(Just me and Adri. Takes place after Date at the Carnival and That Person's Name Is)

Ever since the battle in Twilight Town, James has been in a bad mood. Nothing he had done could change it. So he decided to take a little camp out here in Traverse Town. More people lived here than James had expected but to his annoyance there was no real prey for him to hunt. No one with any sufficent magical abilities other than the moogles and they were no fun to hunt. But this was a common world for newcomers to arrive in so he was bidding his time, waiting for the right target.

Meanwhile in the first district Sorin stepped out of the Save Point and turned to look back at it as he waited for Audrey. After their rather successful date at the carnival, the two decided to come here, to see one of the original worlds from the Kingdom Hearts series. From what Sorin had heard the world had expanded and he was excited to see what was new.

It didn't take long before Audrey walked out of the Save Point next, taking a look around afterwards. From what she remembered, Traverse Town was a hub world for those who lost their worlds to the Heartless, initially containing three districts. After the events of Dream Drop Distance, however, it gained two new ones, including a coliseum area.

Not that she was interested in fighting right now. She wanted to spend more time with Sorin, especially after having a good time at the carnival.

So, putting her hands behind her back, she walked up to Sorin and asked, "So, where should we go? One of the new districts? Somewhere familiar?"

"It doesn't matter to me. How about we just take our time and walk around, take in the sights?" Sorin said as he smiled at Audrey. Honestly neither of them were in any hurry and this could be a nice and relaxing trip after the more exciting date at the carnival. They could take things nice and slow.

James smirked as he looked down the scope of his rifle. Right as he had been getting bored two people appeared from a Save Point. It seemed luck was on his side today. The guy wasn't too interesting but the girl would be much more fun to hunt. But James was a patient person. He could watch and observe the two as he waited for the perfect moment to strike. It made the hunt so much more fun after all.

"Yeah, sounds good," Audrey said, smiling back at Sorin. Compared to all the screaming she did before, just having a nice walk through a calm night sounded relaxing to her. Hopefully without any Heartless deciding to jump in and attack.

That said, as they began their stroll through the town, she couldn't help but feel they were being watched, a chill going up her spine. She instinctively pulled the hood of her cape over her head, hoping she wouldn't be identified. She also hoped Sorin wouldn't notice, not wanting her possible paranoia disrupt their time together.

To get her mind off the possibility of a stalker, she instead looked up to the starry sky, more to be seen thanks to the lack of worlds losing itself to the Heartless. It was a lot more beautiful in person than it was looking through a TV screen.

"You know...you almost forget these worlds are video games. I mean, they're not now, but just...experiencing it all in person...it's different from just being separate from it. You know what I'm saying?" She was almost rambling at this point, so she kept quiet after that, just humming a tune to herself. It wasn't a song from her favorite band, but rather, one from her favorite game.

Sorin noticed Audrey put up her hood but ignored it as he didn't really see it as a big deal. Still the two walked together and after the much more exciting time at the carnival this slower and calmer time was a nice contrast.

"Yeah I know what you mean. You only just see such a smaller part of the worlds in game but actually being here, there is just so much more to it. More places and more people. " Sorin said as he nodded in agreement.

Back with James, he kept his eye on the two. As the pair were heading towards the Second District. It is a fairly open area that would make sniping them easier but he wouldn't be able to use any traps he had set up in the Third District.

However as James watched an idea popped into his head. A way to bring the two of them to him or maybe even separate them, so he could focus one down at a time. With a foul smile James used his gravity magic to move from rooftop to rooftop, heading towards Second District ahead of the two. He had the perfect bait in mind that he doubted any so called heroic Convergers couldn't ignore.

"Yeah..." Audrey said with a nod, pausing in her humming momentarily. "Though it's kinda weird that almost nothing's continuing with the storyline. It's almost like the universe is stuck in a massive pause button until the series continues or whatever."

The rambling was keeping her mind off the possibility of being watched, calming her nerves somewhat. As they arrived in the Second District, she took a look around as she tried to think of another subject for them to talk about. Thankfully, no Heartless appeared to disrupt their peaceful walk, and despite her paranoia, it didn't seem like anyone was spying on them. Just as she was about to ask Sorin something, another question of his life back in the Realm of Reality, a thought occurred to her. Sure, most worlds were restored after the first game, but maybe...

With that thought, she suddenly grabbed Sorin by the hand and told him, "Actually, there's something I wanna go check real quick," before running off and dragging him along. Eventually, she would take him to an alleyway, in front of a door at the end. Just as quickly as she brought them here, she went through the door...

In 3...2...1...

"PUPPIES!!!!"

Her energized scream could probably be heard all throughout the town.

