It will be a physical game, and Spurs will do their best to bump our players off the ball without incurring too many free kicks. I think we need Gomez, Can, and Henderson to play because they can stay on their feet more easily in the collisions. I also would prefer Virgil to play, for his height, strength, speed, and passing. I'm not sure about Matip against physical teams, because he can be manhandled. It's a quandary between him and Lovren, to tell you the truth. The Croatian can be riled, and give away cheap free kicks. He has a hard time staying focused under pressure. Similarly, Moreno can be riled, so I hope Klopp picks Robertson. There could be a real battle on the flanks, with Robertson lined up against Trippier, and Gomez against Son. |

Trent instead of Gomez. Klopp being consistent in his RB rotation. I hope Lovren keeps his head. This is a physically robust team, which I think is what is needed today. |

This wasn't so much a football match as one man's determination to get Harry Kane his 100th goal. Unfortunately that man was patrolling the touch-line with an influential flag. "OK, Harry, we'll say you weren't offside on that first penalty because it was a pass-back by Lovren and you picked it up. And Karius must have got at least one fingernail on your boot, you landed so hard. Oh, no! You missed the penalty. Not to worry, Harry, we'll get you another chance before the end. Now, there's that overpriced Dutchman taking a swing with his boot. Sure he pulled out of it, but Lamela did such a great job, making mine easier when he threw himself against Virgil's upper thigh, then hitting the ground. Nice penalty, Harry. Congratulations on your 100th." |

Harry Kane to Sky Sports camera: You can't give me two tries | Football News www.skysports.com Harry Kane had a cheeky message for the Sky Sports cameras after scoring a late penalty to give Tottenham a point at Liverpool. As he left the pitch at the end of an epic 2-2 draw at Anfield, the Tottenham striker was celebrating his injury-time equaliser from the penalty spot, which came only a few minutes after he had seen his first penalty saved by Loris Karius. And he turned to our cameraman and said: "You can't give me two tries." Liverpool were leading 1-0 with 12 minutes left after Mohamed Salah's opener but Victor Wanyama thumped Spurs level before Kane won a penalty. Although Kane saw his effort saved, he did not make the same mistake in injury-time, firing home his 100th Premier League goal to secure a draw. Asked by Sky Sports Jamie Redknapp whether he has his sights on Alan Shearer's Premier League record of 260, Kane said: "Let's hope so, but it's so far away, he scored so many goals. It's great to be in the 100 club and it was nice to get something out of the game after the rollercoaster of emotions. "Going 1-0 down at Anfield it almost feels you are under the cosh no matter how you are playing. When the gaffer spoke to us at half-time he said we are playing alright, we are keeping possession, but we need to create more chances, just keep doing in in the second half and the spaces will come. "We fully deserved to get to 1-1 and probably deserved to win it but in the end we will take the draw." Edited by John_Boy, Feb 4 2018, 08:24 PM.

Jurgen Klopp says assistant referee was centre of attention in Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham | Football News www.skysports.com Jurgen Klopp claimed the assistant referee got his wish to be the centre of attention after awarding a late penalty in the 2-2 draw between Tottenham and Liverpool. Harry Kane had already missed a penalty before scoring the second during a 2-2 draw in which referee Jon Moss and his assistant were in the thick of the action. With five minutes remaining, Dejan Lovren's swing and a miss put Kane, who appeared debatably offside, clean through and Moss ruled he had been brought down by Karius. After a long discussion with his assistant, Moss stood by his decision but Loris Karius redeemed himself by saving the spot-kick Kane hit straight down the middle. Into added time Salah then managed to weave himself past three defenders to lash a shot into the roof of the net to put Liverpool 2-1 up but, when Virgil van Dijk caught Erik Lamela with an attempted clearance, the assistant referee flagged to award the penalty and Kane did not miss second time around. Klopp was not amused by the officials. "The result was massively influenced by the linesman's decisions," he said. "I am not allowed to go in their room until half an hour after the game, do you think the first thing he comes to me and tells me he made a mistake with the first penalty because it was clearly offside? Unbelievable. "I don't know what they were discussing. And the second penalty, Virgil van Dijk touched him, but we know Lamela wants the touch and jumps into him. They would explain it with the touch and say it's a penalty but we all know. So'ton vs Liverpool February 11, 2018, 4:15pm Live on "In the first half, we didn't get any free-kick in these situations. That was the level for the game, which is ok, but then to get that in the last minute, wow. You need to be sure or leave it. "But he wanted to be the middle of interest and now he is." Also anything less than a win will probably induce the Klopp sniper brigade to come out in force, a win will also constitute another massive confidence booster. So that said, VVD back to tame the Kane man and help going some way to prove his £75 mill tag is valid? Mane to score (x2).
