Cesare let out a contented sigh as he slipped into the water. There was nothing like a good bath after a hard day's work (hard by his standards, which was relatively normal by the rest of the world) and he was determined to enjoy it. He dunked his head under to wet his hair, then leaned back to simply enjoy a soak for a bit.

Make sure you don't relax too much, there is still work that needs doing. Fuuth commented, a bit sour. He was laid in their weyr, but not happily. Downtime was a thing he disliked despite all of his rider's attempts to the contrary.

The Weyr isn't going anywhere, Fuuth, Cesare replied calmly. It wouldn't hurt for you to take a nap. Many dragons do it.

Fuuth grumbled, I am not many dragons, but relented, laying his head down to at least doze for a bit.

It was time for a bath! Sora always enjoyed going to the Bathing Halls. They were so big and grand and had big bathing pools! Just like he had every day recently, he'd been working hard on learning the sword. It was time to relax his muscles and get all the dirt and grime off!

Admittedly, he was running a bit because he couldn't wait to get in the water- which ended up costing him, because he slipped on a stray puddle, sending him flying into the bathing pool and spraying water everywhere in one, gigantic splash.

He came up from underneath, feeling a bit sore from smacking the bottom. Sora shook the water out of his hair, taking a moment to rub his eyes as he tried to get his bearings.

Smooth.

Cesare's eyebrow slowly crept toward his hairline as he regarded Sora incredulously. He had never seen such gracelessness, even when his younger siblings were just learning to walk. To see someone his age flailing around like a newborn runner was... well, it was something. Just who was he?

He is Saupeth's. Fuuth said, the frown in his voice more than clear. Saupeth, do remind your rider to act with the decorum of his station. He told the White, trying to keep the scolding to a minimum. He couldn't MAKE his rider do anything, after all, but it was a dragon's duty to keep their rider on the straightaway.

And to think I was an adult responsible for my own actions. Cesare said wryly before turning his attention back to Sora. He seemed alright, but perhaps he should check... "Are you alright...?" He asked, propping an elbow against the side of the pool to rest his head on his hand. "That was quite a spill you took."

I apologize, my captain. My bonded isn't exactly one for subtlety. Saupeth replied to the brown in exasperation. Though I will admit, he was much worse when I initially claimed him.

Sora rubbed his forehead, then the bridge of his nose. He'd taken a bit of a bump when he fell in, but it wasn't any worse than some of the bruises he'd gotten over the years. Thankfully, his mop of wet hair was covering up the bump.

"Yeah, I'm fine! Just a little dizzy. I guess it was, huh?" He laughed, brushing some hair out of his eyes. Looking around, Sora reached down for a moment and pulled out his towel, which was just as soaked as he was. "Aw, man..." Wringing it out, he set it on the edge near where he had fell in.

Leaning up against the wall, he sank in a bit, enjoying the water. "Um, sorry if I interrupted the quiet or anything!" The white rider offered his best grin. "I'm Sora! What's your name?" He asked.

It took all of Cesare's self control not to snap 'why yes, you did interrupt my quiet', but that would be unbecoming of him. Instead, he took a breath and settled back against the wall so the water lapped at the base of his throat. "Cesare, it's a pleasure to be re-acquainted. I assume both yourself and Saupeth are familiar with Fuuth?" He asked, eyebrow still raised. It was mildly amusing that Sora seemed to have forgotten him despite them having been in the same weyrling class. Then again, he hadn't remembered the brunette's name, which was odd for him. This kid seemed hard to forget.

Fuuth rumbled in approval. See to it that he continues to improve. You've done well so far. He might have been hard on Saupeth from time to time, but it was only out of a desire to see the White succeed. He made sure to give Saupeth praise where it was due, but also to chastise him for his failings. He was a good dragon, he just needed an occasional nudge back to the straightaway.
