[size0]we love for the whole registering process to be quick and most importantly pain-free, because nobody likes pain. so here's the rule for registration. follow it and there will be no pain.
register with First and Last name of the character you are applying for
mmm, surprising, huh? no, really. it's easy and straightforward, and best of all organized. we all love organization here. it makes life so much easier for all of us. and, with that username, applying will be a snap: first, last, is key. mhm. see how easy that was? Remember to capitalize the first letter in both the first and last name.
[size0] okay, see here: we are a literate site, so we expect literate members. we like people who can keep up with our level of writing. if you don't think you meet our standards: why not try? there's no harm, right? we'll even help you out when you need help and cheer you on.
post size? well, we want you to write a few good sized paragraphs: at least. that's the bare minimum. detail=love. we want to hear what your character is thinking, what they are feeling, all their emotions, what they are seeing at the moment. once you get rolling its really hard to stop, so come up with a good starter paragraph first and then make sure you have a good, solid way to end your post. no one likes drab endings, so make sure its a nice cutoff. make sure your posts are at least 350 words long, an average size. if you want to add on, go ahead! if you want to take some off, no one is stopping you, but make sure you don't take off too much.
[size0] this site is rated M. for mature, to those of you who don't know what that means. this is a roleplay site, so we are playing out plots, and you really don't know what to expect from a post if it goes somewhere you didn't expect it to. so be prepared for swearing (even though i don't want people to start dropping f-bombs every other word) and sex, drugs, and whatever else. but be aware that excessive amounts of these are strictly forbidden: we do not want sex in every thread, and every other guy should not be doing drugs, and every other girl should not be pregnant. if there will be sex in a thread, mark it with an M or Mature. if the thread goes somewhere you didn't expect it to go, please go back and edit it. we don't want people randomly stumbling across things they are not comfortable reading. if you want the thread to fade to black at a certain point, go ahead. but don't make it too graphic: for the rep of the site and for the rep of you as a roleplayer. thank you.
[size0] first of all, there is a limit. You may only have up to 5 characters, no more, so don’t ask.
secondly, don't make like 5 girls and 0 guys. girls are amazing (of course) and fun to roleplay, but guys are essential. fact of life #1: without guys, there would be no girls. fact of life #2: there are guys in this world. fact of life #3: roleplaying with a ratio of 10:1 girls to guys is no fun and gets really really boring. So let's say you have 5 characters? make 2-3 of them guys.
Lastly, Also, with canons, you may not be more than one canon from the same group. Example: you may not play more than one Cullen, you may not play more than one member of the same wolf pack, you may not play more than one Volturi, ETC. (No, exceptions)
[size0] please don't join and ditch. that's L for lame. if you join our site, we expect you to actually log on few times a week(to each of your accounts, please and thank you!). but that isn't just being active: being active is making at least a post per day! we don't care if it's a post in the plotting pages, or a post in the ooc games, or a post in an actual thread, or just an application or something. we just want a post. we love to see the lovely font type of your computer on our screens, so please be there and don't let us down, mkay?
if you're going to be inactive or away for a period of more than three days, please let us know by either (the preferred method) posting in the absence thread or by (if you have no time) pming an admin so they can post in the absence thread for you and/or let all the other admins/mods know.
[size0] --spam us. that is laaaaame. --give us a bunch of rubbish in a post. we like substance and vocabulary not chatspeak. good: '"Where were you?" she asked, hoping that the blatant worry showed clearly on her horror stricken face." bad: '"dude where were u" she askd. she wuz like fricking scared and she wanted to hold his hand bcz she was so scared." --disrespect the other members just because you don't like an idea. not cool. --apply as 20 billion myspace/flickr/scene queen people. nope. not very realistic. i mean, people like frieda rose and becky filip have become popular roleplay characters, so i guess they're tolerable. but don't find some random joe schmoe on myspace and pass them off as a playby. thank you!
the most important rule! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
[size0] HAVE FUN. seriously. roleplaying should be a fun hobby, and i know sometimes it doesn't feel like it when your character application is rejected (sadface) or you're plot idea doesn't come through exactly the way you wanted to. but all the ups and downs? they're part of the FUN of roleplaying. all of us will try and make it the best possible experience for you if you do the same for us. so go out there and roleplay your face off.
these rules were made by ASH LIKES YOUR FACE. aka ashlynn of CAUTION 2.0 <3. she loves you all dearly, but remember, if you remove this credit she will send out her pet turtle to eat you. so don't remove it! kthnx!
