His Imperial Majesty's Loyal Knight

For thousands of years battles have been fought on land and on the high seas. Against pirates and other naval powers, nations waged war. Now it is time to prove that you naval strength is superior to your neighbors who at any second could and may unleash their navy upon your peaceful or warlike nation. Do you have it in you to have the strategic mind of naval commander and lead your ships into combat and in the end through the blood and the steel bring them back home. It is up too you... The back story is that you are patrolling The Strait of the Northern Sea; a collection of small and medium sized islands. The waters are shallow in some places and hundreds of feet deep in others, how you navigate and fight in these waters is up to you. The limitation to the ships is six, I am also limiting the playing ground even further, one aircraft carrier, one battleship. Last thing we want is six aircraft carriers wreaking overpowered havoc on us with out having the slightest bit of fun. Also, I am not looking for brawn I am looking for brains and skill. Dont just send your ships blindly into the fight guns blazing because that is how you loose. I will also be looking for knowledge of military terminology and tactics(look them up on google and you might just find some of the coolest stuff you will read). The last nation to have at least one ship still afloat wins. The prize should you win this "competition" is exclusive bragging rights and something I am sure can be worked out with our glorious Emperor of the Crown Federation of Recon. ![]() This is the Area of Operation, or the AO. ---Application--- Nation: Internationally Recognized National Name: Naval Commander: Names and classes of the ships you will entering(you may have one ship or at max six): Any experience fighting out at sea in an rp? You have to many aircraft, also yes this is a live fire rp. As I have said before though it is non-canon. If you do not know what this means then I will educate you. It means that what ever happens in this rp is not related or affects any of your current nations strength, whether it be military or otherwise. Also, I need your nations Internationally Recognized Name. Once you have fixed those ups and cleaned up your application then I can accept you, Eternan |

Rostrog, modern naval vessels have the ability to filed and house multiple aircraft, last I checked a United States air craft carrier had the ability to 'carry' over 50 aircraft. Air craft are a cruical part of modern naval warfare, removing them would cripple any naval force not to mention making my air craft carrier useless. |

You have to remember that this is a battle of smarts, not strength. You have to work with what you have. |

Alright since this is a naval rp, how about we tell each other some background of our ships. Which do you believe is the most intimidating ship in your entire fleet. What is the history of your navy, the history behind the names of the ships. Anything you want. |

Well the Poretos Navy is the main force of the Empire - If you've looked at my map you will know why- and was formed just after they replied to help from the mainland (Now deep within the empire) and they headed from the small island now recognised just as the start of the Empire. And so most names are from Norse Gods. |
|
Kieran Heal, aka Edmund Poretos, has been exiled by the Emperor of the Federation for irresponsible job ethics, as well as continual disrespect to the region and its members. He has also gone against the region's ideologies and worked against the benefit and glory of the region. He has been condemned on 27/07/14. | |

The Aemen fleet is in the area on the orders of Elector-Margrave Ridley Folcwalding, King Reginald II's militaristic cousin. Ridley tracked the movements of the other fleets beforehand and predicted their paths would cross in the Northern Sea. The Man O' War is Ridley's creation. Its bulky and heavily armoured structure allows it to safely carry two smaller-than-average submarines and deploy them when need be. It's weight and increased size to other carriers in the Aemen navy meant it was dubbed as a 'Margrave' class carrier, which is a new carrier class altogether. The Sleight of Hand and the Hagfish were also built specifically to be the first submarines to accompany the Man O' War on its voyage, though their Conspirator class is that of a common submarine used throughout Aemen naval forces. The Sacheyenyani navy is at a slight disadvantage here, as their tactics are largely based on having enough ships available to cover all the bases in pre-planned assaults. They're huge fans of swarm-and-pack tactics, and almost everyone plays a role in every part. Both the Hammerhead and the AEGIS are two new things I'm trying out here. When outfitted with the ARES (a sonar system used to detect things of a certain size and larger up, as well as give approximate locations of said items for increased accuracy) and the ZEUS (an anti-missile system that utilizes UV rays to detonate projectiles in air from a distance), the AEGIS is designed to protect itself and the ships behind it while still maintaining battle capabilities. While well protected from the top, the AEGIS is vulnerable from beneath the waves, which is where the Hammerhead comes in. It's designed to act as the protection for the AEGIS' underbelly. Most of the classifications in the navy are derived from various mythological sources, mainly pertaining to sea gods. Most of them are taken from Greco-Roman and Nordic mythologies. |

Just an FYI, keep all the chemical warfare to a minimum the last thing I want is a yellow haze engulfing the entire rp. Also, there will be NO NUCLEAR MISSILES. I know many of us have nuclear subs capable of wiping out countries ten times the size of China but I do not think it is necessary to use nuclear weapons to wipe out a small task force of six ships. Anyways, I do not mind the use of chemical weapons. Biological weapons is a no go, and nuclear weapons is a no go. But hey don't let that get you down, the fighting has yet to begin. Or at least fully start. |

Oh also, can all nations who have fleets in the circled area of the map please post your position on this thread. THIS INFORMATION IS NOT TO BE USED IN THE IC. IF SUCH INFORMATION IS USED IN THE IC I WILL CONSIDER IT METAGAMING AND YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THIS RP. But just post your fleets position so we can keep track of our movements in the Strait. |

Fair enough. I was wondering where the line would be drawn on what's allowed. Don't worry though, our secret weapon is something a lot less complicated than even chemicals. |
