(arg! Almost missed this. Results for Banner's scans. Proper update will be on Wednesday morning – I promise I'll get more on the draw with posting results to perceptions and such.)

Banner's scans would indicate much of what the others had already picked up on – tapping sounds that only a blind ranger or mechanical being had a hope of registering at this point, the heart rates of those around him (some faster in nerves or excitement, some neutral in calmness as was their natures), etc – though one of his sensors, when tuned to picking up electrical impulses, would also register something that the others couldn't: a strange, almost chatter-like static that rippled in the air from – you guessed it – the southern turn in the passage. The direction that they wanted to go. Focusing and tweaking a few parameters would get some results, though they wouldn't be neat or organized by any means.

"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today."
- James Dean

A juggernaut. A really tall Juggernaut. Wait, where's the weapon? All the gears and whirs...

The blind ranger's thoughts were already in chaos at merely listening to it exist. Then came the words spoken by... it? That couldn't be a juggernaut - it was too polite. The confusion was made worse by the idea that a juggernaut, a helmeted giant whose only skill was slaughter, would not be a master warrior. More confusion - the helmeted giant hoped to hear better?

Regardless of these many, many things causing Hren to tip his head in absolute ignorance, he was far too polite to inquire or to deny someone's own logic. Instead, he just nodded and pressed himself against the opposing wall of the natural tunnels, letting his hands rest against the stone, palms flat. Despite his wild nature, and common-sense approach to everything, Scarheart never minded the closeness of others and would openly try to display this by 'making room' for something he really couldn't understand the exact size of.

"If you can hear the noise more clearly, Juggernaut, be my guest. I always find this world astonishing me."

~That thing is bloody huge...~ Korazjh thought to himself again. Once, long ago, the Gith'yanki general had stumbled upon a world where a race of constructs had souls, could speak, laugh, love, and move as though they weren't machines at all. Banner was reminding him of this quickly. Of course, when the 'creature' spoke of using a sense beyond that of the insufferably-nice blind ranger, Korazjh knew he had to do better than hide. With a quick flick of the wrist, he stepped briefly into the Astral Sea, viewing upon the room through sensory powers. He had to observe everyone's nature before he could engage fully.

He would wait for the technologically profound creature to finish its observation and wait for a moment of much less scrutiny to return to the material plane whole.

The Djinn's eyes darted over the expanse of the metallic.... person. Slowly, she raised an eyebrow, pausing in her steps and, following Hren's lead, pressed herself against the wall in hopes there would be enough room for the Autobot to pass her.

"Juggernaut seems an appropriate term... you're sure you're not a warrior?" The sheer size of Banner was a tad interesting to see, to be hones, since Cassandra has never seen such a being before. Then again, new to her was always intriguing rather than unnerving, so she caught herself trying to figure out who was 'inside' to the best of her capabilities.

As she allowed Banner passage, she glanced back towards the others in the hall, though her mind wandered to sending a thought to Scarheart.

James watched Banner walk forwards. He wasn't totally caught off guard by the walking automaton. He had seen computer operated systems. Though this one was a little different. Xe said it wasn't a fighter? Well, he knew pacifist that enlisted. So it wasn't that foreign a idea either. He nodded to Xim as he past. James figured that he would have a rough time shooting past Xim. But he wasn't going to be the first to tell Xim. Even if Xe was a fighter, James didn't want to get on his bad side.

Gwydion walked quickly along... Well, A quick walk for him was probably most peoples running speed. He strolled through the town. Trying to familiarize himself with the area and find a place to stay. this place, the "Weyr" as he heard it called. Seemed like it had plenty of opportunity for someone good with a blade. Though it seemed like fighting was something that most of these people seemed to not need one at the moment. He rolled his shoulders, maybe this library he was directed to may tell him something. He wasn't sure what the Inn keeper meant by "Odd people going there for some job.." But he needed information, and from his experience, libraries where a good place to find such info. Add the note that was asked for help in flowing, silver script. Then he might also have a job to do and earn some extra cash. Eventually, after a few dead end turns. He found the place he was looking for. The library looked like it was currently in a state of repair. He wasn't to surprised, as the man said that this place was being restored. What did surprise him was the back side of what looked like a robot walking into the place. He knew sentient robots when he saw them. He had seen his fair share. But to see one here? Now he was starting to understand the Inn keepers "Odd fellows" comment. He slowed himself down. For what may be the first time in his life, he considered possible not rushing in. It wasn't his style, but it was probably the wiser move...

