The big question on our transfer activity this season is can we attract top players to lfc (or can Brendan ) well seeing as Brendan is lfc boss its virtually the same question for the time being anyway (or till fsg get bored of another boss) i was reading a link with the swansea lad Sinclair and many reds commenting on how he isnt good enough for lfc and i thought who do these fans want instead ?? robben ,di maria ? these players wont touch lfc in our current position and a lot of lfc fans need a reality check (including myself) on who we can get ,Sinclair is a good young winger and may make a top class winger given time and a far better option than downing who has never been and never will be top class (yet we paid top class money)so the days of liverpool fc competing for the top players around europe and even in england are well and truly gone and our structure is about signing young hopefuls who might make the grade and keep us up in the top 8-5 places in the prem and thats the new reality for lfc unfortunately get use to it.

An investment of a couple of billion would see the best players queuing up to sign for us, with Liverpool paying the highest salaries in the world.
But this begs the question, do we want to be another Chelsea or Man City or would it be better to battle our way back up from the bottom for the nexy ten years and keep hold of our dignity?

Dignity in football  classic that one lad football lost its dignity many many moons ago mate and the only reason we look down our noses (but up the league) at city and chelsea is cos we havent got a billionair to invest in lfc if we had one lfc fans would love to be seeing the likes of hazard and rvp coming to lfc so stop kidding yerself lad.

hi kev,
to be honest i dont think chelsea, utd or city care where the money comes from and the history books will show who were champions not where the money came from. like it or not football is changing /has changed . the only hope of going about running a club fairly is if the ffp is strictly followed (which i hope it is) as money will ruin the game in my opinion .

i like to think that Br can start to get us playing some great attacking football in a 433 or 4231 which would allow many of our skilful kids to have a chance of playing as a 442 restricts the type of players that can come through. im sure the likes of suso , pacheco , sterling would flourish in a 433 or 4231

what i like about br is that he is singing from the same hymn sheet as our spanish coaches which at last will give continuity from youth to first team football.

if we cant attract top players then we produce must produce and find our own . spend decent money on our scouting system and coach them in the correct way .

valdes
messi
ineista
xavi
busquets
pedro

all came up from their youth system with messi costing 500,000 for medical bills?

what is stopping us doing the same considering we now have their former coaches on board.

Elite Reds
Lads look at the reserve team and the youth set up we have. Can anyone honestly say we have 1 player who is going to come through and be a success- Sterling maybe (and we bought him from another club). Why are we going to attract quality youngsters when our first team is not upto scratch? Does anyone remember the nextgen series last year- we were murdered by the Portuguese team who scored 10 goals in 2 games against us. We are years behind a lot of teams and unfortuntaely unless there is serious money invested in the club we have no chance of success in the near future.

Fred!

You've hit the nail on the head bigtime!
Beside the hillsborough flame
I heard a kopite mourning
Why so many taken on that day
Justice has never been done
But there memory will carry on
There`ll be glory round the fields of anfield road.

Justice for the 96 RIP YNWA!!!
