Rhyme who she always so friendly with everyone around even if Beat can be a bit over-protective. Then Shiki, she's a very nice person, I wouldn't have beaten the Game if it wasn't for her. A bit of a fashion-nut but I can see you two getting along." With the training session ready, the Moogle activated an holographic door that'd lead them to the proper arena. Neku took a tight grasp on his blade as he hopes it'd be as good as it cost, even if he somehow doubted it. "Any other friends of yours I should be aware of?" The boy asked. "And another thing. Any worlds I should just not even bother? I don't want my next trip on my own being some instant death-trap." Edited by StarMech, Feb 23 2014, 06:26 PM.

Sora shrugged to the first question. "We have a lot of friends. I'm not sure which ones to even say. I mean, we kind of know a lot of people." Yes, that was more or less his definition of "friend", barring enemies. To the second question, he frowned a bit. "Well, there's The World That Never Was, that huge castle you might have seen. Try to avoid that one. It's been...really dangerous lately." He didn't really know how to mention the things he had seen there in his last visit, his dreams and the problems therein. So he moved to the only other suspect he knew of. "There's also the End of the World, if that's been reforming. The place the Heartless put their remains of worlds. ...or something. I'm not really clear on how that worked. And also, the general Realm of Darkness, and the Realm of Between. Those are kind of okay if you go short amounts, but usually its really bad if you stay longer than that." He looked to Kairi. "Anything I'm missing? Any others you can think of?" (We can probably get to the training soon.) |

Kairi listened as Neku as he talked about his friends. They all sounded like interesting people, those that she'd like to meet and befriend herself. Maybe if she ever found herself wanting to go to the Shibuya that was still around. But one thing at a time first. When it came to Neku's questions about other people and other worlds, the Princess allowed Sora to explain what he knew before she went on to answer herself, "There's another place you might wanna avoid. It's apparently called the 'Keyblade Graveyard', though I didn't stay for too long to really see for myself. It's a barren wasteland there, and...it's also where..." She trailed off, not sure if she wanted to explain her encounter with the dark woman so soon. It was someone to watch out for, but she didn't want Neku or Sora worrying about anyone coming to tear them apart. They had enough to worry about as it was. Instead, she shook it all off with a smile as usual. "Anyway, like Sora said, we know a lot of people around here. Well, Sora knows more than me, but I know a handful myself. If you wanna go into travelers like yourself, though, I've met a few interesting people along the way. For a bit, I traveled with a woman named Xelha; really kind and thoughtful, though I think she's found her missing friend by now. There's also an angel named Greg Zivaku; somewhat odd, but he's a good man. And his brother Isaac; he's a little more strange, and might take some time for you to get used to. There's also this really sweet girl named Rozalin; somewhat shy and she's got amnesia, but she's also brave as I've seen last time. Also, there's a pair of...interesting women, I have to say, named Rikka and Akemi; their intentions are questionable, but they seem to mean well with them. There's also Rikka's sister, Yuki; she's a nice girl, though she has something in her that makes her snap..." She had to pause as she realized how many people she'd met over the course of her travels. "Huh...come to think of it, I know more people than I thought I did." Nonetheless, with these explanations out of the way, Kairi made her way through the door first, entering the arena proper. For a moment, it was empty, the battle not yet ready for them to start. However, once the other two made their way in, the program started up for them, the enemies appearing. The creatures they were facing were not Heartless or even Nobodies like it would've been expected. Instead, they were faced with enemies made up of mostly dark colors, mostly dark blue with hints of black, purple, or red, with variations of a completely different symbol on them. Seven large ones, almost resembling Large Body Heartless, three small ones like Shadows, and eight more that floated rather than walked, four of each of a different type. The Princess of Heart, however, couldn't help but to frown as she saw these creatures. They seemed...familiar somehow. Like she had faced them before... Edited by Adri, Feb 24 2014, 06:53 PM.

