The Rostrogian task force dubbed as TF3 sailed into the Strait of the Northern Sea with ease. All six ships were at normal readiness and were scanning the area with only two F-18 fighter jets on patrol and one AWAC stretching the radar sights of TF3. Admiral Leon Gent stood on the bridge of the flagship, the battleship HRMS Sea Serpent. He looked to Captain William Howerson, second in command of the Sea Serpent and smiled.

"This should be a normal walk of the mill patrol in this sector, not to much to ask for. Then we get to head back home" Cpt. Howerson chuckled a little bit at the Admirals remark and responded in his normal sarcastic tone.

"Oh but sir, what about the enemy who are over the horizon ready to strike at our beloved nation. We the Rostrogs first defense" Howerson chuckled some more but Admiral Gent just shook his head.

"Captain, we should always be prepared for everything and anything. We never know what is out there, it is the ocean, one of the last frontiers on this planet. Better remember that Captain otherwise you will end up dead and swimming with the fish and sharks." Admiral Gent looked sternly in Captain Howersons' face for a moment then laughed.

"Sir you should not do that, you scared me for a second" The two men laughed as the small task force sailed around the ocean on its normal patrol deployment of a year. The men and women of TF3 would soon find out that they were not going to be just on a normal patrol, they were smack in the middle of a combat zone that would soon see some of the regions navies come toe to toe for control of the Strait of the Northern Sea.

[The Captains of all ships in the Banitian fleet have met for a meeting. The Admiral is speaking]

Men, we find ourselves today in a "tough spot" so to speak. We have several fleets of unknown nationality facing us, and it seems like w'll have to get through them to take over the strait.
"Sir' Said one of the Captains. "We have acquired a message from one of the fleets. " He passed a piece of paper over to the Admiral. It read

This is Admiral Yusep, of the Sacheyenyani Holy Navy. It is my duty to inform you all that you are in private waters, as designated by the Empire. You are required, all of you, to give full identification and to cease all activities as soon as humanly possible."

The Admiral laughed a mocking laugh. "I have heard this many a time. I have lead many battles and conquered many nations. Many have asked for me to "leave" HA" He crumpled the message and tossed it away. "We will not re-act in any way. The only interaction between our fleets will be in live rounds!"

There were grumbles around the table. The captains were worried. It was not proper to lead there ships into a bloodbath. It was a mini fleet against several, which dint look good.

"I know what your all thinking, and I know the odds are against us. Here is what we will do. We will play defensive for awhile. For now we will shoot any ship and sub that comes to close, and every projectile out of the air. We will only return fire when they refuse to retreat. We will only stop firing when they back of from our zone. Nothing comes within 5 clicks of our fleet. If they do enter....they'll soon find there ships sailing to the bottom.

He pointed to the Captain of the Carrier,"Radio your jets, tell bombers to take down anything that comes within 5 clicks of our fleet. Tell the fighters to take out any on coming aircraft. And make sure the evasive maneuver is at the forefront of there minds. And make sure your messages are encrypted. "

He then pointed to the 2 captains of the light cruisers. " Captain Jaimson, your ship will help take out any aircraft that approach, Captain West, your ship will take on the enemy ships with the rest of us.

"The Carrier will take on the any submersibles in our area. That means anything unfriendly." He then turns to the whole room. " Anybody I haven't addressed will take on the enemy ships. And remember..." He looked, slowly at each of the Captains "Don't miss"

They all filed out of the room, relaying there orders. The admiral smiled. There radar and sonar systems were state of the art, and there troops trained to perfection. 3 seconds after a enemy missile was detected, another missile was heading out to stop it. He got up and headed out into the corridor.

He himself would keep watch, but before that, he sent a message out to the enemy fleets,

From: Admiral Erling Of Greater Banitia
To: Unidentified Fleets.
Encryption: None

We have set out a zone of 5 clicks around our fleet. If you value your lives, do not enter. If you do dare enter, you will find every missile speeding out toward you. Bare in mind, we wish to avoid as much bloodshed as possible.

The transmission came into the Rostrog Fleet and Admiral Gent laughed so hard he knocked his coffee over.

