When Sorin and Audrey made the plan to meet up to talk in Halloween Town, the swordsman had been expecting to have his appearance changed just like how it happened in the games. So when he stepped out of the Save Point he looked down to see what had changed. He was in dirty broken, red samurai armor and his skin seemed to look like it was decaying. Sorin shook his head. He wasn't surprised that he got an undead samurai appearance. With that out of the way, Sorin leaned against a tree to wait for Audrey to arrive. After his conversation with Akemi Jing, Sorin decided how he was going to respond to Audrey about her feelings for him. Sure he still wasn't sure if he did care for her more than a friend or not but right now the best way to figure it out would be to spend time together. Even if nothing came from it, it would be nice to spend time with a friend. |

(Takes place after "On Glory's Wings" for Audrey.) Though Sorin had just arrived to wait for her, Audrey had actually been on this world for a while now, sitting atop the famous Spiral/Curly Hill. When she and Sorin decided to talk things out, it was her idea to come to Halloween Town, mostly because she never had the chance to actually visit it despite being a huge fan of the movie. Her appearance had also changed, though not as drastically as the swordsman. She appeared much more pale, with excessive black eyeshadow around her eyes, and her clothes changed to a black dress, black and white-striped thigh-high stockings, and black pointed shoes. And a witch hat, just to clarify what she was supposed to be. However, despite being a fan (and an admitted fangirl of Jack Skellington), Audrey felt no excitement upon finally arriving in one of her favorite worlds. As she sat upon the hill, she looked over a deck of cards, the tarot cards that she received from the Outsider back in Dunwall. The fact that someone so weird and creepy was watching her, possibly even right now, still didn't sit too well with her. She did try telling herself that perhaps it wasn't possible outside of the world, but the fact that the deck was the closest thing to being "marked" in her case didn't help much. But there were larger concerns than having the interest of a near-apathetic deity. She had been told by Greg Zivaku, who also heard from Kalas, that Ignis Fatuus couldn't die, or at least come back after being killed in the first place. Though it explained a lot about him, as it was a similar case with Maria from Silent Hill 2, there were still more questions about him than answers. Was he really just a simple manifestation, or was there more to him than what it all seemed? She couldn't have conjured up someone that monstrous...could she? While she wanted to find the answers (as well as her ex-Spiriter to punch him in the face for not telling her this when he had the chance), she decided that now wasn't the time to mull over it. She was in Halloween Town for the first time, and she was going to see Sorin to give dating a chance. Even if nothing came of this, at least she would be spending time with a friend that she could trust, without running away from him or anything bad happening to them hopefully. So, figuring that he was probably waiting for her right now, the dream-user placed her deck away, stood, and began searching for the fellow Converger from the Realm of Reality. Thankfully, it didn't take too long to find him; even with the appearance change, the samurai garb did give it away (the actual samurai Converger they met before not withstanding). However, though Sorin would think he was leaning against a normal tree, Audrey saw from the small hint of a face and the small skeletons hanging from the 'head' branches that he was actually leaning against one of the several minor characters from the movie, the Hanging Tree to be exact. After musing over the fact that he and the other non-important characters weren't in the games, at least not the Kingdom Hearts games, she walked up to greet the swordsman before he could get startled, smiling to him. "Hi Sorin! ...You look kinda weird as a zombie, but that's okay!" she said enthusiastically, then looked to the Hanging Tree. "I think you should give Mr. Hanging Tree some space though." Immediately, the hanging skeletons groaned in disappointment, as if they were ready for the scare. One even complained to her, "You ruined the surprise!" "Sorry..." the girl bit back sheepishly. "Oh no, it's quite alright. I admit that it's a typical scare," the Hanging Tree politely waved her off, as well as gave a lecturing look to his skeletons. "In fact, we should be on our way. We do hope that you have an absolutely terrifying time in Halloween Town!" "We'll be sure to. Nice meeting you!" With that, the animated tree walked off, leaving the two alone. Immediately, Audrey lapsed back to standing awkwardly, twirling a strand of her hair in her finger. "So, um...how have you been since...well, since what happened in Twilight Town?" |

Sorin looked up when Audrey called out to him, making the swordsman smiled. He did give an annoyed look back at the tree that Audrey called out as it walked away. "You know you got lucky with looking like you are just wearing a regular costume while I got this." Sorin said with a small smile as he motioned to himself. "I've been alright. Met someone who seems to know you, an Akemi Jing. She helped me out with a few things and we talked." Sorin said. Akemi did give him some advice on how to work something out with Audrey as well as tell him about Ignis and what he truly could do. It was something he would have to tell Audrey but for the moment the small talk was perfectly fine. "How about you? How have you been?" Sorin asked. |

