Die-hard Reds
just like to see the differace between the deluded and the realists lists on who should be sold and who should only be squad players at best here are my lists

to be sold

downing carroll spearing adam cole wilson pacheco coady sheverley gulacsi jones

squad players

henderson lucas bellamy maxi

that leaves us with about 11 players and the 4 squad players and then whoever buck buys (hopfully two strikers and two wingers) at least

Nobody at this time.
Everyone should be given a chance by the new manager but many may be gone in January.

Agree with Kev - nobody to be sold at this point. Wait and see what BR makes of them, and then take it from there. I can see Charlie Adam being surplus to requirements personally, but we'll see. Everyone else is more than talented enough to play Rodgers' way.

Soctty- I agree about Adam but I also think the same applies to Joe Cole- I dont think he has anything to offer to Liverpool.

depends on how much we can get for the players.

i would get rid of CHAD, skrtel and johnson if we could get £115mil combined.

Ridiculous post JB. What is with the arbitrary 115 million fee?!

I'd sell Johnson if there was s decent option available. Have never rated him defensively or going forward for that matter. Other than that, maybe Adam depending on what fitness level he returns at. Would maybe get maxi off the payroll to free up some cash. Two or three quality additions would be what I'd be after.

We should bite the bullet, cut our losses and start afresh. We lost enough time. New broom is needed. If we keep playing CHAD we ll finish around 8th again , BR or not...

reina...very stale now and perhaps time to cash in. could happen.

lucas... same aplies tohim.

downing...just get rid.

adam...a mistake that was never good enough.

henderson...was a totaly pointless signing.

spearing...had his chance and failed badly.wont improve any further.

carrol, kelly and enrique if he continues to decline are under the microscope to sell. others like fringe players robinson will never be good enough so they too can perhaps move on too.

Downing. hasn't been able to make the transition to a bigger club. Hope he can prove me wrong though, and have a blistering second season under BR.

Adam I would put into the same bracket. He never quite replicated what he achieved at Blackpool. Where's the dead-ball magician that we were supposedly getting?

find it funny some posters' on here getting shot of dwning & adam after 1season when they seen lucas under-perform for 2straight seasons'

I think it is now more a case of who we can keep hold of than who we should sell Bazza.
Liverpool are no longer a top side either in English or European football and have very few expectations of competing at the highest level over the next few years.
I would say that Tottenham and even Newcastle are more attractive clubs for young and ambitious players who want to win things and want to improve their careers.
Players will now view Liverpool in the same light as Aston Villa or Swansea City as clubs struggling to make headway.
It will take Liverpool many years to claw their way out of the mire they have found themselves in at this point in time, I am thinking maybe six or seven years, should all go well with the running of the club.
This is why I think it would be better to keep hold of what we can for now and simply hope that at some point in the future the club will start heading back in the right direction. This could mean many players, managers and even owners coming and going until the gods smile down on us once more.

:o not use to that amount of realisim on here kev and i agree we are not an attractive club for players anymore and will struggle to buy average players never mind top class players i am just shocked that anyone else on here agrees with me lad (wait for the deluded to single you out now kev ) :P
