The Great War is over. The Decepticons have (seemingly) been defeated, and Megatron is (presumably) dead. Shockwave has "vanished" (while incidentally a charismatic figure named Longarm heads up Cybertron Intelligence), Soundwave has been "captured", and acting Decepticon leader Starscream "leads" the Decepticon remnant in exile. Optimus Prime is now the Supreme Commander of the Elite Guard, Cybertron's security force. While Cybertron is at peace, those born after the war go through boot camp before they take their jobs. Cybertron's many Autobot veterans head up these boot camps and comprise the Elite Guard, and the system keeps the populace at a basic level of military readiness, should a new threat ever arise. Captain Ironhide, a coarse and gruff Autobot veteran who finds it difficult to adjust to post war life, heads up one of these boot camps. However, in evident recognition of his talents, the cadets given to him are somewhat special. They are the troublemakers, the deviants, those who either flunked out of or blew up their previous boot camps. Optimus Prime himself assigned these cadets to his old friend, believing that it would be a good experience for him and that Ironhide's experiences would go a long way to making them proper Autobots. Ironhide, for the most part, is grumpy. That is, until he receives word of a mysterious energy signature detected on a planet seemingly untouched by the Great War, called by its inhabitants... Earth. Excited to finally be on a mission again, the world conspires against Ironhide once again when he discovers his problem cadets will be accompanying him to Earth, for a multiple month training exercise in disguise and cultural immersion under a real Autobot veteran. Ironhide and his cadets arrive in a region of Earth called Canada by those who live there. At the same time, the daughter of a certain athlete is out on her motorcycle when she stumbles across something unusual in a crater... and that's the least of her worries when her motorcycle comes to life. Oh, and apparently a band of Decepticon pirates, hired by a mysterious individual, have arrived on Earth as well, and they're apparently after the same thing the Autobots are investigating. Well, Ironhide wanted action, and it looks like that's getting a certain 'resurgence'. Autobots: Ironhide (Omega Prime) A military veteran with a lot of guns and a gruff exterior. Not good with kids, has found himself around them. Suspects the universe has a cruel sense of humor. Flareup (ScarfDyedRed) An exuberant cadet with a lot of spunk and mischievousness. Does not get along well with authority. Does get along well with high explosives. Not the best combo. Wheeljack (Dilly) Voted "Most Likely to Blow Up Cybertron and Destabilize the Universe" by a board of his peers before he blew up their boot camp. Kind of an awkward nerd type. Slug (Siegzilla) The sort of guy who's always angry and likes to smash things and then set them on fire and then set them on fire again. Wants to be a Dynobot when he grows up. Hoversprite (Dilly) Congratulations, it's a healthy newborn girl! Just been born, still having a bit of trouble dealing with that. A bit quiet, mostly because it's her first time talking ever. Breakaway (Omega Prime) A young Aerialbot sniper with speed to burn. His ironic inability to break away from protocol, even when the situation necessitates doing so, is what convinced Optimus to give him some field experience where improvisation is key. Decepticons: Dreadwing (Omega Prime) The quiet and loyal lieutenant and enforcer to ???. Kind of broody and grim, lost a brother during the war. Has both a sword and a mortar. Much respect given. Twirl (ScarfDyedRed) An interior decorator, cheerleader, moodmaker, and psychopath. Her favorite color is pink, the color of energon, which she is sometimes splattered in. Very cheerful. Much respect given to you, ScarfDyedWhite. A good, concise summary featuring your own brand of irreverence. I'm excited. (Also suspected you would bring Twirl). But I think we also decided on an Aerialbot, and I'd like to use a young Breakaway to fill that role. |

10/10 do condone. ![]() Already planted seeds for the finale *derp* Massive Decepticon invasion of Cybertron, Shockwave uses his position to take down planetary defenses and mess up comms, and Soundwave springs all the prisoners on the planet. (It'll be epic in other words) |

Sweet, thanks! I'm usually Johnny on the Spot with human characters, and I already had plans for a main male and female on the human side. However, I wanted to see if you had any thoughts on that subject. You mention that Hoversprite's owner is the daughter of a pro athlete--how old did you envision the daughter to be? |

Guess that means I will portray her hockey-playing dad, which of course was my intention. Is it cool if you let me come up with her dad so you have an idea of how he's like before you make the daughter? (Edit Breakaway into the cast list too. Or can I do that?) |

Indeed. I deliberately noted her as daughter of pro athlete since I knew this would happen. ovo You can do that, I also have no idea what you intend for him. ovo |

I knew TON was coming sooner or later. XD Anyways I edited Breakaway in. Everything looks great so far, especially the first act's finale. Let's fill out the team of Decepticon space pirates though. TON, you have no characters in this yet. Wanna go first? |

First act's finale will probably be the entire team facing Lockdown and company, who is super deadly. Massive Decepticon invasion of Cybertron with its defenses all fallen and such is final finale. Sent to the boot camp for being too rigid, eh? He's probably the sort of massive tool that arrives an hour early to an assembly then. I dig it. He'll offer a nice contrast with the troublemaking problem children. :O |

"Final finale." Those words instantly make me anticipate the end even though we haven't begun. Glad you appreciate my Breakaway idea. I thought it was the perfect way to have him contrast with his peers. |

Here's my concept for the pro athlete human dad of the story.![]() 35-year old Brendan Morrison plays centre for the Calgary Flames of Earth's National Hockey League. Despite his relative age, he remains one of the league's superstars, with tremendous athleticism and skill that makes up for his somewhat smaller physique (5'11", 185 pounds). Brendan is active in the community, involved in charity outreaches, fundraisers and motivational speaking. He is an upstanding man, but has made his fair share of mistakes, fathering a child at the too-young age of 18. After his girlfriend broke up with him, he became a faithful father, and his daughter is now on the cusp of adulthood. |

I like him a lot, and I look forward to crafting his daughter. It'll be like AOE except with a strong female character and not a damsel in distress with butt shots. ovo |

Here be a few of my initial chars for this hoedown Decepticons Hakken A traveling mercenary, Hakken is known for his calm yet quick witted personality and silver tongue. He has a deep passion for combat and dance viewing a well fought battle as the purest form of dance. He is willing to do whatever he is paid for but strays from preforming task he find beneath him such as fighting weaker opponents. His weapon of choice is a pair of long segmented metallic whips attached to his forearms with circular energy projectors at the end that form energy blades. Alt Mode: Sports Car Skullcross Among the last generation to be born before the Great War's end. Skullcross like many was quickly forced to pick a side and aligned himself with the Autobots. While once a loyal and eager soldier the war took a toll on the young Cybertronian and as the conflict entered it's final days, Skullcross became disillusioned with the Autobots ideals finding either side no better than the other. When the war ended he abandoned the Autobot ranks and began traveling the stars alone. Over this period he found himself recruited by the pirate band. His weapons of choice are a pair of double barreled pistols and a unique sword. Medivac was put out of boot camp due to her disrespect for military authority and refusal to partake in any combat training. A sworn pacifist, Medivac is known for her loud mouth, strong sense of humor and sarcasm along with her ability to make light of nearly anything. But despite this Medivac has been noted for her impressive skills as a field medic and combat rescue operator. Her instructors have noted that despite her stubborn resolve to uphold pacifism she is more than capable of defending herself in a jam. Alt Mode: Helicopter |
