Welcome to The United Literates, or TUL! We hope you enjoy your visit!

We're one of the largest all-genre, all-literate forums on the Zathyrus Networks, and we'd love to have you join! Our roleplays range from the fun to the mature, and are all member-run and created, extending from Fictional roleplays set in the past and future, to Real-Life and Fan-Fiction categories. In addition to roleplays, TUL also has a vibrant community of artists and writers, featured in The Cafe section of the website, who also love to do things out of character through our Lounge area.

Right now, you're viewing the forum as a guest, which means you only have limited access to the board and it's features. To join TUL and start roleplaying with us, all you have to do is click the link below, register, and pass through our applications process. So what are you waiting for?

Welcome to TUL and register today!

Good morning, afternoon, evening, or post-midnight, TUL.

You may have seen the recent topics (such as Roxas's topic here) discussing the future of TUL and how to improve it from the admittedly-low place it's been for the past year or so. There's been speculation on the part of members, ideas thrown out to your TUL staff, and endless debates on our part about what - if anything - to do.

And in the end, it came down to something pretty radical.

Before we make the full announcement, I do want to explain a little how we reached this conclusion: TUL is - and has been - losing members faster than Niagara dumps water. There are many, many reasons for this, and the lack of activity does have a lot to do with the staff's disinterest or inability over the past months to actually do things to fix it. But it also has a lot to do with the simple overall clutter on the board itself. And what we hope this will do is fix that.

So, without any further ado, TUL 2 is now officially the home of TUL - it has a similar URL, and eventually even the theunitedliterates.com URL will change to reflect it. You'll find the link below, as well as a couple of directional points on what this entire move entails.

1) First off, the link: Click here to be brought to the main page. When you arrive, you'll note that there's very little in the way of members here. This brings us to our next step:

2) Things that need to be done on the part of members: You need to register an account, and post a token application (seriously, this can be done with literally any roleplay post you have here) in the application forum so we can both get you approved (we'll be working pretty much as much as humanly possible to approve people ASAP) and so we can begin to give new members a look at what they're supposed to post.

3) Move your roleplays. We need roleplays - specifically, current ones - to be moved over the next few weeks. You can do this in one of two ways: doing it yourself, post by post with your partners, or by asking an administrator to do it for you. If you want to opt out, feel free to simply start a new topic at the new site and continue from where you left off.

4) There is a time limit for the move. With two sites, bouncing back and forth will be draining for both the admins AND for you guys - we don't expect you to try to keep both straight on your bookmarks (I get confused sometimes, too), and so there is a time limit for the move. Exactly two weeks from today, all forums on this site will go to 'Read-Only' status - and you will no longer be able to post in any, though the site itself will still remain active and online.

With all that housekeeping done, I just wanted to say that it's been a wild ride. I first arrived here as a freshman in high school, as a regular member, and as a sophomore in college, I can say it's been a great time - both old and new. If you have any off-site roleplaying buddies, be sure to refer them to the new TUL. And maybe it's wrong to even call it that. It's more: it's something old, something new, rebooted, updated. It's TUL - just with a different skin.

Best to you all, and we'll see you there.

Locke, Shadowed, Walking Softly, Roxas, and the rest of TUL's Crew

Hurr, we are helpful links.

I keep getting an error message whenever I try to register. Like this: Board does not exist.
Make sure you did not mis-type the URL.