"Ah, As designated by the Empire, must cease all activity. Ah lets see here. No. Send them that message back, just say No, do not identify us, do not let them know a damn thing except for the fact that we say NO." Admiral Gent got onto the radio and called in the Reaper's Sow.

"Hello, yes, initiate sea wolf protocol. Correct, happy hunting Captain." Admiral Gent looked over his fleet he was ready. However he would do his best to steer clear of enemy fleets he would stay along the edge of the AO and harass any ship that came with in his CAO(Combat Area of Operations). The submarine however would go dark, evading and maneuvering between enemy fleets using hit and run tactics to sink enemy vessels. This was now a battle of complete domination of the Strait. A vital passage way for trade.

HRMS Reaper's Sow was heading in the direction of the fleet from the Imperial Royal Union. That was the subs first target, frequency interception was a specialty of the Rostrog Royal Navy and they prided them selves for being the worlds peeping tom.

The news of the missiles fired at the fleet from Poretos was as expected shot down by anti-missile defense systems, just a bit of harassing before drifting back into the shadows of the radar of the other fleets in the area. Hit and run was the name of the game, and Admiral Gent was an expert naval strategist. He intended to use every bit of knowledge to defeat the enemy. Naval Warfare was his game.

Yusep shook his head, almost sorrowfully. "Shall we engage?" The question broke him of his mild stupor. He pondered for a moment.
"Send out the rules of engagement. Even if it must be so, it shall be done the proper Sacheyenyani way. Tide?"
"The numbers are in, Diomassiotoko. We are clear to engage, with great efficiency. Just one problem."
"What might that be?" Yusep questioned, not at all unnerved by the disturbance.
"There was a submarine. Something, at least, below the waves. The ARES caught a brief glance of it, so we know it's there, but we don't know where its gone. It's not heading towards us, otherwise we'd still have it, but do be advised."
"Affirmative. Unit 1, I want you to disappear as well. Stick close, in case the Tide needs you, but make yourself scarce."
"Affirmative, Diomassiotoko." All Yusep had to do was take a deep breath, and he could smell it. On the decks of each ship, herbs and incense was being burnt in a big golden brazier, and prayers and chants sounded in strange and foreign tongues.
Unit 1 descended in the ocean, and sped up towards the AEGIS until it was directly underneath. The Tide and Unit 1 both broke off from the main group a little ways, attempting to draw attention to them, and to try and pull within firing range of an enemy combatant.

"From: Grand High Admiral Yusep Con'estus Advoiyer, Commander in Chief of Sacheyenyani Naval Forces.
To: Unidentified Fleets, the most honorable Admiral Erling.
Encryption: None

To Admiral Erling, I respect you, and this message does not immediately apply to you. I'm sure you and I can continue to work out an agreement, and I thank you for your honor in responding, and not hiding as some others.

To the others, whom have refused to reply and comply, it is now my duty to present to you our terms. You are now officially guilty of treason and violence against the Emperor, and will be treated with hostility. When the fighting begins, you will always have the option to retreat. If notice is given, all retreating vessels will be allowed to retreat. Know that we are not permitted to and will not retreat. Disabled vessels will not be fired upon.
Surrendering enemy combatants will not be tried in court but, based on the severity of the battle, be set free to their homes, sold into slavery, or executed. Special situations (combatants with mental disorders, prior slaves, etc.) will be given trial in court. Know that any and every method will be used to secure victory and preserve the lives of my men, including chemical warfare, kamikaze tactics, etc.

Know that I do not want blood shed anymore than any of you men do. I will fight if provoked. You have one final chance to identify or retreat. May the gods ever bless thy paths."

Yusep hit send on the telegram, and breathed deeply, eyes shut. He listened to the chanting of his men. It was psychological warfare, in most regards, but also a type of 'spiritual warfare'. It was meant to be unnerving to enemies, and motivating to allies. Yusep opened his eyes and joined in. A fire clicked inside him, and he smiled. This was going to be glorious.

"Flag Admiral, we have another encrypted warning." This time the radioman rushed all the way up from the radio room to the bridge.