Nah, that's boring.

He blitz towards the door. Paused to let give compose himself. And kicked open the door! To see... no one there...He sighed, why can't he ever have a cool door opening reveal? And where did that giant robot go? It wasn't exactly something you lose. After a brief tirade against the air, he could hear something... Voices? Definitely, coming from another room. He decided that maybe the over-the-top entrance chance was gone. So he simply followed the voices. When he entered the basement, He came upon a iron door that led down. Gwydion walked into the cellar, surprised that there were so many people were there. "Uh, this a bad time? I was looking for the Sci-Fi section." He said, taking in the group as a whole. From the blind ranger, to the Desperado looking dude. To the giant robot and the rather out of place girl. To the Being that filled the room with a Icy aurora of cool magic and the pale yet properly dressed man that gave off a holy vibe. He knew that somehow, he had landed in one heck of a adventure.

Glancing back, Cassandra blinked a couple of times at the newcomer. She hadn't really expected even more individuals to show up, and yet....

"Sci...fi?" She blinked a couple of times and even shot a confused look towards Raferties, though her eyes darted back to Gwydion.
"I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to, but the timing I guess depends on why you're here."

Judging by the weapons on him, the Djinn presumed that he was there for the same reasons the rest were - the invitation from Raferties. However, his odd vernacular and what he was speaking of... the confusion lingered even as she continued to allow the already tight hall to be even more cramped.

Softly, she murmured to her Firelizard that was flitting about the corridor, "Aneira... why don't you hold back in the scroll room. Just for a little bit. Make sure no one else gets lost when we continue on..." The white winged-one took off, easily finding her perch to keep an eye out for her surroundings.

Ashyana sighed, pausing outside of the library in question. Zeeno had informed her that the "Green man" had seemed intrigued by a particular fragment of parchment that he had received... one that, according to the little creature, had looked remarkably similar to one that she herself had received. Zeeno then had seen his "Master" heading towards the town and, she presumed, this location. Although she had not seen him the entire way, she had used her Firelizard to technically track him. Bushido was rather skilled at such things as she was connected somehow to Korazjh.

That aside, the Selu'ani glanced skyward to where the aforementioned Dragonette was circling the building. "Thank you, my darling. You may return home now. I am unsure what this situation entails, but if there is true need to assistance from you, I will call. Thank you, Bushido."

With that, the Firelizard was gone, going Between and allowing for the Elf for quietly slip inside the faintly ajar front doors. A glance over a dusty imprint told her that someone had used their foot most likely to open it, though she chose to ignore such a menial detail. It wasn't with enough force to disturb the wooden integrity, so it was not truly aggressive. Meaning, if she could guess, it was out of flourish.

Passing through, Ashyana's eyes darted around at the plethora of books within. A wondrous sight, indeed, though she hadn't the luxury of delay. Ahead, she heard metal, distinct tone differences of multiple voices, and the fluttering of wings that reminded her of her own Firelizard. Quietly, she found her way through the rooms and down to the Iron Door where the congregation had yet to fully progress into the dungeon beneath.

Not wishing to interrupt, she remained relatively silent at the top of the stairs. She didn't mask her arrival at all, guessing that someone would eventually take notice of her presence. Instead, she took the time while they spoke between each other to find that her "target" did not seem to be present.

Frowning, she shot a couple of glances around the scroll chamber, wondering if she and Bushido had been wrong about the location of Korazjh.... she shifted in her stance ever-so-slightly and waited.

Tide wanted to point out that xis name was Banner and not Juggernaut but kept quiet about it. If Banner would raise no objections, she would not either unless she knew for sure it made xim uncomfortable. Hearing a voice behind them, she turned and blinked at the new comer. Sci-fi? Bad timing? "Ummm...."

