All the england fans wanted Arry, all the england players wanted Arry, so what do the FA do, they went for Hodgson, thats dynamite in itself. I wouldnt be surprised if we dont make the world cup with Hodgson incharge. Still cant believe Levy got rid of Arry, he has made spurs play the best football the best part of 50 - 100 years and they get rid, priceless

I have to say they were rather unlucky despite being outplayed..my god it was so like watching lfc under hodgson and under dalglish last season...inviting wave after wave of attacks, waiting and hoping to regain possesion and get lucky only to give it away again and again.
As soon as hapless henderson apeared the game was up...how bad a player is he??
starting rooney overcarrol was a mistake imo.
Unlucky on pens but where were the likes of johnson and terry to step forwards.

Italy deserved it and their midfield was great to watch at times...just what is needed at lfc.
Overall a decent tournament from england imo...now we have to put up with the talk of if only about the penalties again for years though!!

What the hell did Hendo do wrong? No worse than Stevie or Parker (who were both abysmal). England were as bad against Italy as the Irish. The number one pass last night was from Hart to Carroll (a 60 th minute sub).Says it all really

Nope, don't buy it. He had a poor season but there is more to it than that. Played out of position in a system that didn't suit him. I'm confident that he will turn into a good player for us. Bags of energy and a good technical player. Also seems to be a good lad. Have faith in him.

The English don't have a 'system'. Unfortunately neither did Kenny. He played a 442 with no real positioning. Hendo will grow into the team. I'm confident of it.

Any opportunity to have a go, eh RM? Spotlight on the player who played only 25 minutes in extra time, rather than the diddies that fucked it up throughout the 120 minutes. Then again he's a young Liverpool player so I'm not surprised.

Hendo wont get a game if BR brings 2 new MF.

Spot on Baz... BR is fucked( we as well) if he doesnt get funds to replace him. Just compare him to Tevez, Gomez, RVP, Cavani,Falcao, Adebayor,Lewandovski,Jalevic,Ba, Cisse, Aguer and many more...An elephant in a china shop.

Have you watched Gomez play? Looks ungainly but is a good goalscorer. Carroll was better than Rooney last night. Playing in that shite England side is near impossible. No support from the wide men. No balls into the box. What do you expect Carroll to do. Take on players with pace?

WHO!? He's a powerful lad but not that quick. Having said that, he seemed a more eager runner towards the end of the season (looked a lot fitter). Carroll will win the majority of the ball in the air against any centre back (even did it last night when subjected to desperate service). He needs crosses into the box or alternatively to have players playing off him to be effective (neither of which happened last night). If we play him correctly next season, I'm confident that he could outscore Suarez.

Hes completely out of place at LFC. Best suited to the likes of Bolton or Stoke. Pass and move with him in team is a bloody joke. Sell, sell, sell...sooooooon.

Did you ever think that we need a guy in the team with a bit of physical presence? Imagine Carroll playing up top with Suarez and a similar busy player buzzing off him and Gerrard feeding off the scraps centrally. Could be fantastic

Have we really?

Barca have 4 or 5 of the top players in world football. Liverpool do not