"Oh, I dunno, I think I look like a creepy goth chick in this," Audrey said with a small giggle, wringing her hands together in another bout of nervous habits. "And, you know...zombie-ness aside, you do kinda pull the look off." At the mention of Akemi, she gave a blink of surprise. "Oh, you mean Akemi Jing the Spirit Weaver? Yeah, I know her; she actually helped enchant my armor so it wouldn't rip like my old clothes did." She couldn't hide her smirk as she whispered to Sorin, "And don't tell her I said this, but she totally has a thing for Greg." Onto the subject of how she's been doing, she started pacing about, relaying what she's gone through since Twilight Town, "Oh, I've been okay, I guess. Decided to visit this dark city to work on some stealth skills, helped a thief take down an evil old hag from becoming immortal. Got my potions and ethers stolen, but that's what happens when you deal with a thief. "Then I went to another city that's been dealing with a plague - don't worry, I didn't catch anything - and crashed a noblewoman's party. Made some money playing some music, at least." She started going into a rant, waving her arms around, "But before that, I was apparently found passed out in a sewer, and while I was asleep stinking to high heaven, some weird guy with black eyes, who happens to be the god of that world or something, starts talking to me, gives me a tarot deck, and is probably watching me right now. "And after that, I went to the Notre Dame world, met with Greg and a few others, including a literal angel and a wolf girl, and that was all nice, but before I left, I find out a crucial detail that my former Spiriter knew and hid from me again and when I find him again, I'm gonna pummel him for not telling me things again and--" She stopped herself as she realized she was ranting, not going into what that "crucial detail" was at the moment. She sighed, rubbing her face as if she hadn't had any sleep in a while. "...sorry. Guess I'm just high strung over things as always." |

Sorin nodded as he listened to Audrey talk about how she's been. He did return her smirk when she mentioned Akemi having a thing for Greg. The time she spent with the thief was interesting and he was interested about those tarrot cards. He knew a bit about tarrot though it was mostly from playing the Persona games so his actual knowledge was on the limited side. "It's okay." Sorin said once Audrey seemed to be getting upset over someone forgetting to tell her something. "It always sucks when someone doesn't tell you something important." He didn't ask about what it was since she could always tell him if it was really important. "Well the reason I called you is because I got some advice to deal with our...situation." Sorin said slowly, a little nervous about it. "Look I'm still not too sure about how I feel about you so I was thinking that maybe we could travel together for a while. It would really let us to get to know each other." |

Though taking in another deep breath to calm herself, Audrey's anger and annoyance quickly gave away to her own nervousness and timidity as Sorin brought up their situation, unable to hide the blush forming on her pale face. However, rather than hiding away, she was quick to nod and speak up, "Yeah, I got the same advice before I got your message. I mean...I've never done this before or anything, but I'm willing to give it a shot." Before she could start on anything, she took a quick look around before suggesting, "As much as I really, really wanna look around here, I think we should go to Christmas Town instead. So we don't deal with any pranksters trying to surprise us, I mean." With that, she suddenly grabbed Sorin by the wrist and started dragging him off, towards the Hinterlands. As they arrived in the forest that connected to the other holiday worlds, Audrey had to mentally note how simplified the path was compared to the movie. Before she could comment it out loud, she realized she was still pulling Sorin along and quickly let go of him, looking away to hide her blush. "Sorry..." she said sheepishly, wringing her hands together again. "So, um...what did you do back home? Like, what were your hobbies and all that?" |

Sorin let Audrey pull him along, though he did take a look around as she did. The world was interesting and it was surprising how close they were to those trees to the other worlds since if he remembered the movie Jack had to discover them. He shook his head and smiled when Audrey got embarrassed about pulling him. "It's fine, don't worry about it." Her other question did make him think for a second on how to respond. "Well I didn't have that many friends so I mostly did things by myself. You know read, watch TV, play video games. I did work out to stay in shape and well..." Probably for the first time since she met him, Sorin actually looked a bit embarrassed. "I uh used to have this wooden practice sword I trained with." |