"Well, well, well. Prepare for incoming assault. If they want to shoot us with whatever they have, let them. I'm thankful I loaded much more ammunition for ATLAS and our CIWS. Set ATLAS to 'Automated Obliteration' Mode, so it will automatically fire anti-missiles into any incoming missile. The CIWS will take care of the rest. Meanwhile just get Combat Air Patrol to stay up in the skies and fire upon any unknown object in the air that they see. I've changed my mind. We will defend here, and then fight in open waters. We are in shallower waters now, so we have to keep our two submarines on the surface. At least we won't get attacked from underneath. Keep up the defense from the surface onwards." Radetsky was rather efficient in giving out orders. He had at least studied the entire map of the area from geographical archives, satellite imaging and definitely through the Internet more than 30 times since he last left port. He was familiar, but most importantly, he was unpredictable. Like every other officer in the entire armed forces branch, he always took things the unconventional way.

"Oh, and one more thing, acquire as many radar locks we can get on any target that is not from our fleet. Hold fire at all costs. We don't want to appear hostile. Yet. If we have already become hostile, let them fire on us. So long as we don't have carpet bombers bombing us 24/7, or with ballistic missiles, we are rather tough to destroy." Radetsky, for the first time in the mission, was never so confident. He observed his radar carefully, before the captain of the Admiral D. Camargue replied him, "Sir, satellite images have failed to capture any further information. We at most can see some grey dots here and there, but they could be cargo shipping too, so we have to solely rely on radar and sonar. And by the way sir, our position doesn't put us in any optimal point for any devastating barrage by our big guns, if we need to open fire, we need to get closer."

Radetsky argued back, "Look, I don't intend to fight now. And if we have shells coming our way, the enemy is definitely in range of our big guns too. Let them fight my defenses, and let's not waste much of our ammunition. I need it, like always, in any branch of the armed forces of Imperial Royal Union, for one decisive blow. And that's all I need. Patience is a virtue. And waiting, is definitely, one of my favourite past times. And by the way, its tea time. Get the galley to serve tea and biscuits. Thank you."

The HRMS Reaper's Sow was parallel to the Imperial Royal Union's fleet. It was shadowing it for now, however it was deploying anti-radar lock technology and radar jamming technology to keep the I.R.U fleet on its toes. The long majestic sub sunk even deeper into the black waters of the Strait. They were waiting for a perfect opportunity to deploy their torpedoes at the two surfaced subs. In total there were some where between four-six ships. The sub could not fully tell with out giving up its position. Keeping out of range of the I.R.U four small doors opened and out slid four guided, radar jamming HE torpedoes. They quickly sped up and with their pilots at the controls in the submarine they aimed for the two submarines. One torpedoe would hit the bow of the submarine and the other would hit the stern knocking out the ability to move and the ability to know where it was going while under water. This move was done to sink the subs but if they were crippled then that would work as well. The Rostrog Royal Fleet wanted to be the only sub in the water. If they could remain undetected in the deeper waters then the Reaper's Sow would earn its battle commendations.

“Sir! Message received from one of the enemy fleets!” shouted one of the crewmen, who left his post to pass the telegram to Captain Saul. Saul skimmed through it whilst Vice Admiral van Goss scanned his face for any hint of fear.

“Sacheyenyani. They're asking for our surrender.” Saul looked up from the message, handing it to the Vice Admiral. Van Goss read through the terms carefully, chuckling ever-so slightly. It was clear to Saul that the Vice Admiral was highly unimpressed with Grand Admiral Yusep's demands.

“Captain, take this letter and have one of our pilots attach it to his F-35C's missile. That should prove to be a suitable answer for Yusep and his subordinates, but if not...”

“From: Vice Admiral Hennrick van Goss of the Aemen Royal Ocean Defence Force
To: Unidentified fleets, Admiral Erling, Grand High Admiral Yusep
Encryption: None

On the authority of His Majesty King Reginald II, I, Hennrick van Goss, order you all to cease your fighting. Surrender now and I promise no harm will befall you or your crewmen, you will be treated well and returned to your respective nations unharmed, able to see your friends and loved ones once again. We will only broadcast this offer once. Should you refuse to surrender and attempt to fire on our fleet, then I shall have no choice but to retaliate.

