If you look at all the transfer rumours surrounding Italian clubs almost all of the headline ones share the same MO - "on loan with a view to buying". Which we all know means a quick cheap fix loan and then send him back. I would not deal with any Italian clubs in relation to any of our players going there unless its hard cash for a sale. If Inter are interested in Sturridge maybe they have somebody useful as a swap deal - Jao Mario??? is he with Inter ?? |

The Italians are really predictable, aren't they, Dick? Loan deals and out-of-contract players only. |

Lucrative loan bid lodged for wantaway Liverpool star Date published: Tuesday 23rd January 2018 1:21 Inter Milan have reportedly made a “significant” loan bid for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, who looks certain to quit Anfield this month. The 28-year-old has played only 14 games for Jurgen Klopp’s men this season and wants a move away for regular first-team football. Sturridge is keen on a switch to boost his flagging World Cup hopes, after falling way down the list of England striking options under Gareth Southgate. The former Chelsea frontman had been said to be favouring a move to La Liga side Sevilla, but it would appear that Inter and now favourites for his signature – despite fellow Serie A side Roma also entering the running for Sturridge. Want news and features on the Reds on your Facebook timeline? Like our dedicated Liverpool page. Liverpool would prefer a permanent exit for the forward, with a fee of £30m being touted around but BBC Sport claims that Inter have “offered a significant but undisclosed loan fee” and will pay Sturridge his £120,000-a-week wages in full. The report goes on to state that “discussions have also opened up towards a potential permanent transfer at the end of this season.” Liverpool “will now consider the offer,” although Sturridge’s future is not set in concrete at this stage and all options remain open – including him staying put. |

Time to move on, massive Sturridge fan in his heyday but we have gone in a different direction on the pitch. Lallana has to come in for Coutinho and the front three remain constant. Ings ahead of him now. Sad to write all of this, feels like the last piece of 2013-2014 is going. |

Can't see him getting £120,000 a week at Inter. He needs to take a wage cut if he wants to get his career back on track. He needs to make a decision and from our point of view l really don't want anyone on over £100,000 a week to be sat on the bench who isn't part of the manager's first team plans. |

Is it not better keeping Sturridge than loaning him out for pennies? |

To make use of Sturridge, and save him from injury, why not we just give him a pair of gloves and put him in nets. I can guarantee you he'd save the odd one an instant improvement on our other two statues. |

We have Solanke and Ings to fall back on if Firmino gets injured, that doesn't fill me with a lot of hope. Getting sick of Lallana's constant back and forth on the fitness front, id sooner have Bobby as the midfield runner and Sturridge upfront, honestly what have we got to lose?? |

Great news - Our most experienced striker , who would be good off the bench as the games hopefully pile up , if we progress in the CL , and who would be an asset in such European games , has been shunted out of the door. I would have preferred to see the 30m suggested come the other way , but not to worry we are getting 1.5m loan fee and saving about 2.5m in wages so its pretty obvious it had to be done. Kerching............ |

what a fruitful visit to anfield for wba..not only leaving with a place in the next round but also leaving with the best striker at lfc... funny how no interest in taking ings on loan. |

I feel it is a stupid move from Klopp if l am being honest. We have no player of proven quality to play upfront in a central role if something happens to Firmino. Also Firmino needs a rest, its unfair to have to rely on him for the rest of the season. The decision has left us in a vulnerable position l feel. Should kind of do it the old fashioned way imo; tell Sturridge he gets spell upfront for a bit. There is a lot more to suggest he will deliver than either Ings or Solanke. If Studge goes on to bang goals in for WB then l for one will not be happy. Edited by stevieg4ever, Jan 30 2018, 10:59 AM.