As she listened to him, Audrey had to note some similarities she and Sorin seemed to have. Before coming into the Realm of Waking, they were both alone most of the time, though Sorin seemed to mostly be by choice, whereas she had been pushed away for most of her life. However, her inner musing was interrupted when the swordsman admitted, with some embarrassment, that he had a wooden sword. "Wow, really?" she asked, almost bemused. In the time that she'd known him, she'd never seen him so embarrassed, at least not since she suddenly hugged him back in Neverland. Then again, she was even more of a wreck that day, so... "I mean, not making fun of you or anything, but I never thought you were always the super serious training guy even in the real world. I guess maybe that explains you getting Magigiri like that." She then held her hands behind her as she started talking about herself, looking up at the dark sky, "I did the same things myself. Well, except the working out stuff; until I came here, I was really out of shape, as you've seen. I was mostly into stories, make-believe and all that. Would let myself escape into a fantasy just to get away from all the bullcrap in my life..." Realizing she'd been delving into a more depressing topic, she quickly shook her head. "Sorry, don't mean to get all upset again." She found that they had stopped before the door that led to Christmas Town, but before she stepped in, she decided to ask Sorin another thing about his life, "So, what was your family like? I mean, you have a good idea what my home life was like, so...how was yours?" |

Sorin gave Audrey a mock glare as she commented on his sword practice back in the Realm of Reality. "It wasn't any super serious training. It was just me messing around." Still it was kind of fun to banter around with Audrey like this. He did have a few friends that he talked with casually back in the Realm of Reality but Audrey was one of the few people he met here that he could do this with. "I'm an only child and my parents aren't really anything special. They both work late so I'm home myself most of the day. I mean we get along alright but I guess I've been mostly taking care of myself." Sorin answered. |

"I see..." Audrey said with a sigh. "Well, I guess you're lucky. Your parents probably don't stress as much when it's just you..." She left it at that, not wanting to delve into her problems again. Instead, she turned to the Christmas door, finding that it was just as glittery as she expected. She wasted no time opening it, and immediately a flurry of snowflakes began to pull her in. She quickly grabbed Sorin by the hand once more, just so he wouldn't be left behind. "Let's go!" she exclaimed as they were both dragged through the door and whisked away from Halloween Town. ~*~*~ After falling through the swirling portal, with Audrey whooping with glee all the way, the two fell out of the tree with the glowing jack o' lantern, landing in the snow on the Yuletide Hill. Once more, their costumes had changed befitting the world; the dream-wielder had gone from her witch costume to how she appeared in her Oneiric Form, only with white fur trimming on her shirt collar, the hems of her three-quarter skirt, and the ridges of her boots, and in place of the beret was a Santa hat. But her focus wasn't on how she looked now. Instead, as she got back up, her eyes looked in wonder at the Winter Wonderland they arrived in. Unlike the blistering cold in the mountains of the Land of Dragons, this place felt magical and inviting, as how it should in a Christmas-themed world. Immediately, Audrey did the first thing she thought of when arriving. She began skipping along in the snow, throwing it about while cheerfully exclaiming "Snow!" over and over again. |

Sorin followed Audrey through the portal and landed alongside Audrey. To his annoyance he wasn't given any normal clothes like Audrey. Instead he had armor like a nutcracker soldier. Was it really too much for him to just have his normal outfit but with a jacket to deal with the cold? Still Sorin was used to the snow so it wasn't anything special but it apparently was to Audrey. The swordsman couldn't help but laugh as he watched her. Seeing her so excited about the snow was just so...cute. It was a little weird to think of her like that but Sorin didn't put too much focus on it. "You enjoying yourself?" Sorin asked as he walked over to her with a smile on his face. |

Audrey stopped in her excitement as soon as Sorin approached her, having thrown snow all over the place to the point that she was covered. She looked down sheepishly, brushing some of the white off of her. "Sorry...it rarely snows where I'm from. I see it all the time on TV and stuff, and I just think how amazing it might be to play in it. I mean, I understand it's probably a pain to work in it, but...you get what I mean." She plopped down in the snow then, waving her arms and legs as she made a snow angel. As she did so, she looked up at Sorin and asked, "By the way, where did you live in the Realm of Reality. I mean, I'm from the Nevadan desert myself; I know it's hard to believe given my complexion, but that goes to show how rarely I went out." |

"No it's fine. Sorin said as he kept smiling. He didn't really understand how Audrey felt right now due to usually having one or two snow days a winter. To him it was just another kind of weather though a somewhat appreciated one due to closing school. No matter who in his school, when there were reports of snow everyone wished for it to be enough to close school. "I live in Maryland so snow is fairly normal. Enough to get you out of school every couple days a year though enough to be a pain to shovel." Sorin replied. Nevada was quiet a bit far away from Maryland. It wasn't east coast to west coast but it was still fairly far apart. "Well since you are enjoying the snow is there anything you want to do while we are here?" Sorin asked. |