Deciding that the quiet was probably long ago broken, she decided to help out Cassandara a bit. "Sci-fi is usually something that is scientific in nature, but is also in the realm of fantasy. It is often what people would think of as the future of science. I once found a book where they described a teleportation device that was much like how a dragon betweens except it was a machine that did this with electricity and wires." Tide shrugged, not sure if she explained it right or not or if she was even helpful. Though if this guy really wanted to find that section, he was wearing the wrong sort of garments for it. Not that would stop Tide from showing him back to the main floor upstairs and helping him look for the books he wanted.

If that was what he wanted to do of course.

“Juggernaut?” Sorry, Hren et al, Ban wasn’t quite certain what to make of that particular nickname. Xe knew what the word meant, at least in the theoretical sense, but ‘juggernaut’ was a word better applied to Supremes and metrotitans. They, after all, were the mecha capable of tearing cities and planets apart bare-handed. Compared to them xe was a pale and fragile imitation indeed.

...then again, the last metrotitans had fled civilized space close to a million years previous, and the overwhelming majority of Supremes had perished in the eons before. If any members of either category survived, they were doing an excellent job of covering their tracks. Ban couldn’t bring xirself to blame them. The war might’ve been over now, but the ink on the Autobot-Decepticon ceasefire was still wet, and faction divides four million years in the making weren’t vanish overnight. The reappearance of an unallied mechanism capable of planetary bombardment would surely fan the flames into an inferno all over again.

So yes. The longer the Supremes and cityformers and sparked ships stayed lost, the happier Ban and the rest of Teragaia would be. Hren, Cassandra, James and Tide had no way of knowing this, of course, and Ban wasn’t about to tell them. Instead the minibot flashed the lot of them a tight smile and kept xir unhappy thoughts to xirself.

“Please, call me Banner. ‘Juggernaut’s a bit big of a title for somebot as small as me. Now, ah- give me just a moment, and I’ll-”

Ban’s optics- one silver, one gold- dimmed in concentration as xe cut some feeds and boosted others. Teragaia was an oddly loud world, albeit not in the way Banner xirself was accustomed to. Cybertron had fairly hummed with short-wave transmissions and electromagnetic interference for all that it lacked much in the way of actual sound. Earth had been its precise inverse. Teragaia was an as-yet unknown quantity, but the longer Ban wandered the odd planet the more xe suspected it took queues from Earth. There was no technological background noise here, no planet-wide datanet- which made the oddly blurred chatter emanating from further down the tunnel stand out like the proverbial sore thumb.

“...oh dear.” Straightening, Ban swapped back to xir normal audio configuration. “There’s definitely something down there. They’re transmitting on a fairly narrow frequency, but I think I can tune in on it.”

Maybe there was some truth to that old joke about any sufficiently advanced technology being indistinguishable from magic. To the uninitiated Ban’s ability to attune xir sensors and play a live feed of the diggers’ radio chatter probably looked a bit like magic.

“Is it just me, or do they sound, ah... a little nervous?” Y’know, just like xe did.

"It's hard for me to pick it apart, but yeah, it does sound kind of nervous. I think I heard 'careful' said a couple of times there..."

The Djinn tipped her head to Tide's description, but chose to save that conversation for perhaps another point in time.

Cassandra frowned slightly, her own senses not quite as skilled as others for picking up auditory clues, but she relied on Hren and the others for that. Instead, she just nodded and continued to lean against the wall, not wishing to make Banner too unsettled by proximity.

"Well, Banner, as you desire..." (She took to never saying the "W" word.) "Thank you for the translation... and even being able to hear that in the first place. At least now we know a bit more about it. Any objections to continuing down this way? Anyone?"

The Djinn's gaze darted to each face, checking or any ounce of doubt.

Gwydion's entrance wouldn't be quite as unobserved as he might have thought; the Koro Kirava family had seen his grand entrance from their various perches along the empty areas of the shelving and the ceiling, and had naturally relayed the happening to Raferties. So even as the Journeyman entered and everyone was speaking, the angel was turning to greet the newcomer with a friendly smile and waiting to speak himself until the banter had calmed down.

“Not a bad time, per say,” he replied as well, taking in the journeyman's appearance to mean it was his intent join in on the expedition that had gotten quite a bit larger than he thought it might. “I have been given charge over this library, and discovered the door that led down to here. As we have discovered an unknown cavern network, we were going to explore it some and ensure that it is safe. If you feel yourself capable in combat in any way, we would welcome your assistance.” This last was said with a small nod towards Ashyanna as well whom he just caught sight of at the top of the landing, to let her know that she was welcome as well. He'd noticed her hanging back a bit, quiet, but recognized her at least from Aurae's clutch's hatching, so she wasn't utterly unfamiliar to him.

