The faint chirp of crickets echoed all throughout the visible bog. Everything was waking up from the wet slumber they had the previous night. Ellorie had never been much for sleep, she usually leaned over her branch, letting her paws dangle as she stared down into the fog, which somehow got to the point of being so thick, you could only see figures or shadows move across the ground. Her green-blue eyes scanned the area. She was hungry. Swiping her tongue across her lips, she stood up carefully, making sure not to lose balance on the narrow branch as she inched her way towards the trunk. Digging her claws into the bark she began to slide down, until she was at a good distance to jump. She sprang from the tree and landed in a soupy puddle of mud, which of course, splashed up into her coat. Great. Now I'll have to get that out. She mumbled silently in her head. Sighing, she continued onward, not looking forward to her bathing time in the bog.

Just waking up from her morning nap, Septer stretched under the large tree she called home. she yawned and shook the dew off of her fur. she licked the small amounts of mud off of her small paws. she sat under the tree, looking out into the field, wondering what she would encounter for the day. she always made is a point to remember the days she had already lived, and to wish and wonder what will be ahead. after a while, she found herself staring into oblivion, until she saw something out of the corner of her eye. thew the fog, on the edge of the forest, she saw a blur slowly pacing. Septer ducked her head down, trying not to be seen.

Ellorie trotted along, glancing behind her occasionally, just to be precautionary. She felt the mud begin to try in the tips of fur that it hung from, and she growled out loud. She would have to put off her pace, and stop at one of the nearby pools to rinse. She couldn't have this sticky nonsense slowing her down. She scanned the perimeter and saw a tiny little pond ahead of her, so she headed towards it. When she reached it, she glanced at her reflection, which looked tired, and worn. Frowning at her self, she stepped into the pool, and began to lick her matted fur. In no time, she was 'clean' in stray cat terms. Climbing back onto dry land, she shook, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw movement. This made her freeze. She stood as still as possible for a few moments, and then called, "H-hello?" No response, so she stepped forward. She saw pale colored fur, ducking down near a tree. She titled her head, "I mean no harm, I'm just passing through." She mewed calmly, wondering what the opposing feline was going to do.

The tall fur on Septer's back rose. Oh great! she sees me! Septer tried to back up further, but she tripped over a root, making her fall into the shallow puddle of mud that gathered from the late night rain. she quickly stood back up, and looked around the tree. She saw the stranger cat slowly inching her way over. Septer held her breath and froze. she rarely sees any other animals, unless its a field mouse, or the occasional deer. "Hello?" she shouted, trying to make herself sound bigger then she was. when the stranger continued walking, Septer decided to jump out and startle them. she pounced in front of the cat, then quickly turned, trying to hide her large scar that deformed her eye. she put her head down low, "Who are you?"

Ellorie heard the opposing feline speak, and lowered her head slightly. Maybe this wasn't the best idea, maybe she was about to get herself into a huge mess. She was about to come closer when the cat jumped out at her, making her jump back slightly, unsheathing her claws by pure instinct. She stared at the cat for awhile, her eyes wide and alert. She finally began to notice that she wasn't the only one who was frightened. Every cat in this bog had some fear of dying, or of making the most enemies the possibly could. This was her first actual encounter with another cat, and she was not prepared, but she didn't want to end up making an enemy in the Sanction. Calmly, she brushed down her own fur, and looked confidently back at the pale she-cat. "My name is Ellorie, I mean no harm." She mewed, and then hesitated before she said, "I come on peaceful grounds." She either just got herself into a load of trouble, or into possibly her first alliance. She couldn't read this cat though, so she waited, preparing herself to fight, just in case.