Audrey stopped her snow angel creation then, looking up at Sorin in envy. "Wow, Maryland? That means you live by the ocean. I've always wanted to live by the sea...though admittedly, that's because one of my favorite games involves an ocean, but that's not the point." She, too, realized how far apart they actually lived in the states. Unless they met on the internet, if they had never wound up in this video game multiverse, they probably wouldn't meet like this. In all honesty, it gave her another reason, all difficulties she faced aside, why she was grateful to leave the Realm of Reality behind. She never had friends back home, much less people who actually wanted to deal with her than she did now. But with that aside, she smiled as she stood up from the snow, putting her hands behind her back. "Weeeell, with all this snow...I figure we should have..." She then brought her hands out to reveal she had been forming a snowball in her hands, to which she immediately threw at Sorin, "A SNOWBALL FIGHT!" She started running right away, laughing maniacally and saying things like "Catch me if you can!" to goad him on. |

"Yeah I've swam in the ocean a lot. There was a place right on the beach we would take a vacation to when I was a kid." Sorin said as he nodded mostly to himself. It had been years since he actually had been to the beach and saw the actual ocean. The closest was the harbor which wasn't the same thing. "Well I guess we should find a beach somewhere to relax. Like Destiny Islands but this time with less attacks." Sorin had been expecting Audrey to try to throw a snowball eventually so he was able to bring his arms up to block the snowball. Still he grinned slightly as he got some snow in his hands and formed it into a ball to throw after her. "Don't think you can win! I actually have experience with snowball fights, unlike you!" |

Though Audrey tried to outrun Sorin, the snowball still hit her square in the back, making her stumble down into the snow. She got back up quickly, shaking the snow out of her hair. "No fair! You grew up in snow!" She had been about to throw another back at him, when an idea came to her. With a smile, she threw the current snowball at the swordsman in a distraction, then began conjuring up her magic, a construct forming in front of her. As she gathered up the snow for it, she then proudly declared. "Well, you might have experience, but I have imagination!" With that, she set off her catapult construct, a large snowball heading right towards Sorin. |

Sorin smirked slightly as his snowball managed to hit. He ducked under the next one Audrey threw and was preparing his next snowball when he saw what she did. His eyes widened as he was forced to literally dive out of the way and he still got hit by a lot of the snow just due to the sheer amount. "Hey that's cheating!" He shouted as he threw some of the snow back at her. It was strange Sorin thought in the back of his mind. When he first arrived in these worlds he expected to find himself in a lot of fights and yet here he was having a snowball fight with a girl who he still wasn't one hundred percent sure about his feelings for. It was rather nice all things considered though. |

Even as Sorin threw some snow at her, Audrey couldn't help but burst out laughing, falling back into the snow. She stopped after a moment, having to comment in between breaths, "Oh my god...your face...just...pbbbthahahaha!" She went back to laughing her head off, hands over her eyes and her feet kicking out repeatedly. It was in the midst of her guffawing that she realized that she hadn't laughed this much since she Converged. For her, everything prior to this was mostly trying to get out of dying, moments of feeling sorry for herself, or trying to get away from her 'protector'. Even with her acting cheerful just to hide the pain she was going through, this was probably the first time in a long while that she just let loose and laugh like a madwoman. As her laughter began to die down, she took in some breaths, looking up to the night sky with a wide grin. "I've never had this much fun in my life. Ignis would probably be mad seeing me like this." However, mentioning that man's name turned her smile back into a frown, thinking back to the information Greg relayed to her beforehand. To know that he couldn't die...hell, to know that he was probably her manifestation still troubled her. She kept it to herself, however, not wanting to bother Sorin with her personal troubles while they were just hanging out. |

Despite what had happened Sorin couldn't help but join Audrey in laughing. It was just so absurd since he had no idea that Audrey would try something like that. Plus he hadn't had a laugh like that in a long time so it was rather nice. Sorin smiled slightly despite as he sat down beside her. "Yeah it was pretty fun I have to admit. It's been years since I've actually been in a snowball fight." However once Audrey's mood changed with the mention of Ignis he sighed softly as he put a hand on her shoulder. "We'll find a way to stop him for good Audrey." Sorin said. Not matter what his feelings for Audrey extended to Sorin knew that he wasn't going to leave her alone in facing Ignis. "So let's just enjoy today and not think about him until tomorrow." |

