Skye smiled at his comment about the Guild. It did sound however that it might be an interesting venture being on their ship for a time. She let Bianca show her around the ship, the Companion taking a liking to the girl. Back in the converted fighter, she looked over the controls, activating the communications panel to bring up one of the merchants. With Bianca standing behind her as she viewed their catalogue, Skye chose a bed, drapery and various other objects that she would use to set the vessel up as her 'office'.

While it was being delivered, Skye headed back out and to the apartment that she had been staying at. She collected her bags, taking them back to the ship. As she pulled the wheeled trolley behind her, she noticed three Alliance men hounding a man wearing a brown coat. Normally she wouldn't interfere with anything the Alliance chose to do, though the glimpse she caught of the priests collar and hearing them refer to him as a Shepherd had her not impressed with their actions.

It wasn't far from the ship, Skye managing to catch Bianca's eye. The girl came over to give her a hand with her bags. "I'll just be a moment Bianca. There's something I need to do." As the girl took the trolley, Skye headed back towards the scene of the confrontation.

"There you are Shepherd. I've been looking all over for you." Skye stepped past one of the Alliance men, one hand now resting on the Priest's arm, her eyes suddenly going towards the soldiers as if just noticing something was going on between them all. "Oh dear. Please excuse me. I hope I wasn't interrupting anything?" the Companion smiled sweetly at them.

a drop of drool rolled down from Sev's mouth as he whatched the Companion smile sweetly at the guards. Sev's eyes glazed over as he stared at Skye.
"Oi, Sev, Seventy" Yelled Anthony, he started clicking his fingers in front of Sev's face to grab his attention. Then, Anthony smacked him across the head with his shopping bag.
"What was that for?" Exclaimed Sev, he quickly got back up, then looked around for Skye.
"You were day dreaming, come on, we need to get to the ship, I don't like to be planet side for to long" Said Anthony. If Skye was gonna go anywere, she would have to return to the ship sometime. Anthony sent Sev along his way back to the ship while Anthony went more gun, or contract, shopping.

The two soldiers behind the sergeant turned to stare at the breath-taking beauty of the woman that had intruded upon their questioning of the insolent priest. The sergeant slackened his grip on Cy's coat. "We're conducting an investigation into his affairs," the man replied to the woman query, "and you would be advised to continue about your business." The Alliance soldier turned his full attention to the woman. "Unless of course, you two are accomplices, then we may have to question you too." Cy did not like the greasy smile that appeared on one of the soldier's faces as they stared hungrily at the woman.

"Three Hundred and thirty-sixth.." Cy whispered softly so that only the sergeant and the woman heard him. The sergeant's face blanched white as he released Cy and stepped back suddenly.

"What did you say?' the man asked fearfully. His eye's darting back and forth between the shepherd and the woman.

"Three Hundred and thirty-six," Cy repeated, turning to the woman. "It is our topic of discussion today. Ezekiel 33:6. "If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not sound the alarm, then shall the watchman's life be forfeit and I shall hold him accountable for the blood of each life." The priest looked at the soldiers and said, "If there is nothing else..."

"No, continue on your way," the sergeant said quickly. One of the other soldiers started to protest but the sergeant growled a warning.

Cy took the woman's slender arm and began to walk away. "I suppose you have a ship here? Perhaps we can board it, if only for a minute, to make this charade more believable?"

Skye smiled up at the Shepherd, keeping up with the appearance as they walked along. "Yes there is a ship we can go into. I've just hired a vessel within this one here", her free hand indicated towards the Cavalier.

The two stepped into the Cavalier, passing beyond the shadows of the entrance of it. "I hope you didn't mind my intrusion back there. Some of the Alliance feel they could get away with whatever they like." She didn't like the fact they had been bullying a Priest.

"It was a foolish thing for you to do. They could have made life very difficult for you; and all because of a simple priest who could not keep his mouth shut," Cyriacus replied. He glanced around at the ship. It looked well-made and sturdy. The guards will not give up so easily. They will be looking for me. Perhaps I should charter passage away from this planet?

"But I am grateful for your help." He turned his attention to the woman. "I am Cyriacus Damasus, a priest of a little known order who finds himself a stranger in a strange land. Thank you for your help."

Skye gave a nod, she knew what risks she had taken interfering. If one of the Alliance men hadn't wronged her out of full payment she might not have bothered, though had gotten slight satisfaction from doing so. She would avoid their 'type' from here on in.

"Skylyn Niska. I am a Companion within the Guild. That doesn't offend you does it?"

She knew that most of the religious persuasion could quite easily take offense to her chosen profession.

"At one time it might have," Cy told Skylyn, "but I no longer believe that He cares about our choosen professions." The Shepherd looked into her green eyes as if searching for something in the bright orbs. "It is what in our hearts that matter. And your heart is such that you would have risked harm to help a stranger..even if that stranger was a priest." Cy smiled knowingly and added, "I suppose in some way you have been wronged by the Alliance and that injustice has made you seek out others who have been wronged." The priest's hand enclosed around hers, the fingers of his opposite hand tracing Skye's palms almost as if he were a fortune-teller, reading the lines there.