In Neku's eyes, the different look of the creatures did not surprised him. Still new on the ways these monsters worked, he just assumed they'd behave similarly to the Heartless. Either way it all just took him back to fighting the Noise in the streets of Shibuya, which also came in all forms and sizes. With his pins equipped he was ready to fight. With a wave of his hand he used his Pyrokinesis to stop the Flood from approaching closer. Then He wand around the flames to reach them and slashed away with his rental sword. After hitting one he attempted a second strike on the next Unversed, only for it to sink into the floor and protect itself from the blade. "Damn.." One of the bulkier creatures, the Bruiser, managed to move close to the boy, then hit him on the back with a well placed punch. Neku grunted at the attack, but kept his ground, aiming his hand at the fiend and shooting a stream of his Force Rounds at it. |

The Bruiser would have retaliated against Neku's attacks, but was stopped by a Spark Raid from Sora's Keyblade, the electricity stunning it in place. With that left open, the Keyblade Wielder threw out a Magnera that drew in two Vial Phials and a Blue Sea Salt. As the fight began, Kairi had no further time to think about these creatures. Instead, she dodged with a Bright Haze as another Bruiser came charging at her with its glowing belly, moving around it. With several more of the large Unversed starting to bounce around and create shockwaves, she threw her Keyblade out in a Circle Raid, hitting many of them as well as one Flood and another Blue Sea Salt, causing a Bind effect that kept them all in place for them to attack. A Vial Phial, however, floated over to cure its damaged comrades. Just before it could, Kairi cast her Sleep Command, bringing it into a slumber. With several more attacks in, it was done for. (That's one down. Two Bruisers and Floods are running around freely, as are three Blue Sea Salts and one Vial Phial. Everything else either as a Bind effect, stunned by electricity, or are drawn in by the Magnera) Edited by Adri, Mar 2 2014, 03:32 PM.

With all the remining Unversed stopped on their tracks in one magical way or another, Neku took the chance to clear the round and move on. A hard grip on his blade and a solid starting footing, he then ran towards the remaining Flood and vanquished with a constant series of slashes. There was no more time to waste, the effects would not last for long. Neku's next target were the floating mooks; charging energy in his hand, thanks to one of his pins, his mind modeling it into the shape of a spear. He flied across the arena, impaling the Blue Sea-salts and whiping them out of existance. As the seconds passed, the orange-haired teen started to destroy more and more Unversed untile eventually slashing the last one apart with his sword. He was breathing heavily and some sweat drops seemed to slowly slide down his skin. Still, he was smiling, feeling energized and still willing to fight. "So, who's next?" ----------------------- The rounds continued and more Unversed started to pop up, but the trio was ready and as the time passed, they managed to clear every wave and every mook the arena tried to throw at them. Eventually, they found themselves at the last round: The three heroes against one big Boss Unversed. It seemed like a quite large one that resembled a spinning wheel. Its main body was comprised of a long, white column with its blue toned head placed near the top and adorned in golden highlights. The tip of the column had three blue spikes on it, and only a bit lower than that an arm emerged from the main pillar and connected to a big moving wheel, while the other arm was located much lower and finished in a large, blue, claw-like spool with gold wire wrapped around it. Neku was surprised, having not faced a creature of such size before except with exception of some Boss Noises. Still, he was not going to let himself be intimidated by a a walking sewing board, and held his blade high and ready. (Greg's Post) Sora frowned at the opponent, his Keyblade in his hands as he charged forward. The boy somersaulted under a set of golden threads that came flying at him from the non-wheel end of the opponent, not knowing where they would go, and raised Kingdom Key in both hands while ducked down. "Freeze!" The Blizzaga erupted from the tip, hitting one of its feet and freezing it to the ground as he came closer, away from the still-active threads. He got off one, two, three hits to that leg before the ice shattered, twirling his weapon in one hand as he came down for a finishing blow to his combination of strikes. However, by the time he was done, whatever was being done with the threads was over, and the enemy decided to attack him directly, up close. The point where the two legs met the upper body began to spin, and the assailant leaned toward Sora. Before he could raise his Keyblade to block, he was thrown backwards, flying into the air with a shout of surprise, and falling on his back, pulled to his feet by another of those threads on his shirt's front, which aimed to drag him toward it. The wielder of Kingdom Key struggled against the force, managing to slice the threads off about six inches from his chest, causing them to dissipate entirely as he stumbled back to sturdy footing. "I'm alright!" he shouted to the others, just in case they were worried. Well at least this was going to be interesting. Edited by StarMech, Mar 8 2014, 05:03 PM.

