Klopp insists #LFC are unlikely to make any further signings during the January transfer window.

(Ahem, he did say unlikely ok!?)

IMO i'd say HALF of it has been spent....£145m for Philis, HALF that on VVD @ £75m, leaves £70m.....
The Keita money came from last Summer's TV revenue money, but what is interesting is that APPARENTLY, J W Henry spent £70m on a new yacht, ahem, yes £70m....

I take that back, the £70m yacht was bought ONE YEAR AGO, soooo, there should be a spare £70m STILL floating around somewhere....

We receive only approx £106m upfront for Coutinho, the rest is performance-related, spread over a number of years...

Other than a World class keeper who magically became available , don’t see where Klopp needs to sign someone right now that would make a top 4 spot a guaranteed certainty.

Best to wait until Summer , with Keita arriving, Can maybe leaving so the manager can address where he really needs to strengthen the XI and add depth.

JB...forget it.

FSG won't spend the money to benefit the team. They treat Liverpool as a business and not
as "fans" of a great football club.
Only one thing interests them and that is the bottom line....the money. TV deals, sponsors, CL money etc.

Where has it all gone !

It's the never ending question many of us keep asking and we're still nowhere near an answer.

What it needs is some reporter to do an investigation as to where it's gone but I imagine this could be the case for most PL clubs and their fans....all that TV money - what's happened to it ?

Expect no new signings for LFC this month. Klopp happy to wait till the summer to secure targets; a big gamble for the rest of the season, but the club appear not willing to over-spend on any players

We should be accumulating a lot of money. Where is the money? We had excess funds last summer.

Jurgen Klopp tells Liverpool fans not to expect new signings this month

This Is Anfield

TIA News

26 January 2018

Jurgen Klopp says new signings at Liverpool this month are “not really likely”.

Liverpool have been linked with the likes of Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez following the £142 million sale of Philippe Coutinho in the opening week of the transfer window.

But despite losing a player who contributed 12 goals and nine assists in the opening half of the season, Klopp has chosen not to look to replace the Brazilian this month.

Asked about the potential of new signings before the transfer window closes next Wednesday, Klopp said: “I could kill all the rumours, but let’s not do that!

“It’s not really likely.”

The manager also said that there would be little outgoings in terms of loans, saying that Danny Ings will remain at the club.

“I don’t think a lot of things will happen in these coming days,” he said, while admitting that Ings playing regularly elsewhere may be good for the player, but “We cannot forget our needs.”

Ings and Daniel Sturridge are both in the squad that will face West Brom at Anfield in the FA Cup on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Klopp confirmed that Simon Mignolet will start against the Baggies, and Danny Ward will play for the Under-23s against Derby County on Sunday.

For whatever reason, Klopp is reluctant to spend the Coutinho money this month – it’s a bold and risky decision. Whatever happens in the remaining months of the season, there will always be a line of thinking what might have been had he actually signed a player to replace the Brazilian’s output.

So there you have it, NO MORE SIGNINGS folks!!

Then we are back to full-on diet of HOPE, in that we stood an excellent chance IMHO of taking the ECL, so denied one of the best players in the world, amid speculation about another we have, - we must HOPE Klopp is dat vunder verker we all HOPED he would be - Yar!
THE ABOVE CONTRIBUTION IS SIMPLY AN OPINION. I AM NOT LOOKING TO BITTERLY ARGUE OR FALL OUT BUT RATHER MATURELY DEBATE MATTERS SHOULD IT DIFFER FROM YOURS

Complete bullshit and lack of real ambition to win the league ever by FSG.

They love Klopp because he says the right things, is very efficient with the NET spending and is building a solid team that might squeeze into CL positions every year which means more money for them.

We are now trying to be , Arsenal from 05 to 15 just without a few FA cups wins along the way.

You sell your biggest asset in January , that even the stones knew it was going to happen for 142 mil and you are trying to tell us that its not necessary to spend the money NOW ?
