Big team? My daughter just commented how Klopp was taller than all the player substitutions we made today. We have a big manager. United have a midget. Midget club.

Was thinking more in terms of how fans abroad regard us in comparison with other English clubs. I reckon we are still ' bigger' than, say, Man City, Spurs, Arsenal, even Chelsea in their eyes, if only because of our haul of European trophies and participation in those competitions over many years...

It's a nice thought, but it might depend somewhat on the age of the particular European.

Maybe those over about 25 then...that'll be an awful lot of fans. Much below 25 they'd not recall perhaps Istanbul 2005 and 2007 loss to Milan. Those might remember our final v Sevilla though. Anyway, they'd need to be considerably older to remember any European successes by City,Arsenal and Spurs...

I might be whimsical in suggesting few have heard of city and might be forgiven for confusing them with united if it were not for the availability of internet, tv and such.

Big clubs attract big gates around the world. No one goes to see city or Chelsea, as they do our club. I might even argue we draw more than any team on the small amount of evidence available.