Slipping into the astral realm had at least kept Korazjh safe from the angel's eyes, at least.

When it seemed everyone was settled and at least a bit comfortable with one another, Raferties gestured towards the tunnel. “I believe we had decided on south?”

Proceeding south, the group would fall into something of a marching order with Raferties drifting to the middle of the bunch, both to allow his Radiance to illuminate as much of the group as he could for safety's sake as well as due to the fact that most of his strongest combat capabilities were ranged. It would be something akin to walking among stars with the crystals along the walls shedding their candle-glow light, rather beautiful aside from the fact that they were heading into the unknown. Perhaps it was the IF playing with their perceptions, or working its usual chaos, but as they progressed the tunnels became wider and taller, until it was nearly twenty feet tall and around fifteen wide, give or take. This was probably a good thing, as it would give everyone ample room to maneuver around without colliding with one another.

The tunnel ventured for fifty feet, give or take, making one bend and sloping slightly downwards before presenting them with another choice.

To their left a cavern stretched around sixty feet at its widest and thirty-five feet or so the other way, with another tunnel leading off from it. This chamber would be much more brilliantly lit as the crystals in here were different: all of them were round rather than the standard shape of crystal clusters, glowing yellow-white in differing levels of illumination. The light they shed seemed to be directly proportionate to their size: The smaller ones, perhaps the size of a marble, were barely glowing while the larger ones – much closer to a man's fist in size – were quite bright. There were also clear signs that some of them had been removed, perhaps quite recently, as holes created gaps between the crystals.

The other choice was to continue south, as the tunnel they were in proceeded that way. Scarheart's almost inhumanly sharp perceptions would have been picking up the clicking noise, now much more of a rolling rhythm than it had been before, down this continuation and moving ahead of them, away. The static-chatter that Banner would have heard would also continue, though it would have subsided mostly to quiet murmuring that would make little sense interspersed with 'aware' and 'eaters.'

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

And we're off!

Yet another choice for our Heroes, and some more curiosities to explore. And once again, here's the Map, updated for the new area uncovered. Please keep in mind that the map is only for direction and what chambers have been seen, not necessarily for dimensions.

Tide found herself in the middle back of the group and she was okay with that. She shouldn't be in the way here which would be good if any fighting broke out. The chatter Banner had shared was a little too gabbled, but she did agree with xim about the fact they did should nervous. Usually people didn't talk that fast when they were calm. Usually.

It didn't seem like it was long before they came to another fork in the road so to speak and had to pause to pick which way they would go. Tide was tempted by the cavern as it was brightly lit and she doubted anyone or anything could sneak up on them easily. On the other hand, she had no idea if there was anything down the tunnel at the end of the cavern so she would keep quiet for now until Banner, Scarheart, or Cassandra spoke up. After all, they were the ones that had first picked up the signs that something was down this way so it made sense to her that they would at least have more of an idea what would be down the two tunnels.

The Djinn paused at the intersection, straining her neck to gaze down both passageways before shrugging towards the rest of the individuals. "Well, I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I'm leaning towards where the noise is coming from, if you two still hear it. I'm not fond of leaving potential enemies at my back to explore around a cave.... but that's just me, at least."

With a smile to the waiting others, Cassandra leaned against the wall, willing to start wandering off down the passage if no one responded quick enough... it wasn't impatience, but she didn't see much point to stand around while the creatures perhaps got too far away to investigate.

Anyway, she was sure that Hren would follow her if necessary.

Following the group down the passageway, Ashyana was quite intrigued about the oddity of the corridor's dimensions. However, having been in Teragaia long enough, it didn't phase her too terribly, but was interesting to watch, nonetheless.

When the rest of the group stopped moving, she ceased movement as well, her sandals causing a light thunking as they connected with the coarse stone. She frowned at the noise, thinking that it would have been more beneficial if she had brought her boots, but she shrugged off that notion - her choices of the past were not anything to dwell upon.

