A lot of good performances tonight. Henderson and Bellamy looked sharp ad quick. Another goor performance by Lucas a Maxi. Back four never really put under true pressure for long periods. Totally deserved win.

If you were all watching the same match I was watching then the only player close to MOTM tonight for me was Bellamy. Ran his knsckers off. Made two goals. Shit all over CHelsea he did. He, above any other deserves more starts.

It is good when we're arguing about who was our best player - so many were fantastic tonight.

Best game I've seen us put out for a while. Win that like will lift the club more than Sunday's match. Good thing is that we now have players genuinely vying for spots on the team. Bit of hunger.

it shows how the common denominator is that everyone wants the team to do well ...just different views and opinions as to how that is attainable.
some of us have been crying out for weeks for kenny to get tough on underperformers and will point to that as the upturn in performances...others will still say its the result of faith etc
in the glory days there was no difference of opinions..was unheard of as everyone was too busy feasting on the success of the team to argue about wether a 3nil win should of been a five nil win...and these forums didnt exist either :)

That's not true! In the glory days we all had our own opinions & argued them passionately in pubs & clubs accross our great city. It's just that we only argued them within your circle of friends. Now we have the internet you can talk shite to anyone from Tuebrook to Tinbuktu

Surrounded by euphoria, after a wonderfull display, you still have to find a fly in the ointment, Baz. Come to think of it, it's easy to spot a fly in the ointment when you are one yourself.

Ahh Tuebrook. Used to love that club/pub in Tuebrook right behind the picture house (was it the Carlton picture house). They used to have kids satdee matinee on for 5P. Going back afew years.

Now as for the pub. Think it was ther Coconut Grove (the Cokey). Perhaps it was a club. Bit of a fancy name for a pub, no? Mebbe it was next door the picture house. Memories all a blur.

Never been to Timbuktu. Does the 68 go there?

Ah the Cokey...Copped off there a few times. Not with anything you would take home to your Mar though...

Memory is returning a bit. Cokey was on the front (Green Lane), but there was also a pub around the side too (west derby rd). It was alright too if I recall. Forgot it's name now.

In my schoolboy teens, I took ballroom dancing lessons in Tuebrook. A little place upstairs, as I recall. I think it was the best thing about Tuebrook, at least in my memory. I was nervous as hell with my right hand on this girl's hip, trying hard not to let it slip and get my face slapped. She knew she had me where she wanted me, too, the sadist. Every time I caught here eye she smirked. Does the 68 bus still go through there to Old Swan? I used to take it for night school at the Tech.
