He wants to leave but his demands could be as tumbling block, for example his £150k a week wages. And Liverpool are looking for around £30m....might be a tad hopeful.

Jimbo Pearce I think, said he wants to play regularly to try and get into the England WC team. Doubt we will get £30m, but it is better compared to the days we were giving players away and paying their wages etc.

Nobody will pay the wages he’s on now with his injury track record.

Palace took Benteke off us, so anything is possible. He might have to drop his wages demands a bit, but with the TV money, he should be able to get £90-100k or around that.

He should still make £4m+.

In my opinion Sturridge had all the potential to go right to the top. He was most likely Spain bound, with a load of medals ahead of him. He has all the quality. It's a shame injury has blighted his career, a shame for us, a shame for him.
Good luck to him if goes, though it would be bitter sweet to him recapture his old form, that being unlikely as he looks done.

Alas the good times are behind Sturridge..injury finally got the better of him. Asking for £30m might be a but hopeful and he'd need to drop his wage demands to have any chance of a move.

INTER UNLIKELY TO MAKE STURRIDGE MOVE

Inter Milan have reportedly been priced out of a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

Reports on Friday claim that the Reds want £30million to allow the England frontman to leave this month, with Sturridge said to be favouring an exit in the slim hope that he may still be able to make England’s World Cup squad this summer.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and has even found himself behind Dominic Solanke in the striking stakes this season.

Southampton, West Ham and Newcastle have all been linked with a move for the former Man City star, but there were strong rumours that he favoured a move to Serie A instead.

However, with Inter seemingly pulling out of the race it would appear that if Sturridge does make a move this month then in all likelihood he will stay in the Premier League.

Sturridge has scored a 100 plus goals for this club, you think of all the dross that has walked through the Shankly gates.... l wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.

l think he can still score goals, but he is an old fashioned English striker who needs chances on a plate as opposed to opening up a team all by himself eg Kane, Leo, CR7, Aguero, Griezeman, Sanchez etc if he doesn't have the service then he can't excel imo.

If possible I wouldn't mind seeing him have one last go upfront flanked by Mane and Salah and Firmino in the Coutinho role (his original position let us not forget) just behind. Unlikely though.

Alas, I believe his best days are behind him. He might get some goals for some other club, but not at the prolific rate that he once could, in my opinion.

Sturridge is well short of 100 LFC goals. So far he has 49 League and 15 in the various Cups, for a total of 64.
(He has scored 100 Prem goals, I think, but that figure includes those he has scored for other clubs.)

Sturridge is still a top player but not suited to Klopps system. He doesn't get played because he's not a fit. How any one can say he's lost it, is rather beyond me? What he's lost is playing time. There is no basis on which to say he's lost his scoring touch. He never plays.

I'd bet Sturridge is in the top 5 goals per games scorers for our club. Can anyone confirm?

His problem being the actual number of games in his time has been too limited. He's made of glass. If he found a modicum of durability, he's a striker to be reckoned with. Massive belief in himself, which is half the battle, but a body like a biscuit.

Rarely fit enough to perform.....doesn’t get the run of games

Ultimately he is unreliable. Need to sell him while we can get some money for him and bring in a proven goal scorer ASAP.

Euro Paper Talk: Inter make approach for Liverpool man; Man Utd want Real Madrid duo in De Gea swap

Date published: Wednesday 17th January 2018 4:14

Liverpool have been approached by Inter Milan to take one of their players on loan, while Manchester United want two Real Madrid stars as part of any deal for David De Gea, according to Wednesday’s European papers.

INTER APPROACH LIVERPOOL FOR STURRIDGE

Daniel Sturridge could find himself on the move to Serie A, according to reports from Italy.

The Corriere Dello Sport claims Inter Milan have made contact with Liverpool to see if the Reds will allow the frustrated striker to move to the San Siro on loan.

Liverpool would prefer a straight cash deal after Sturridge fell down Jurgen Klopp’s pecking order, but could be persuaded to let him move on loan if no suitors match their £25million asking price.

Sturridge has only featured eight times in the Premier League this season, mainly from the bench, with his last appearance in the competition coming against his former club Chelsea at the end of November.

Agent of Coutinho involved in possible Sturridge Liverpool exit

Daniel Sturridge: Looks likely to leave Liverpool this summer
The agent that played a pivotal role in the move that saw Philippe Coutinho join Barcelona from Liverpool, could help Daniel Sturridge join Inter Milan, according to reports.

Injuries have played havoc on Sturridge’s career, and the forward has only just recovered from the latest one he sustained in early-December.

Despite only making nine appearances so far this season, Italian giants are one of the club’s who have shown an interest in signing the England striker.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that Inter are only interested in a potential loan deal, and don’t value the Liverpool striker as a top priority in the January window.

Coutinho’s agent Joorabchian will have a key role in Sturridge’s next move, and even if the Inter move fails to come to fruition, a host of Premier League clubs including; Newcastle, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion, are also said to be interested.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge could find fitness and form with loan move, says Jamie Redknapp

Daniel Sturridge would be a great loan signing for Sevilla or Inter Milan - if they can keep him fit, says Jamie Redknapp.

The Liverpool striker has been linked with a move away from Anfield in the January window with the Spanish and Italian clubs reportedly interested in a temporary deal until the end of the season.

Sturridge has scored 48 goals in 98 Premier League games for Liverpool but has suffered from a variety of injuries during his time on Merseyside. Those problems have restricted him to just 55 league matches over the past four seasons.

"Whoever gets him, if you get a fit Daniel Sturridge, you've got one of the best strikers in Europe," said Sky Sports pundit Redknapp. "He's a brilliant player but it's just fitness with him. He's a talent and he's got so much ability.

"He'd be a great signing for Sevilla or Inter Milan if they can keep him fit. They will be like 'I knew he was good but I didn't know he was this good' if he can avoid injury."

Redknapp believes a change of league and country could have a positive impact on Sturridge and says that, should he find form and fitness, he would be a key member of Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad with England.

"It might suit him to go abroad," said Redknapp. "I've been that player, when you're injured and desperate, and you just want to play football. You'd do anything to get out there on the field. He might think a change of scenery will be good for him.

Sturridge will be in England World Cup squad if fit, says Redknapp

"Maybe he feels the rigours of the Premier League are too demanding on someone like him who gets a lot of injuries.

"It's a fascinating one. But if he's fit and firing he's a certainty for the England squad.

"But the problem is he's never fit and it makes it so difficult for a manager to trust him. In terms of ability he's up there with the best. His goal-scoring record is brilliant. But his ability to play consistently isn't."

Inter Milan remain confident they will be able to sign Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, according to Sky in Italy.

Sturridge has been widely linked with a January move to Serie A, while Spanish side Sevilla are also believed to be interested in the 28-year-old.

Inter are understood to want a loan deal to take Sturridge to Italy, with an option to buy, but they are not willing to pay the €40m Liverpool want to make the move permanent.

The England forward has not played since early December because of a thigh injury and his chequered record is part of the reason why Inter are looking to pay a smaller transfer fee.

Sturridge also has only 18 months left on the last contract he signed with the Premier League club in October 2014.

Transfer Talk: Hold up for Sanchez?

The Transfer Talk panel discuss what is holding up the swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

He joined Liverpool in January 2013 but has only once played more than 20 league games in a season, when he scored 21 goals in a brilliant 2013-14 campaign.

Inter are looking for another attacking option, with only Mauro Icardi (18) and Ivan Perisic (7) having scored more than three goals for them in Serie A this season.

Why we even talk to these Italian clubs I do not know . They only want to rip people off. Move on and tell them pay up or F*ck off.