She decided that at this moment, it would be best to remain in the back and wait until it was assured that she was needed. No sense getting in the way of matters......

James nodded to Cassandra. "I agree, whatever it is, I don't want my back to it. Nervous or not." He peeked into the other room. While inviting, he wasn't a fan of ambushes... Unless it was him setting them up. He had taken a place near the front of the formation. Like he had said, clear line of sights made his job far more easier. He would hate to have to start bouncing bullets of walls just to hit his intended target. Plus, there was no guarantee that the bullet may keep bouncing. He didn't want to use his launcher. In fact, it was the last thing on his mind. Way to close for that. So he would have to depend on his revolvers for any encounter coming up.

Gwydion wasn't sure is following the odd assortment of people into the dark underground was the best idea he ever had. But then again, when it came to idea. He didn't have a stellar track record. He moved to the front, where he could do the most damage and get into the fight quicker. When they came to the fork in the road, He looked both ways. He wasn't caring as to which way did what. More like, which one got him into a fight faster.

When two members made it clear that they wanted to chase sounds. He simply nodded, might as well. Though there was something about what banner said... Frequency? More robots maybe? He let a small spark bounce over his palm. He could sense one of two things. Electricity, or magic. Though it seemed both were already already covered. Plus he had to hold back on his Ether. The electricity of banner and the magic of the Djinn covered up any sensing potential he had. So he decided to lower he's a to not interfere with their detecting. He leaned on a wall, waiting for the group to decide which way to go.

The ranger stopped at the door way, sensing the strange way their footsteps vibrated through the chamber, indicating those crystals he otherwise wouldn't have seen. With the sense of a draft wrapping around the room and jutting out the other passage, he knew they had come to a fork as well. Softly, he would step into the room on their left fully, getting a feel of its dimensions as well as listening down the corridor in the other direction - the largest reason being to determine if continue south would indeed not leave adversaries at their back.

Without a word, he'd sign a few hand gesture to Cassandra in a quick form of communication he had developed and thus shared with a few people around the weyr.

Again, he would rely on his ears, well-trained in the absence of sight, to tell him what they faced ahead, and hopefully the resonance that all dense crystals shared in common would provide more detail despite distance.

Korazjh'iktha was a very patient individual. He of course would wait and observe for as long as he could before revealing his presence became necessary. Once the motley crew were well on their way, Korazjh returned from the Astral Sea to simply walk silently behind the collective, that kinetic force keeping him aloft from the ground so he'd not make any unnecessary noises. When they'd arrive at the intersection, the Gith General would roll his eyes and lean against a cavern wall.

~Well, this might take all night to accomplish anything. Perhaps I can entertain myself with a game of people solitaire. Who will flip first I ponder...~

That's when he actually paid attention to the fact that Ashyana was there. The gith almost spoke out loud, instead of in his mind, at the site of the meddling Elf. Quickly, however, he contained himself. ~Oh this will be interesting indeed. Perhaps I can get her to owe me another...~

"Does anyone get any unsettled feelings?" The Djinn would shift from foot to foot, the excitement growing of the situation at hand.

The Selu'ani paused, tipping her head.... probably making the Gith think she had somehow managed to detect him.... though she would instead be simply listening intently to the conversation, intrigued about what the blind ranger would hear that perhaps her own hearing could not. She knew from the previous time she had met him that he was quiet wondrous with his senses - more so than she - but she had never seen such displayed before her in a more active situation.

Scarheart would hear from down the passage that continued the sound of the rhythmic clicking, though it would be moving steadily away. Under this though, he would hear something else. A sound that was much more furtive, so quiet that every time someone spoke, or shifted, or breathed a little too loudly - even the almost noiseless rustle of Raferties' wings as he peered around - would make him just about lose it again.

Spoiler: click to toggle

As for everyone else and Cassandra's question, Banner would be still picking up the static-like noise from before, only this time it would seem more focused on the words protect and [/i]return.[/i]

Most everyone else would get a strange sense when they were closer to the cavern with it's crystals they stood. It would be warm, inviting, almost... homey. Raferties in particular would be moving closer though it would seem subconsciously, shifting to look around and taking a couple steps that direction, then shifting again and repeating the motion.

Korazjh would actually pick up on something himself, from his place of concealment and stealth.