Thankfully, Sorin managed to break through her personal troubles before she could worry about them further. As Audrey looked up to him, about to give her gratefulness to him being there as always, she couldn't help but to stop herself and look into his eyes. From the moment they met, she had been attracted to him, but with where they were, sitting on a soft bed of snow with the moon shining down on them, he looked more handsome to her than he had before. It was silly, she told herself, that she was still fawning over a guy's looks; that was what got her in trouble with Ignis before. But, as she also told herself, Sorin was nothing like the man who was possibly a fragment of her subconscious. Even if he didn't show it much, he was genuinely kind and friendly, not faking it to get under her skin. He...actually cared... She couldn't help herself. On instinct, she closed the gap, planting her lips against his. For a moment, she didn't even think of the consequences; she was certain this was how she felt about him, and she wanted to show him now instead of waiting any longer. It...just felt right to her... However, she quickly realized what she just did before she could get to into it. As quickly as she closed in, she broke away from the kiss, turning away from Sorin and covering her face, hiding her beet-red face and embarrassment. "OhmygodIcan'tbelieveIdidthatI'msosorryI..." She just delved into incoherent babbling then, unable to face him with what she did. It was just like in Neverland, only going further beyond a simple hug. |

Audrey seemed to have calmed down now that they weren't talking about Ignis and Sorin was going to say something else but that and pretty much everything else went out of his mind as soon as Audrey pressed her lips against his in a kiss. Now Sorin had no experience in romance in the slightest so this was his first kiss. That and the suddenness of the whole thing made the swordsman freeze completely. Well not completely as he was flailing his arms mostly to keep himself from falling over. 'OhgodsheiskissingmewhatdoIdo?!' Sorin thought as he struggled to figure out how to respond to this. It thankfully would be taken out of his hands when Audrey broke the kiss on her own and babbled an apology. "I-It's okay...I-I wasn't expecting it..." Sorin said as he looked away embarrassed as well. What was he supposed to say after she kissed him like that? |

For a while, Audrey just couldn't bring herself to face Sorin again, too embarrassed by her own actions. What could she possibly say to him after a stunt like that? It was over; she completely blew it with him-- She was quick to mentally slap herself before she could delve further into thoughts of personal doubt. She made a stupid mistake, that was true, but she couldn't just leave it like this like she usually would. She had to suck it up and start facing this like an adult instead of a squealing schoolgirl with a crush. So, taking a deep breath, she turned to face the swordsman, trying to find the right words. "Sorin, I...I don't know what came over me there. I mean, the mood-lighting with the moon and the way you looked then...I just couldn't help myself. That was stupid of me and I shouldn't have done that after we said we were going to see for ourselves how we feel." She had to pause as she realized how that sounded of her. She usually tripped over her own words, or tried to hide her issues by acting super cheerful. This was probably the first time she started sounding mature on the matter. Shaking her head, the young woman placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "Can we just try to forget about it? I won't do it again unless it feels right, I promise." |

Sorin was still blushing as it took him a few seconds to compose himself. It was good that Audrey took the time to apologize as that gave Sorin the time to think about how he was going to respond. The shift from how she normally talked was noticed but it was rather nice to hear her talk like that. This was a side of Audrey he did want to see more of but that was something they should talk about later. "Alright. It's for the best that we just forget about this. But I just want to say, nothing has changed because of this. Our plans I mean." Sorin said, adding the last sentence quickly as he realized how that sounded. "I'm not going to hold it against you and we're still going to travel together for a while, right?" |

"Yeah..." Audrey simply gave a smile, relieved that Sorin was as understanding as ever. She still mentally berated herself for acting on an impulse like she did, but she was glad that they were still friends at the very least, still taking the time to decide how they really felt. This night reminded her that she shouldn't just rush into things, that they were still young and had all the time in the world. With that, she looked up to the starry sky, putting her hands behind her back. "Well, I guess we spent enough time here. Can't really think of what else to do besides going to visit Santa or meeting my favorite characters in the movie, and I'm sure you don't wanna put up with that." |

It was probably going to be something they would have to deal with later but for now, Sorin was happy to let things drop. He wasn't good with anything romantic so it would give him time to better understand these kinds of things. If they did go that way which after the fun they had now, Sorin wasn't really discounting. "Sounds like a good idea. Plus it would get me back in my regular clothes. You really got lucky with your outfits here. They were all pretty normal." Sorin said a bit teasingly to Audrey. "So should we go on my ship or yours? Or should we just take our own ships?" It still felt a little strange to him that he was going to be traveling with a girl that had feelings for him and he wasn't sure how he felt about her but he pushed those thoughts away. Audrey was a friend and now matter what was going to happen during their time traveling, nothing was going to change that at least. |