Aemen are descended from proud warriors, our wounds are cauterised with the screams of agony we rip from the lungs of our enemies. Surrender is not and never will be part of our doctrine. You have been warned, my friends. Make the choice that is in your crews' best interests.”

With that, van Goss sent his words to all other naval leaders, expecting his message would either fall on deaf ears or rile them to the point of provocation. Whatever the outcome, the Aemen fleet was nearing the border of the five click area the Banitians had informed everyone about. They hung back precariously on the edge, just out of range of the designated zone.

“Sir, approaching the Banitian warning zone. Shall we pull back?” asked one of the helmsmen. Van Goss stroked his chin thoughtfully as he weighed up the situation.

“Negative. Hold here, prepare the submersibles for deployment. The Banitians say they want to avoid bloodshed. Let's see if we can disappoint them.”

Around the Man O' War, an enormous show of water bubbled and boiled as the carrier began to open its belly, spewing out compressed air and flooding the two compartments the Sleight of Hand and the Hagfish were docked in. The closest fleets wouldn't even need binoculars to see the commotion erupting around the carrier as foam formed an enormous white ring around the ship's hull. Meanwhile, the Marksman and the Gaze's anti-missile weapons were pointed in the direction of the Banitian vessels, ever wary of the warning Erling had sent to them moments earlier.

"Sir!" One of the Navigators ran up to the Admiral. One of the fleets have reached our borders, 2 Submersibles have been deployed!"
"I want the missile defense systems standing by. Send a message to all ships to arm there torpedo systems! Signal the bombers to stand by," The admiral said. The crew men saluted and ran of.

"Get me Captain Terrence! And make sure the line's secure!" It wasn't long before the submersible captain's voice came online.
" I want you to take the Tsunami down into the depths and wait. Make your self invisible. There are 2 submersibles coming the fleets way, you duty is to take out there sonar systems, make them blind."
The Captain spoke " Sir, we will have to move to keep out of sight, that is the only way the Tsunami can mask herself from any sonar system."

"Then do that" The Admiral said. With the Tsunami's speed, the enemies would find her a tough fish to catch.
The Submersible captain signed of. The Admiral went to the bridge.
"All Torpedo systems are armed and ready Sir" The captain said. "Fire on my mark!" The sonar showed the 2 subs clearly. 1 word and 20 rockets of death would streak through the water, hungry for metal.

The room was filled with silence, with every ones eyes watching the sonar. It was killed or be killed, and the Banitians would not be killed.

He stood for a minute, thinking. "Halt all the engines." Yusep said at last, much to the surprise of the crew. "Can someone point out for me these Aemen fellows?"
"The ones dropping submersibles now, Diomassiotoko." One of the radio managers said to the Admiral. "That's where the message came from, at least."
"Excellent. Let us test these 'warrior descendants'." He smiled. "Tide, make an offensive gesture. Hold your fire, but really make them feel welcomed."
"Affirmative, Diomassiotoko. Why, may I ask?" Came the response from the Tide.
"Let them waste some ammunition, thinking they'll actually do something to us. Let's seem big. Unit 1, remain hidden. Have ATT measures ready for a surprise."

“From: Grand High Admiral Yusep

You claim the blood of warrior ancestors in your veins. As do we. Know that our offer will stand for the duration of the battle. Know that our warrior spirits will fight to the last. May the gods of the sea and war be with you today. Good luck."

The engines on all ships halted, bringing a dead stop to the charge. The guns on the S.S. Tide took aim towards the Aemen fleet, poised to strike at a moments notice. Down below, Unit 1 also halted its movement, it's ATTs clicking to the general direction of the Aemen fleet. But they would not fire. Not just yet.

Within 5 seconds, the ATLAS onboard the missile cruiser Broadsword sprung to life. A total of 25 projectiles were fired out in all directions in the water, detonating the first two torpedoes that let out two huge jets of water into the air. In the same instant, another torpedo hit the stern of the first submarine, the Unholy, permanently jamming the rudder at a position of 23º. The other torpedo hit the submarine Death, and the explosion rocked the submarine over to its right, and then it recovered to its initial position. However, the damage was obvious. The firing tubes could no longer launch any torpedo, it had been rendered useless.

