Almost done Mystique

Aw. Thanks guys. The length of time sort of depends. Nightcralwer was a pain because I had to figure out how to do the fingers and toes so I kept getting annoyed and stopping.

Mystique didn't take very long at all really.

I crochet some too, but probably nothing that adorable. :)

Thank you. I actually do have a base pattern that I use. Or well patterns because I use slightly different things for male and female dolls. That said I end up altering quite a bit or having to completely make up pieces depending on what I'm making and I don't write any of that stuff down because I'm an idiot.

Base Pattern

That's the link the the base pattern for female dolls, and it has links at the bottoms for male dolls. They're all Doctor Who dolls, which I will someday make. I use Captain Jack's pattern a lot because it includes a long coat, which I needed for the likes of Spike, and a gun, which I needed for Mystique. The basic body shape for all the Doctor Who males is the same so you can use that for any male dolls as long as you change colors to represent who you're doing.

The female Rose doll pattern has slight differences in size and a pattern for a shirt, which I sometimes use and sometimes don't depending on the character.

ETA: I also prefer the much longer method of hooking the hair as opposed to creating a wig and sewing it on.

Feel free to hit me up with questions or just fun rambling about it. I don't have a lot lot of people to talk crochet with so it'd be nice to have more. It can be daunting, but it's awesome at the same time to make the dolls.
