Well after a little bit of work i have OS X running on my HP laptop. i originally wanted to run it on my desktop and spent a day trying to get it to set up and all the while getting a panic error. turns out OS X didn't like the memory i was running. so i put in different memory from my backup system and it installed fine but wouldn't access the hard drive on start-up. pulled the laptop hard drive i had in my desktop (the one with OS X) and put it in my laptop and it stared right up. weird huh?

So, are you saying you just replaced a bunch of PC parts with Mac parts but kept the case the same? Heh.

I didn't realize there would be so many issues with hardware incompatibility!

I remember people were installing OSX on netbooks back when the systems were popular. It's actually kind of tempting, as I don't use mine much anymore and a machine running OSX could double as a development environment for iOS software.