Radetsky jumped out of the bridge of the Admiral D. Camargue, surveyed the damage, and concentrated as hard as possible in finding the source of the torpedoes. Upon removing his binoculars, his keen eye had spotted the very periscope of that very submarine that had fired the torpedoes. In fact, his binoculars had obstructed his vision and lost him 60 seconds of precious time. "Depth charge that submarine NOW! Don't sink it yet. Sink it when its out of the shallow waters. I don't want to have any of my escape routes obstructed by wreckage."

Radetsky looked around. The two submarines were obviously not at all useful for any further assault. He gave the orders for he submarines to remain surfaced, this time with the entire armament of 10 anti-ship missiles and 4 anti-air missile ready to fire at any approaching target. Meanwhile Radetsky also made a small note to himself: Tell High Command to improve the effectiveness of the ATLAS. The ATLAS had worked. But of course. Firing mini-missiles into incoming torpedoes were rather ineffective. Yet, they had worked.

"Sir, you may want to see this." The captain pointed to his 50-inch radar screen. "Well, well, well, it seems as if we have found on dear friend Grand High Admiral Yusep of the Sacheyanyani Holy Navy. How nice of them to pop up on radar. DISENGAGE. Just don't do anything." Radetsky still stood firm on his initial tactic.

Looking up, 2 dive bombers had begun their rounds of dumping depth charges into the area where he had spotted the hostile submarine. And based on the depth of the waters, he knew the submarine wouldn't have gotten too far.

"Sir, are you sure there's a submarine over there? We've been dropping depth charges for the past half an hour. And there's no huge explosion yet. Did you really see the submarine or did you just see a random shark?" The captain asked in a rather unimpressed tone. Obviously, the submarine had not been found.

"Fine, cancel the bombing. Keep those dive bombers in the air, use all our sonar equipment, find that submarine. Then dump depth charges back on that sub." Radetsky carefully considered his actions. Then, "Wait, don't bomb that submarine when we find it. Track it down. Then we should know where the big guns could fire."

Radetsky then headed down to the deck and examined the big guns. He personally went into the control unit and peered through the rangefinder and the calibrator. Taking a deep breath, he went back up to the bridge. The smaller sonar screen showed a rather unusual pattern, there were too many dots on the screen. Frustrated, Radetsky exclaimed, "JUST DUMP THE DEPTH CHARGES INTO EVERY SINGLE SPOT HERE! I really don't care if I end up putting a depth charge into a shark's mouth. Just do it."

There were stifled chuckles among the men as they heard the depth charges being dropped again and again. high above their heads. The Reaper's Sow wanted to fire again however they would wait until things died down up top. The captain was wondering how the main task force was faring.

Back at TF3 Admiral Gent looked through his binoculars scanning for enemy fleets so far his tactic of using the submarine to hunt instead of using his whole force was working. He was harassing the enemy and when that happened the enemy usaully made mistakes. So far the fleet had avoided any action but right now they were weaving in and out of the islands north east on the border of the AO of the Strait. The entirety of TF3 was on high alert, however something comical did happen. A pelican came to close and a CIWS caught sight of it, the pelican needless to say was no more. So it was good that he knew his systems were unprejudiced to anything, including mother nature.