"Sora!" Kairi called when she saw the Keyblader struggling. However, when he reassured he was okay nonetheless, she got back into focus, readying Destiny's Embrace. Having taken note of the thread-like beam of energy being shot from its spindle-like arm beforehand, she decided to focus on that so it wouldn't be another problem in the future. The Princess ran in close, jumping and teleporting higher above after the Wheel Master leaped high and landed, creating a shockwave that would knock any back. However, doing so separated itself from its feet, stunning itself in the process. While in the air, Kairi took advantage of this and sent several slashes at the spindle arm, finishing off with her specialized Pearl attack, which fired three blasts of light from her hand. However, before any damage could be done to the arm, the Unversed quickly reattached itself and once again began to spin, knocking her away with its arms. Kairi yelped as she was knocking into the air, though she got her composure quickly, just in time to catch the Wheel Master continuing to spin its upper body while a whirlwind surrounded it. Thankfully, she was prepared; the Wheel Master threw its wheel attachment her way, but she avoided it with a Bright Haze, jumping off a platform of light underneath her feet at the last second before the wheel could strike her. She followed this with a Vanish, confusing the Unversed as she suddenly disappeared in thin air. This gave the Princess of Heart to run in close, pointing her Keyblade upwards and shouting, "Light!" A pillar of light burst from the ground underneath the Wheel Master, almost knocking it right off its feet. Edited by Adri, Mar 14 2014, 11:47 PM.

It was now Neku's turn to deliver some damage to monstrous contraption. Running towards it, he aimed his hand higher and attacked with a series of Force Rounds as he started to circle around it; but while the blasts of energy managed to do some decent hurting upon the Unversed, it was not be stopped by it alone. The Wheel Master jumped into the air then brought his enormous size down on the ground, creating a shockwave on his descend. Neku was not able to avoid the attack and was launched back. Unlike the two Keyblade Wielders, he didn't land as gracefully on his feet, but rather smacked his body on the floor after the impact sent him flying. That gave the monster enough time to re-attach itself back together after the attack and then launched its laser thread at the teen and trapped him. Young Sakuraba tried his best with his sword to free himself from the energy fiber, but just as he managed to loose himself he was then hit by the gigantic wheel that the Unversed launched at him, which sent him right back to the floor. Unlike the other two heroes, Neku was still enw when it came to fighting such creates, and this time he didn't have the advantages that the Noise' realm gave him in battle. "This is really pissing me off." He cursed udner his breath after, standing up. He was not going to let himself be manhandled by such monster and once again ran at the Wheel Master which recovered his wheel in the meanwhile. The creature attempted a spin attack, which Neku was expecting. Rising his hand again he unleashed his Thunderbolt attack upon the boss, with a decent distance from the whirlwind that was created in order to be safe and still do some damage. Once the Unversed finished it was time to move closer, and so he ran and then jumped high at it before stabbing with his sword. |

Sora barely managed to dodge the various attacks by this creature, utilizing his various Keyblade-earned movement skills both in the air and on the ground, primarily his Slide Roll dodge move. He was concerned for Neku, but knew he could handle himself for now, deciding against calling out for him. After the Wheel Master was sent reeling from the various blows, he finally came in once more, using the same dash to get close for a strike. He slashed out with a flurry of cuts and various cleaves, trying his best to deal as much damage as possible, eventually taking the Keyblade in both hands as he caused a series of light-based explosions to occur around him, dealing additional damage to the unknown creature and causing it to be sent back a few feet. He was about to strike again when the wheel-monster emitted a strange shadowy aura, shaking as if in rage. Without warning, it began galloping toward Sora, who only barely dodged it by jumping to the side, still grunting from a glancing blow that caused him to stagger a bit. The beast kept galloping, attempting the same to Kairi and Neku, seeming to have a forcefield of wind in front of it as it did so. However, it was likely they could still finish it off, this being likely close to its final moves. |