Audrey raised up a good point that Sorin hadn't fully realized. The main story of Kingdom Hearts was at a standstill. Things should have escalated into the next game yet it hasn't yet. Was it part of the fact that the games hadn't been released yet? It was a troubling thing to think about but not something that Sorin could actually deal with at the moment.

Sorin blinked as Audrey took his hand and pulled him along through the alley and as soon as he saw the door he knew what Audrey wanted to see. The swordsman smiled and shook his head as she shouted. Not that he could blame her as the little things were adorable.

--------------------------------------------

James meanwhile smirked as he heard the scream. It turns out his prey were right in the perfect place for him to set his trap. With them at one side of the house it would attract all the attention which would let him slip in and get his bait.

Indeed, to the surprise of no one, inside the Dalmatians' House, the dream-wielder was found on the floor, surrounded by many excitable puppies that clambered onto her, licking her face and nudging her for pets all around. In this pile of adorableness, Audrey was squealing and shouting happily, grabbing and petting many puppies at once. All the while, Pongo and Perdita watched on, looking just as enamored at the scene with their children before them.

"Oh my god, they're more adorable in person!" Audrey screamed as she held up one that licked her face happily. "Who's a good puppy, who's a good puppy~! You are~!"

She didn't even seem to acknowledge Sorin's presence, to lost in the pile of cuteness to notice anything around her. Not even the potential threat about to close in on them.

Well that was exactly what Sorin was expecting. He just stood there and watched as Audrey was surrounded by the puppies. A few of them went over to him and he crouched down and petted them. He would let Audrey be in her own little world for the time being. He could wait and there were still plenty of puppies that were too impatient to get their turn with Audrey to go over to Sorin.

This left Sorin alert enough to notice all the way down at the other end of the house was a man holding one of the puppies. Sorin couldn't get a good look at him but he did see the man lifting up a gun, pointed all the way down the hall to them.

"Audrey!" Sorin shouted, trying to get her aware of the threat that had just arrived.

Unfortunately, Audrey was still wrapped up in her pile of puppies to notice someone at the other end of the hall, or even hear Sorin trying to get her attention. She was too busy laughing, cooing, and petting as many of the puppies as she could.

But then the gunshot rang out, snapping her back to reality. Though no one was hurt, the shot hitting the wall, it was enough to alert everyone, the puppies scattering about in a panic, the parents stiffening at the warning, and Audrey immediately getting up to her feet.

She looked to Sorin for a brief moment, her eyes widened at the sound and the possibility of what could've happened to the other puppies. Without even a second to waste, she ran to the next room, frantically searching for as many puppies as she could. Whatever she could find in any room, she found them hiding under various pieces of furniture, too scared to even come out. Every room she searched, looking up and down and counting the puppies.

The dream-wielder arrived back in main entrance after several moments, her panicked look still on her face. She had counted down as many puppies as she could, even double checking to make sure that she didn't mistake the same one for another.

"There's only 98 puppies..." she said shakily, on the verge of freaking out. "There's a puppy missing, there's a puppy missing, oh my god, it better not be hurt, it better not..."

Sorin would have to stop her before she completely lost it.

While Audrey had been counting the dogs, Sorin had ran after the man he saw but by the time he got there, the man had already left the building and there was no sign outside of where he went.

Sorin turned back to Audrey who looked to be on the verge of panicking. He grabbed her gently and said. "The one who shot at us took the puppy. He's probably using it as bait. There's no other reason for him to take it and alert us like that. I couldn't tell where he went so we have to search district by district carefully." That had to be the reason why the attacker seemingly missed after showing himself to Sorin and taking a puppy. It made no other sense otherwise.

"We can find him and rescue that puppy, right Audrey?" Sorin added with a comforting smile.

Just knowing that the missing puppy was taken and not injured in any way was enough reassurance for Audrey, even if it was a little. She calmed herself somewhat, looking up at Sorin with a nod. "Yeah...you're right." Her brows then furrowed, giving a good indication of what she planned to do. "We'll find that jerk and make him pay for dognapping that puppy!"

With that, she was already headed outside, making her way through the streets of the district to begin her search. It was then that Heartless began to appear, but she used her magic to swap them out of her way, ignoring them for the moment. All that mattered to her was finding the puppy and bringing it back home.

Good Audrey had calmed down and was thinking about what to do, only to immediately leave through a group of Heartless that Sorin unfortunately did not have such an easy way of passing through. The swordsman grit his teeth as he lost sight of Audrey after getting held up for a few seconds by the Heartless. Now they were going to be split up.

Meanwhile James had been watching the two and seeing the girl going on ahead brought a smirk to his face. The puppy whimpered but James paid it no mind, after all it was just bait. The girl was heading for an area he had already set up some traps. It was nothing too special but it would be enough to take the girl out. After all who was expecting things like concussive mines in a place like Traverse Town?