The deception was brilliant. As the Tide drifted out further away from the fleet, they were faster leaving the range at which their enemy would be accurate. However, thanks to the ARES, even at this distance the Tide would be able to fire with surprising accuracy. "Preparing to open fire." Came the notification over the radio as the final adjustments were made.
"Negative. Hold your fire." Was the response, to the surprise of almost the entire fleet.
"... Sir?" The captain of the Tide asked hesitantly, forgetting the formality. "They are in range of the ARES. They'd never expect it from this distance, and we can gain an immediate advantage."
"Diomassiotoko, first." Yusep began, sagely. "Second, we could. But we won't. Aemen, and whoever these other fellows are, seem quite content to just tear each other up on their own." He smiled viciously. "Let's let them have it out, and whoever is the winner will be given their reward. Minimal effort for maximum output, you know."
"But diomassiotoko, what about the other fleets?"
"We're just sitting here. Unless my words have provoked an assault, they'll either wait out the storm like us, or join the great fray we've got going on across the way here. If they attack, we will show them why they ought not. In the mean time, Unit 1, I want all possible defenses taken. Stay hidden, make sure no one goes onto any funny business. Everybody stay frosty: AA on, all countermeasures taken. All hands on deck, guns hot, and charges ready to drop on a dime."
As he finished giving orders, they were enacted. A completely defensive stance was taken, to a point where one could call it almost air tight. The Tide, however, never left the range of accuracy, and remained at the ready. "In the mean time, will somebody bring me a brandy?" Yusep said as the last piece fell into place. He looked about casually, before his eyes fell on a nearby sailor. "You." He pointed, prompting the man to look up. "Brandy?" He said with a cocked eyebrow. With a salute, the sailor got up and departed. "Good man. Get a glass for yourself. Extra rations for you, sir."

The crew onboard the Man O' War's bridge hurried around at an incredibly fast pace, dodging in and out of each others paths. Saul watched the radio and sonar alongside the operators, ready to detect any changes that van Goss's actions may have provoked. Then, he saw them. The Banitian fleet had unleashed their payload of torpedoes directly at the Sleight of Hand and the Hagfish's positions. They had yet to leave the Man O' War's pens, but once they did, there was no doubt in Saul's mind that they would be obliterated. “We've got torpedoes heading straight for the subs!”

Van Goss chimed in from behind. “Initiate the Emergency Ejection protocol, now. Get those submersibles out of harm's way.”

Saul pulled himself away from the console, turning to meet van Goss. “Sir, we haven't tested Emergency Ejection yet! Who knows what could happen if we tried! It could work, but the force could also tear both subs apart!” van Goss stared at Saul with his dark blue eyes, unsure if the Captain was really prepared to refuse the orders of a Vice Admiral.

“Would you prefer the submarines were blown apart by the Banitian torpedoes, Captain? This is the perfect time to test the Man O' War's capabilities. I would rather we lost a hundred submersibles to testing new weaponry over letting a single one be destroyed by a foreign foe. Emergency Ejection Captain, now!”

Saul turned on his heel and looked back for one last tense peek at the radar screen before making his decision. “Prepare the Sleight of Hand and the Hagfish for Emergency Ejection!”

Down below, the two submarines were just being lowered from their pens into the water when the deployment procedures suddenly came to a halt. A continuous low-toned alarm sounded through both pens and the inside of the subs, alerting the crew to what was coming. The pens were cleared of all personnel and the occupants of the two smaller-than-average submarines strapped themselves into designated 'Safe Chairs.' All of a sudden, a combination of advanced propulsion systems catapulted the two submarines into the Northern Sea, just as the torpedoes began to streak through the water underneath the Aemen fleet.

Some torpedoes sped past the Man O' War whilst others collided with the doors of the submersible pens, exploding and shooting water into the pens themselves. The Sleight of Hand and the Hagfish, however, were out of the danger zone. For now.

The bridge of the Man O' War shook as the torpedoes detonated beneath the waves. Saul grabbed onto the back of a radio operator's chair to steady himself whilst van Goss held onto the railing below the bridge's windows. The Captain turned, running across the bridge to the ship's intercom, hoping to speak to the carrier's maintenance engineers. “Damage report!”

“The submarine pens are out of action sir. Enemy torpedoes have blown off sections of the doors, we're sending crews in now for assessment. All vital systems are still functioning and we're not taking on water, but the pens are no longer usable until we're able to reach a friendly port for repairs.”

“Understood. Seal off the pens when you're done.” Saul turned on his heel and headed straight to the other end of the bridge, back towards the group of radio operators. “Get me an update on the Sleight of Hand and the Hagfish.”

“Sleight of Hand and Hagfish, repeat, Sleight of Hand and Hagfish, what's your current operational status, over.” There was silence on the other end of the line, neither submarine was responding. “Sleight of Hand and Hagfish, this is the Man O' War bridge, what's your current operational status, over.” Again, there was nothing. After a few tense moments, the voice of the Hagfish's commander crackled through.