As the Wheel Master began charging towards her, Kairi decided to do something different. She didn't step or jump to dodge out of the way. Instead, as the Unversed came charging ever closer, she suddenly turned into a form of pure light, dashing forward and right through the boss before she reformed. The Princess staggered a little, having utilized her Light Roll for the first time out of her training. It wasn't so bad in the Realm of Sleep, but in the Waking World, it took quite a lot out of her. However, seeing the Unversed going after Neku, she quickly ran back into the fray. Though keeping her distance, Kairi closed in to make sure her attacks would hit. As some of her Battle Commands were recharging, she had to utilize what she had left. She decided to use another specialized command to finish this: her Circle Spark Raid. So, throwing the Keyblade so it circled around her, she ran closer, coming up behind the boss. As her Destiny's Embrace made contact with it multiple times, unlike the normal Circle Raid, it didn't cause a Bind effect on the Unversed. Rather, each point of contact sent rays of light flying out; if there were more enemies, they would have been struck then. However, with only the Wheel Master present, only some of the rays managed to hit, the rest flying out to nothing. Still, after the Keyblade struck it for the last time, it seemed to do the trick. For a moment, the Wheel Master was still. Then, it stumbled and fell apart, not about to pick itself up and repair itself this time. Instead, it dispersed to nothing, defeated. With the fight over, Kairi dismissed her Keyblade for the time, looking to the two with a smile. "Well, that was a good workout." Edited by Adri, Mar 22 2014, 03:49 PM.

Neku gave a sigh of relief. He was glad it was finally over. As Kairi said, this ended up being a good workout, but it did show he was very rusty from the Reaper's Game. Not like some more training and exploring around the worlds couldn't fix that.. With the simulation over, the three heroes made their way back to the main lobby of the Arena. Neku then walked to the counter and handed the sword back to the Moogle, but not before giving him a cold glare before walking away. He felt like the weapon suited him...but he was damn well sure he got ripped off by the rental price. His attention turned back to Sora and Kairi, "So, where do we go next? Joshua hasn't really called me to go anywhere in particular..." It still surprised him how calmly he was taking all this. But soemthing about the two Keyblade Wielders made him feel at ease. Probably their friendly nature being so damn contagious. |

Sora nodded to Kairi at the comment on the now-defeated creature, having very much liked her Light Roll move. He'd heard of similar, but never seen it performed by an ally since he'd woken up again. He was surprised by her nonchalance, but it wasn't a bad thing. As they left the arena, he looked to Neku with a shrug after waving goodbye to the Moogle. "I just tend to travel. Until I get news from Yen Sid or one of the others, all of this is training up until Kairi and I are needed. Feel free to pick a world when we get out there. We can follow you. What about you, Kairi?" He turned to the Princess of Heart on that. "What do you think we should go to?" (Basically ending out here. Adri and Marc, feel free to wrap up as best as you can.) |

"I don't have anywhere specific in mind," Kairi said with a shrug. "Maybe we could find some place that needs our help. You never know what world might be in danger from the Heartless, or whatever else is out there. Otherwise, I'm fine following you guys." She then looked to Neku. "By the way, you did pretty good with a sword there. You should probably look to getting one of those sometime." With that, the Princess turned and walked to the Save Point, waving back to the two. "I'll meet you guys out there, okay?" And with that, she stepped into the glowing circle and warped back to her ship. |

"That sounds like the best idea," said Neku. "and, um, thanks. I'll make sure to get one that is not a total ripoff next time I get the chance." With one last angry glare at the Moogle, Neku walked inside the Save Point, transporting him back to his ship. With no set destination in mind, the boy was not sure what dangers could be ahead, but at least he trusted that Sora and Kairi would be there to help him out. |

"Yeah, you did great." Sora waved goodbye to his friends for now, smiling at them. This was a good trip, albeit with extremely odd enemies without any of the symbols he remembered. With a wave to the Moogle, he also exited the world, prepared to continue on their journey together. |