Indeed, Audrey had been so wrapped up in finding the puppy that she didn't notice any traps in her wake. She just looked up and down, peering over the alleyways while cooing out, "Heeeeere, puppy puppy... It's okay... I'm not gonna hurt you..."

She continued calling out for the dalmatian, making clicking sounds with her tongue and clapping her hands together. As she turned a corner to continue her search...

Click

Beep...

BAM

She didn't have enough time to yell out her surprise as the mine set off under her feet, throwing her off balance. Another followed where she landed, throwing her back and colliding into a building wall.

The dream-wielder was thrown in a daze, her ears ringing, her whole body aching. Barely conscious, she tried to push herself up, flopping against the ground and only managing to drag herself. "Pu...ppy..."

With the girl dazed and hurt from his mine, James was easily able to jump down from the roof that he was watching from and walk over to her. Really for his first true hunt of a Converger it was almost disappointing. But then again it wasn't like many Convergers would be able to predict or know how to look for traps like these. It was a shame really. Hopefully his next target would make things much more interesting.

That wasn't to say that James was too cocky as he was keeping a close eye on the girl as he approached, ready to crush her under his gravity if she tried to fight back. "Sorry girl but that should already be running back home as it did its job." James said as he prepared to tie Audrey up so he could take her away before her companion could find them.

Audrey could barely hear or see the man approaching her, her ears still ringing from the blasts and her sight a blur. In that brief moment, her mind flashed to another, more traumatic event, the explosion throwing her off her feet, the fire burning her clothes...the blade at her throat, the attempted rescue only making it slash across quickly... For a moment, it seemed she was too lost in painful memories to even notice she was about to be captured.

However, it wasn't until the last minute that she finally registered what was going on. She saw the blond-haired man getting close, rope in hand. In spite of her weakness at the moment, the sight of the rope and its intended use and the rushing memories caused her to snap.

She screamed in fury, suddenly lunging herself at the man in an attempt to tackle him down. The Dreamweaver had been drawn, the girl attempting to drive the bladed edges of the bow's arc into his arms, force him to drop the rope.

James clenched his teeth as he dropped the rope and pulled away from the girl. He had been sure that the blast from his mine was enough to completely debilitate the girl but it looks like she was tougher than he had anticipated. James couldn't help but smirk as after all, a prey that fought back was much more fun than one that went down easily. Still he had a time limit so it was best to end these things quickly.

"Gravity." James said as he did his best to ignore the pain. He didn't put too much into this spell as the orb of energy appeared and the increased gravity took effect. He wanted it to be just enough so he could capture her and escape. Her companion wasn't as interesting as she was so James didn't mind waiting to take care of him another time.

Audrey had been about to lunge at the man again, tackle him down with the intent to choke him out with the arc of her bow. However, that changed when the Gravity spell took effect. The pain of the mines already weighed her down even as she fought against it, but with the increasing gravity, she was set firmly into the ground, unable to get back up no matter how hard she pushed.

She was warned about this man, from Xelha after their first meeting and Greg before they wound up in Yamatai. The guy who had Gravity magic and hunted down mages like 'trophies'. She had a feeling from how they described him that he was a cheap bastard, but she didn't think it'd be to this level.

Barely able to even lift her arm, she held a hand out, attempting to conjure something with her magic. While the magic mist appeared around her arm, the light of the attempted construct kept sputtering out, her focus lost while her body was forced down.

"C...come on..."

"You're more resilient than I was expecting." James commented as he prepared to subdue his newest capture. Things went pretty much entirely as planned this time and James learned again that Convergers did not seem to have any real answer for his Gravity spells once they got caught by it. It was a good thing to keep in mind though for the future but now that he had his target, he just has to tie her up and get out of here.

At least that is what James thought until he jumped back in order to avoid getting sliced in half, and consequentially dropping his spell.

Sorin glared at the man as he stood between him and Audrey. He couldn't fully tell what the man did to her but he couldn't risk taking his eyes off him in order to check on her.

"Audrey are you alright?" Sorin asked simply.

James scowled at the interruption as he had expected more time. Still no matter, he would just crush both of them under his gravity, kill the man and take his target. With a smirk, he held his hand out as another orb of energy appeared to once again crush down on Audrey and now Sorin.

Sorin cried out as quickly felt himself being forced down, under a great weight that had appeared out of nowhere. Using all his strength before he was completely forced to the ground, Sorin swung his blade, cutting right through the orb. Just like that, the orb and the weight vanished.

James could only stare in disbelief at the spell that he had been maintaining just disappeared like he had cancelled it.