"He should have compensated you," Cy whispered. "Lister, he took advantage of you...of your kindness." The priests's eyes still searched Skylyn's. Then his hand released hers. "Did you know the Shepherd married a Companion?" Cy asked.

That he guessed that she had been wronged by the Alliance didn't surprise her, what he said next did though. Her eyes widened slightly as she worked on controlling her shock at how he knew about Lister. "How did you know about that? It wasn't common knowledge." Unless he has been spreading the word of it... I think I will black list him after all. No other Companion needs to deal with their attitude. With his next words it was her turn to search his face.

"No... I didn't know of that. Who were they?"

"I have never spoken to anyone about Lister," Cy answered in reply to her questions. "You have your own ways to deal with such wrongs. Act as your heart tells you, it is a guide that will never fail you." The priest smiled again. He found himself enjoying the company of the Companion more than he should have. The way she looked at him as she poised her questions made Cy feel better about himself. He no longer felt like a simple priest.

"The Shepherd, the Good Shepherd, the one they call Iesus or Jacob was married to a Companion named Mary Magdalene, they lived together and had children," Cyriacus told Skylyn as they stood facing each other in the ship's corridor. "It is said that the descendants of Iesus live among us to this day."

Skye listened to him, interested in his words. She found herself nodding, having recalled it from the bible after all. She hadn't thought much before having spoken before, still having been surprised that he had known about the client that had wronged her.

"How long have you been on Persephone for? Myself, I've been here for two months. I like to travel and see more of the 'verse."

"A year," Cy told Skylyn. "I was mainly working with the lower classes. They are brutally mistreated by the Alliance and upper class alike. As well as slavers and rebels, both looking to add bodies to their ranks." He sighed and looked up at the conduits stretching along the ship's ceiling. "I'm afraid I didn't help them much and probably caused more trouble than good."

The thought was in the back of his mind. I should go..these people have their own problems. But still he lingered. "May I ask you a question?" the priest asked, deciding to change the topic. The Companion nodded her head. "What...how did you become a Companion?" Cy queried, his tone full of curiosity.

Skye had always had a soft spot for some of the more mis-fortunate and had provided food to some on occasions. She heard the curiosity in his voice as he asked why she became a Companion.

"Many from my homeworld of Sihnon become Companions. It is an honorable profession. During my studies I met a Companion. We had a representative from the Guild speak at my College, and it was suggested to me that it would suit my temperament. I enjoyed my training and that I can make others happy through what I do."

She observed Cy's reaction, then asked in return, "How did you become a Shepherd?"

He had learned many years before not to judge people by their professions. Until you've travelled with them, you do not really know them. Until you've lived among them, felt their pain, shared their triumphs and humiliations then you do not know them. His first teacher, Shepherd Holloway had taught him that and Cy had remembered it as he had travelled from planet to planet seeking to understand better those he wanted to serve.

The priest listened to the Companion, gauging her reactions and features as she explained her life and choices. Cy found her willingness to make people happy to be paramount among her reasons for choosing the Companion lifestyle.

"I was raised by priests at my monastery on Hera. So you could say I was destined to become a shepherd. As a young man I deviated from the path because of my gift and the trouble it brought. But the Fathers were always kind and welcomed me home when I returned," Cy explained to the woman. "I should return there..would the captain of this vessel accept another passenger?" Either way I need to leave.

A drop of drool rolled down from Anthony's mouth as he started at the immobile object, the SMARC-4000, the best assualt rifle to date, lay just within arms reach. And Anthony had the money to purchase it, well, he wish he did. His eyes glazed over has he admired the weapon's design, then he felt a shopping bag bash against his face, knocking him down.
"Oi" Said Sev, Anthony quickly got back up.
"I thought I told you to go back to the ship" Yelled Anthony, Sev shook his head.
"I ain't gonna leave you, come on, its getting dark, and I bought enough canned food to last us until the next year" Said Sev. Picking up his feet, Anthony walked with Sev back to the ship
=Moments later=
As Anthony and Sev walked into the cargo hold of the Cavalier Sev becamse shell shocked as he spotted Skye talking to someone. Sev continued staring, then Bianca spat half of her drink out, rolling around the ground in laughter. Anthony just covered his mouth and giggled.
"its her isn't it" Said Anthony "Don't reply, Come on Bianca, we will leave Wonder boy to stare at Wonder Women". As Anthony finshed Bianca got off the ground still laughing as the two walked off.

Feeling eyes on her again, Skye turned her head towards where she heard voices. She would have to put Sev in his place quick smart, and set down some ground rules. Catching Bianca's gaze, Skye waved her over, having seen the Captain walking ahead of her, further into the ship.

Turning back towards Cy she spoke, "I'll ask Bianca, she will know. I only organized to travel with them only a couple of hours ago."

When Bianca approached, Skye asked, "Is there any room for another traveler?" She indicated towards Cy.
