 according to dalglish the way he looks at it is thay got 50m for torres so carrol was only 15m   hes forgetting that that 50m player was an asset of the club..ie.money in hand. he didnt have to rush in for carrol.to say he cost 15m is bollox and completely untrue. if you have a house worth 1m then sell it and buy one for 1.5m you dont say it cost you 500k just because you sold a house.it is an asset. things are about to get very uncomfortable for kenny after the next 6 games imo. |

Just RM spraying more verbal diarrhoea arround as usual when it comes to Kenny. As i remember it Carroll was in the deal plus 15 mill for our former No9. So if the Andy Carroll cost 25mill Chelski would have got the JUDAS for the sum of 40mill or do you need the maths involved explained?

What Kenny says is not correct, the bottom line is we spent 35 mill. You can guarantee that our auditors will have this sum as an outgoing, surely this is pretty obvious to everyone. Kenny concerns me every time I see him being interviewed, he never looks comfortable, his body language seems wrong and coming out with silly statements like this do neither him or the club any good |

Carrol cost what we paid Newcastle and this is 35 fu///g mil. Money well wasted so far. If Kenny really said that , he is just trying to justify his poor dealings on the transfer market. Hope he does better in jan. |

not my maths at all bay.kenny is quoted in the sunday mirror as saying they are 15m up on the deal as they got 15m left from 50m so carrol is not a bad deal at all.they are talking of sending carrol on a boot camp style training regime . the hsit is starting to hit the fan now.just how bad his signings are is beginning to hit home.its his own fault. perhaps what he realy means is carrol should not of cost more than 15m  as hes not even worth that and should he be sold for 10m if there was a taker then 40m is not a loss because henry didnt have the torres money in his pocket long enough to feel like it was there and he could always get 5m for henderson too.55m for them two  thats a 40m loss on them two alone imo. absurd  |

are we to pretend the article in ALL of todays papers is not there...it gets worse..in some hes quoted as saying " the carrol deal cost us minus 15m,so its not a bad deal at all". its very sad to see kenny slipping as he is.very sad indeed. as for respecting fergie...he is undoubtably worth respecting.im a football fan as well as an lfc fan and i am able to see things without tinted glasses, unlike some. |

so do i and thats why when kenny is coming out with stuff like that is perplexing and although its clear hes trying to protect carrol it is only serving to highlight the mistake he made buying him. its unlikely there will be such big pot of funds again and that is where the real issue for me is.ie.he wasted the oportunity presented. |

Kenny is clearly trying to take pressure off Carroll. If he can get people talking about something other than the fee then a little pressure is taken off. Why is it when Kenny is trying to do this for the good of the team, we have some putting the spotlight back on Carroll and questioning the signing even more. Doesn't make sense to me. Carroll cost £35 million. We all know that. No need to bad mouth the king. |

i strongly disagree with him soccty.im not bad mouthing him. bad mouthing is stating things that are not true imo. im saying what he has said himself and strongly disagreeing with him. tbh i do find his comments are a trifle insulting towards the fans inteligence.think about it.are we all so daft and gullable to believe carrol cost minus 15m because of torres sale.... were has the missing asset sale of torres gone then. what hes saying is he replaced torres for 35m and had 15m change.now if that was some one good hed replaced him with id be the first to say so.unfortunatly no one can just pretend that oh well hes not good enough so lets forget about the millions he cost.a real chance has been wasted. |

The posts from platform 9 and Soccty miss the point, It is NOT a personal attack on Kenny but a statement of truth. When the days of not stating the truth are considered the way forward then that is the day that truth is worthless. There is a saying that the truth hurts which is clearly the case here |

"miss the point," dont think so lad, if a fan keeps looking for sticks to beat him with,it needs addressing. this is my point. if you think that us getting well over the odds 50 mill for torres {27). had no bearing on us splashing out 35 on carroll, well thats the issue. this is what our manager is trying to explain to some. now can we get behind our club. |

Andy Carroll cost £35m end of story, I dont know what KK is talking about. The kind of rhetoric Kenny is coming out with is reminiscent of Benitez its concerning. |

concerning to you, and worrying that some of our fan base don't get the " rhetoric" from these two great men. your support and loyalty is so shallow and sort, your ethos and opinions are based on a run of just few games. i find it breathtaking to be honest, like the lads on here saying they couldn't understand why wenger was still in a job after a run of few bad results, because hes a great manager that's why. get a grip. |

wenger proved hes a great manager over the years. kenny was once at lfc ..for a time..and at blackburn for 2 years.at newcastle and celtic he was a disaster.lfc may have got the latter this time around. i keep telling you platform..my opinion is not based on a few games.it was clear before they were signed they would not be good enough. |

You're taking him far too literally dub. Chill. His main aim is to take the pressure off Carroll, something you ate not prepared to accept. |

You are missing the point - Kenny is putting the cost of Carroll into perspective wiry the money received. All designed to ease the pressure. I have no idea how anyone can misinterpret this. |
