Kenny Dalglish has warned his squad they must be prepared to accept their share of bench duty — and anyone threatening the Anfield harmony will be shown the door.
The Liverpool manager proved once again last week that price tags or reputations will not influence his selection policy when he named £35million Andy Carroll, £20m Stewart Downing and £16m Jordan Henderson among his substitutes at Chelsea.
‘It is not pleasant and it is understandable there’s disappointment if you are not playing every game,’ said Dalglish. ‘It is a long season and everyone is going to be given their chance. But if they are not committed to playing, we will go and get people who are determined to play.’
Dalglish also passed up the chance to hand Jamie Carragher an instant recall at Stamford Bridge after his recovery from a calf problem and it is likely Liverpool’s vice-captain will have to play second fiddle again to Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger for Sunday’s visit of Manchester City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- wonder why suarez doesnt get dropped (WHOOPS) rested ???? could it be that kenny only trusts one of our strikers ???????????

It's rumoured Carroll's mum's knitting him a black and white bob hat to keep him warm when he's sat on the bench

Yeah but not because he wasnt anygood
So you're now saying others are benched by Kenny "because they're not any good"?
I'm sure he'd disagree, as I do.
Every thread has a negative connotation with you and Baza, doesn't it?

You're almost constantly negative. You praised Downing, but then slag him off again. You say we'll win these games, but then say we'll lose and draw to the lesser teams. Doom and gloom, doom and gloom.

Its looking like kenny has found a team that he knows will perform.no slackers in the team.if that means 3 expensive buys sit on the bench,so be it.if the team is better without them then thats were they need to be.maxi has waited 11 games to get his chance after doing so well last season and imo hes taken it superbly.it will be disapointing if maxi is not in ahead of downing and bellamy not in too would be disapointing.

no, i dont either. the vibes are that kenny has got the measure of the situation and knows persisting with them will be too detrimental to the teams chances. something must be going on behind the scenes with carrol...perhaps kenny sees something in training that isnt right either besides his lack of impact on the pitch. think it was danny that said hes a ponytailed bruiser  ...you could well see him in that description tbh  ...

Brazil ranked 6th? And you take this as evidence that they are shite? What hope for the other 203 countries in the world rankings? You obviously just think everyone is shite!
And your question: how many of those players are there countrys best players thats the question you should be asking
If none of our players are their country's best, is this what you see as evidence that we are mediocre? For the record Agger, Adam, Bellamy and Suarez are all their country's best players. Your argument is not even as strong as being paper thin.

no, i dont either. the vibes are that kenny has got the measure of the situation and knows persisting with them will be too detrimental to the teams chances. something must be going on behind the scenes with carrol...perhaps kenny sees something in training that isnt right either besides his lack of impact on the pitch. think it was danny that said hes a ponytailed bruiser  ...you could well see him in that description tbh  ...
really wouldnt surprize me if he was up for sale in jan the problem will be who is thick enough to buy him ?????????? might be good if rafa gets a job soon
I dont think he ll find a place in his old team either , they are doing OK without him right now.
