Going out to my pond to see if I can catch some water beetles and bugs for the new aquatic enclosures. Will let you know how I do.

Sorry I wasn't awake, snails are kinda boring. It is cool to watch Dragon fly nymphs but I've never kept them, heard they take awhile to develop. I hope you find yourself some Water Beetles. I haven't looked for them, although they are probably out there somewhere.

Going to check the back yard by the pool tonight. Hoping they are attracted to the water and the lights?

I think they may be more prevalent in August by me? May try again on Sunday.

I think if you get a good showering then they will come out. Are you trying at night? They like to prowl at about 10pm here. I will see if I can get some pictures of them if I find them again, needs to rain [not tonight though busy] before they usually come out to play.

I have been checking the lights in the evening but nothing. I have a pond that I dip net in but the vegetation is very heavy.

Not after I scoop out about 10 pounds of weeds ;)

I have caught virtually everything else. They must not like my pond for some reason or my reputation as a collector has spread among the bugs :)
