-despite being a man in his 40s, Kent appears to have the appearance of a man in his mid thirties, and Warden officers are allowed to customize their uniforms to suit their personalities. As such, Kent wears a heavy leather coat adorned with pockets in which he keeps various articles for recording his adventures and discoveries at sea.
_________________________________________________________

Personality: Kent’s personality is rather energetic, despite his age, and he is always a life of the party that he calls life. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, as well as the Warden Order, and the sea creatures he studies and cares for. He only really becomes enraged when witnessing the unlawful, or cruel killing of sea creatures by sailors of other nations, and has been known to engage such with the full force of his ship.

Height: 6 ft, 8”

Weight: 300lb (90% muscle)

Hair style/color: Long unkempt hair, raven-black in color, with a matching beard.

Eye color: his eye color is a matching vibrant green

Flag: While the Warden’s have a standard flag that all of their vessel’s fly, Certain Wardens, like Gray and Kent, add their own flair to their colors. Kent’s flag has the Warden crest holding a Whip and shepherd crook in it’s claws.

Weapons: As a Warden, Kent is well skilled with various melee weapons and martial arts. However, his distinguishing weapon of choice is a whip-sword he carries that was gifted to him from one of the mer-tribes, who claimed it was from the lost city of Atlantis. The exact mechanics of how it works escape him, and neither he, nor the Order’s engineers dare to crack it open to find out, lest they place it in some state of eternal disrepair.

History: Nathanial Kent’s history is quite the simple one, born to parents in Kingston that operated a fishing business. Growing up was rather ordinary for him as well, as he played with all the other boys his age and got into scuffs and scrapes. However, when he turned 10, he began being able to hear the voice of some of the sea creatures. Naturally, out of concern, his parent’s took him to the doctor, but found that nothing was out of the ordinary, either physically or mentally. With this knowledge, his parents relaxed a bit and thought no more on the strangeness of it. When he was 12, his father took him onto his fishing vessel, which helped him learn to sail, and navigate on the water.

At age 15, at the request of his father, he joined the royal Navy out of port Royal, serving as a deckhand on various ships, while keeping his abilities secret. However, during a escort mission, the convoy came under the eye of a Kraken, which began wrecking havoc on the ships. When the fleet began to target the kraken with harpoon, musket, and cannon shot, his head resonated with it’s painful screams and apologies on how it was just curious and wanted to examine them, pleading with them to stop as it thrashed about in pain, sinking more ships. Finally, as the creature finally began to lose strength, his commanding officer gave the order for a final broadside to be prepared. At this point, Nathanial reacted rather violently, arguing against it, saying all the things that the kraken had been shouting to him. The men stared a moment before laughing. Until he jumped off the ship and onto the creature, trying, in vain effort to stop the bleeding of a gunshot wound. Angered by his defiance, the commanding officer ordered the attack while Nathanial was still on the creature. One final cannon roar saw the creature dead, and Kent imprisoned for the rest of the voyage to Kingston.

Charged with insubordination, Kent was stripped of his rank, and sentenced to 5 years in Port Royal prison. It was in his third year of imprisonment that The Warden Order came for him, and he came face to face with Commander Warren Hastings, the man known in the Royal Navy as the Gray Warden. It was here, he was told that the Wardens bought his freedom, and that he was being commissioned by the Order to study and protect the creatures of the sea. It was a offer that Kent took without hesitation.
