As for the bitterness of derby games now, for anyone not knowing, both sets of lads are called the urchins.

Why and how. Well way back in the yank bar days a certain blue friend or friends of mine started calling the younger ones urchins both lfc and efc.

For anyone who knows, the old efc lads ran as the committee where we all shared the same boozer.

Today the lfc urchins are a strong crew and so are the blues, however the blues mostly bitter not seeing this through red glasses either, are the main ones to have a kick off at derby games.

What I dislike about everton is the fact the sold out to the mancs, and have built a affinity if you like with them.

This churns my stomach and I sat with a top lad from the old committees month a cousin of mine and told them so how i feel as a red.

Eve ton don't mean a thing to me,there nothing, they take liberties on daft day trippers in town on derby day and call it a result, while the real red urchins have had enough and are hitting back.

Everytime the old committee rang me from chelsea or other places and told the bizzies had it boxed of it would be a millionaire now if they gave me pound.

Then again what do I know about lfc

 ;)

I'm not from the city, so my own views can't be important on the matter, but if Everton were a little bit wealthier, and could pay their share then I wouldn't be totally against the idea.

It works for Milan so why not us?
Though I'd be a little concerned that we'd end up footing the bill for such a venture.

Every true LFC fans views are very important Misty, don't play your love, commitment & honour to your/my team down.

On another note, many moons ago I used to be an avid reader of FourFourTwo type football mags & read up on a lot of footy chat/knowledge - from all sources - and from what I remember reading the two Milan clubs don't like sharing the stadium. It got so bad that the both couldn't even be arsed tidying it up and left it fall into a bit of a state. The San Siro tricks you into thinking it looks good. Get up close and it's a horrible dustbowl of a stadium.

I'm sure I read once that it actually falls below standards to hold the big final/tournament type games. I'm not 100% certain mind you.

DWOG - it wouldn't make sense to share a stadium in my view, it would seem paranormal going to a ground that our rivals also call their spiritual home.

Anyway, it's time I manifested on another thread.

;)

However much the Milan clubs may dislike sharing a stadium, one of the outcomes is that they have also been sharing the succession of Serie A scudettos which have arrived with great regularity in that stadium. Only Juve has interspersed the succession, and they are a special case. Other former powerhouses, Roma for example, while having their own independent stadium, have all but disappeared as legititimate challengers. Fiorentina, Lazio, etc. are nowwhere, and there is no prospect of a recovery in the forseeable future that I am aware of.

Great reason for a shared stadium.

I guess there's no hope for teams who have their own stadium winning a title.

I'll hazard a guess that teams with their own stadiums who have won titles throughout the world outnumber those who have shared stadiums by 30 to 1.

It could be more, it could be less.

Still, it's another reason - however daft & irrelevant I think it is - to list in the 'Pros for a shared stadium' column.
Jurgen Klopp: 'It's only this game because of the fans, that's what I know, think and feel. We have to entertain them, we have to make their life better.
Football is not so important, we don't save lives. We're not doctors. It's our job that they can forget their problems for 90 minutes and then they can talk about the game.'

There are 6 occupied house in Lothair Road I m told. It is also interesting that LFC do not appear to be approaching or engaging the owners /occupiers of these properties in any meaningful discussions. They seem to be leaving it to the Council.

The Anny road has a couple of occupied premises right next door to the Shankly Gates on the ground side. On the opposite side all the previously Grade 2 listed buildings have now gone (fallen into disrepair ) so that side of the road is well cleared.

As RS says to anyone looking in , it seems that there was only ever one serious option being considered, unless Billionaires blew in and uprooted everything lock stock and Albert.

Lfc own all those derelict houses around the ground so the question is realy why have lfc as a club(not just under fsg regime) not saw fit to demolish them to tidy the area up and reduce the crime rate in the area by way of not having empty ghetos for drug addicts and the like to fester in.Surely it cannot cost too much to have them demolished and as ive said before ,the materials ...slates,bricks,lead etc from those houses is worth millions most likely so it is a revenue stream that can be worth considering too.The residents of the city never mind just around the ground ,deserve better as it is a blight on the city and the council should now serve notice that they will be demolished and the bill sent to lfc if they do not imediatly set about doing so themselves. It is disgraceful.