“Man O' War, this is Hagfish. Emergency Ejection was a success, repeat, Emergency Ejection was a success. Some crew members are slightly disorientated but we are operational and awaiting orders.” Saul breathed a sigh of relief. The Hagfish was unharmed, but what about the Sleight of Hand?

After another few tense moments, another voice, filled with more static than the last, came through to the bridge. “This is Sleight of Hand. Hull integrity is not compromised, but Emergency Ejection has caused our torpedo tubes and navigational systems to malfunction. We're working on the problems now but for the moment we're unable to engage enemy vessels and submersibles.”

Saul wiped the sweat from his brow whilst van Goss took over command, giving his orders to the other ships. “Marksman, break from the formation. Keep your distance and work your way around to the side of the Banitian fleet. Engage any vessels that come into range. Gaze, move forwards and fire missiles at the closet Banitian ship, draw their attention but hold your position. Stay within an eight knot area around the Man O' War. Hagfish, your orders are the same as the Marksman, make it the opposite end so we can enact a pincer movement around them. Sleight of Hand, once your systems are repaired, scout for and engage any potential Banitian submersibles. Scramble two torpedo bomber squadrons with fighter escort. Await orders once you're in the air.”

The Gaze moved into position and fired off a series of guided missiles towards the closet Banitian ship whilst the Hagfish and the Marksman began their encircling operation. On the carrier deck of the Man O' War, two squadrons of torpedo bombers and their escort were loading up their munitions, before the first Aemen aircraft began speeding off of the deck and into the sky, awaiting their designated target.

Back on the bridge, an operator passed van Goss the most recent telegram from Yusep. Saul rejoined his superior in front of the windows, watching the Vice Admiral read through the latest development in the Aemen and Sacheyenyani war of words. “Keep a weather eye on the Sacheyenyani fleet, Captain. It seems we share common beliefs regarding combat and surrender.”

It was getting dark outside as the sun set over the horizon its position being taken over by the crescent moon. Giving away very little light. The Reaper's Sow had now been shadowing the Imperial Royal Union fleet for sixteen hours and fired only fifteen hours ago. Now the time was perfect to strike again. Moving into position the Reaper's Sow fired once more upon the I.R.U fleet. This time there were eight torpedoes headed for the cruiser Broadsword. As soon as the torpedoes were launched the submarine dived deeper and deeper into the deep depths of the Northern Sea. Every possible evasion technique was being used to avoid being sunk. They only needed to listen for the explosions of their own torpedoes to know they had hit their mark. Sound traveled surprisingly well underwater.

The Recon Empire Orbital Satellites monitored every single angle at the Straits of the Northern Sea, while Cross-Refractal Amphibious Radars triangulated on the Straits which allowed the simulation of underwater features, of which analyzed every single vessel into 3-D models with surrounding terrains.

During this naval exercise, the Recon Empire has been testing out its new geographical simulation model, dubbed the "Synapses Terrestrial Surveillance and Simulation Software", the STS3. Gathering all the information from the combination of the satellites and the radars to create a fully detailed 3-D map.

Dr. Camilla van Luc-Ponty approached the Emperor in his Royal Box, reporting on this new technology. "Good evening, Your Imperial Majesty. The Synapses Software Project is underway, and is being tested now. You are the first in the Recon Empire and the world to use this software and view its simulations, how is it so far, sir?" the Chief Researcher of the project asked.

"I like it, although the color schematics can be improved." the Emperor replied.

"Thank you, sir. What about Dr. Metsger and General Lyneham?"

"Everything looks good, what's the surface radius?" asked Dr. Metsger.

"The surface radius is 20,000km maximum, the distance between anyone of the radars with the orbital epicentre, of which the readings can only be taken once a day, when the satellite orbits pass the epicentre."

General Lyneham could barely keep still. "This is so exciting", exclaimed General Lyneham, "all my 30 years of experience in the Reconian Navy, I've never seen such technology. This will be good for our navy. Excellent job, Dr. Luc-Ponty!"
