reina 5 had a few mad moments thought we had brucie back for a min enrique 7 good game agger 8 great game skrtel 7 good johnson 6 didnt get forward to much today but did well henderson 5 tried hard but lacks quality adam 8 great game again lucas 9 he thrives in these games but today his passing forward was something i have never seen from him and fully deserved his man of the match. downing 4 and it would of been a two had he not improved a bit in the late stages and his shot summed him up in a red shirt . kuyt 6 simply for his work rate but his passing today wasnt good suarez 7 played ok kenny 5 very poor bringing donwning back after maxi played so well ,the players deserve to keep there place when they do well and it creates a good message to the players. |

The Team did very well overall and deserved all 3 points. We did enough to get the win today but for the great saves by the goalie.....where have we heard all that before? |

thought reina was a 7 at least hendo and downing need a kick in the hole carroll needs to get more than 8mins kuyt annoyed me at times kenny needs to stop falling into the roy/rafa/houll trap of subbing after 70mins very happy with the overall result and performance but thought we coulda been more adventurous with substitutions |

do you change a winning side ??????????? not in my opinion you keep players in the shirt who deserve to keep it and downing doesnt deserve his place at the moment his shooting today was laughable and his crosses ???? i cant think of one ,maxi played great against chelsea and deserved to keep his place end of .

baza i thought kk and the whole coaching staff have been outstanding this week.apart from the first 20 mins we dominated .so ill give kk and his staff 8/10 our problems are scoring goals kuyt , downing and henderson worry me because they will never score enough goals for chances given . kuyt i would replace in jan . weve just dominated and should have won 3 or 4 - 1 agaisnt a team that has hammered utd and others this season . over all team performance 8/10 well done lads |

Awesome performance, probably our best this season. When the keeper wins man of the match for the opposition you know you've played well. I thought Andy had won it but it wasn't to be. I thought everyone played well to be honest. Some heart-in-your-mouth moments especially with Adams' backpass in the second half. Hopefully after this sides will be more inclined to have a go at Manchester City. Onto the Carling Cup quarters now. |

José Reina Paez 7.0 Sharp on his toes to smother as Aguero pounced on a loose backpass and again denied the Argentine on the stroke of half-time. Glen Johnson 7,0 Another impressive display after his match-winning goal at Chelsea seven days earlier. Dealt with everything thrown at him defensively and bombed forward as the Reds applied pressure in the second-half. José Enrique 6.0 Comfortable in possession and positionally sound throughout the game. Made one glaring mistake but Reina saved his blushes after a badly underhit backpass. Daniel Agger 8.0 A commanding display from the Danish centre-back as time and again he made the right decision. Excellent anticipation of the play to marshal Aguero and timed his challenges impeccably. Martin Skrtel 7.5 Dovetailed nicely with Agger to ward off City attacks, including a late clearance off the line to deny Silva. Superb in the air and could have scored had he got more contact on his shot from close range in the second-half. Jordan Henderson 5.0 A timid, almost anonymous performance as the summer signing struggled to make any impact on the game. Stewart Downing 6.0 The winger returned to the starting line-up and provided balance on the left side for the hosts. Didn't have the pace to take on Richards but linked up well with Enrique and put in some dangerous deliveries. Lucas 8.0 A hugely impressive performance from the Brazilian as he made a number of crucial interceptions and tackles, while keeping his passing economical. Played an absolutely crucial role in denying the likes of Silva and Nasri space in between the hosts' defence and midfield. Charlie Adam 7.0 The Scot was rewarded for his confidence in shooting from range in the 33rd minute as Lescott deflected his off-target shot into his own net. Looked capable of causing Liverpool problems when he found space but struggled when put under instant pressure by the City midfielders. Luis Suárez 7.5 The best striker on the pitch as caused City countless problems with his movement and link-up play. Created opportunities for team-mates with his skill and vision but blasted his only clear chance well off target. Dirk Kuyt 5.5 The Dutchman worked hard but didn't have his best day. Lost Kompany for City's opener and lacked the necessary guile and composure in the second-half. Replaced by Carroll six minute from time. www.goal.com ratiings |

You seem to get more and more crass each time you post. There was a good reason why Kenny changed the team today and played Downing instead of Bellamy. What did you think that minutes silence was for at the start, you moron? Bellamy wasn't in a fit state to day, which is understandable the day on which the the manager of the Welsh team, of which Bellamy is captain, was found dead by his own hand. Crawl back into your hole, please. |

why not maxi instead then camelot.maxi had just had a very good game last week and scored too. imo he played downing ahead of maxi yet you are saying it was bellamy. kuyt was the striker so it was kuyt that was in for bellamy in the strikers role. |

Truth be told who here would,nt of taken a point knowing the way City have been playing.Having said that it was another battering from us and as per usual the oppisite keeper was OUTSTANDING. We were very unlucky imo not to get all three points. I think Maxi was saved for the Chelski game ,should have played him and saved Downing i feel.Other than that i think we did well. Lucas was great again, my M.O.M. |

i think young Jay will get his game at Chelski or at least he should. Those fuks in London will hopefully field a weakened team but i reckon Fernando Traitor will get a run.Maybe Carra can step on an ankle, nothing to serious just a few weeks out so the fucker feels some of the hurt he caused. |
