Felix just looked down at her for a moment, his grin slowly fading away in a sad little pout. Aw man and here he was hoping that someone might freak out just a little bit, but to his displeasure his little craft went without even a silent scream. What a bummer. Because of this back fire, he just placed it down onto the floor and picked up one of the needles. "Well, that was uneventful," he chuckled softly to himself, "but these actual ones really shouldn't hurt unless you move. So you don't got to worry your pretty little head about it." The man gently grabbed onto the girl's arm and pulled it towards him while holding one needle in his hand. It was only a matter of a couple of minutes that he had injected her with both of the shots needed for their mission, covering both with a piece of cotton. "So, are you nervous about going into the city?" he questioned the girl as he disposed of the needles, "seems to me like it would be quite the scary place to go." |

[Probably not going to do everyone, just because that would get awfully tedious, so let's assume everyones good now?] Westlake administered the vaccines to Neena. "You're very good," he told her, "You didn't flinch, most of the new recruits usually flinch. Then again, if you won the flag game, I guess that means you're pretty tough anyways. Just FYI, he-" Westlake pointed to Lieutenant Weaver, who stood sipping a cup of water as he slipped out the door, "-He always flinches. And he's an officer." He gave her a smile, and sent her on her way. That was it. That was everyone on his list. Westlake idled for a moment, disposing of the used needles, cleaning up little things that only sort-of needed done. He assumed Alexy was still by the door, but didn't dare sneak a look at him because he'd probably catch it. And there's not point in being sneaky, if you know you're going to get caught. The distraction of vaccinations over, he found himself nervous. He'd seen a gun, felt the weight of it, but he'd never actually fired one before. And that was sort of terrifying. And what would he even be shooting at? He wondered absurdly if Rob would get upset if he shot at the cactuses beyond the gate. He smushed his face into the back of Felix's head and muttered a, "Goodbye and please pray that I don't do something stupidly embarrassing, like shoot myself in the foot, or worse shoot Alexy in the foot and make him hate me," and then West wandered over to the door, and gave Alexy a smile that make West look a little bit like a nervous Cheshire cat. "Right, you ready? I'm ready." Edited by Rob, Dec 22 2013, 02:01 PM.

Abby shook her head no. Sure the city was dangerous but it didn't scare her. She was barely noticeable as it was, invisible when she was actually trying. She shots weren't painful, but they made her arms weak for a few minutes. She was actually looking forward to the city. She loved scavenging for new things and was hoping she could find some more substitute pots to plant the seeds she had bought with her. She was looking forward to having fresh vegetables, but she still needed soil and to talk Major Rob about using extra water. "Lollipop?" Abby asked cutely |

Alexy looked up and smiled, "Da Sure, Come" he said standing off the wall and rolling his shoulders, He beckoned Westlake to follow and began walking across the base to the firing range, "So, Have you ever handled a gun before?" he asked looking over at the man as they walked, He Doesnt seem to have. Yeah but everyone should have a natural feel for them right? Not everyone is attuned to our weapons as we are. Alexy chuckled to himself |

Westlake couldn't help but smile back, and he felt some of his nervousness melt away. I'm going to be fine, he'll be a good teacher, he's not gonna let me shoot myself. Probably. He folded his arms across his chest and moved to walk next to Alexy rather than behind him. "Yes but um, also no? I've held one, but I've never shot one or anything." Alexy Nods, "Ahh, Well In that case..." he said coming to a stop at the firing range, "... Here" he added pulling G17 out of its holster and pointing it at the ground, Letting the pistol dangle off his Index finger by the trigger guard, "right now it won't fire even if you pulled the trigger hard enough to break it." |

West stared at the gun for a moment, as if Alexy were trying to hand him a grenade with the pin pulled. He sucked in a small breath, a tiny part of his mind edging around the trepidation with mentions of The way he's holding it, that's really hot. "Thanks," he said, taking it into his hand. It was cold, and heavier than it looked, but not as heavy as he expected. He twitched a smile. |

Neena let out a soft sigh after the injections were done, giving her arm a slight rub over where the needles were inserted. "Why would I have? They're just needles right?" she looked over towards the man that slipped out the door, her brow raised in curious confusion. Yet, when he'd mentioned the man always flinching and his rank, she couldn't help but to chuckled a little bit at it. As soon as she was sent away, she made her way out of the infirmary. Now there was only one thing left to do, go get some breakfast quickly before they went on their mission into the city. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hmm?" Felix felt a face smushed against his back, "bye Westlake, you can be certain that I'll pray for you, or at least hope you don't shoot yourself in the foot. Wouldn't want to see you back in here again for a while, specially if I need to put stitches in you or something." The man chuckled softly to himself, giving a light wave towards the other before his attention when back to the girl. "I'm a bit surprised you aren't scared or nervous," he said with a smile, "I know I would be if I had to go." Felix removed the cotton balls from off her arms, the disposed of them probably. When he turned around the girl had ask him for a lollipop, rather cutely at that. So he rummaged around for one, until he came across something he'd stashed away a while ago. "Here you go sweetheart," he handed the lollipop over to her, "first time anyone asked for one of those after a shot." |

Alexy chuckled "alright, now first things first," he folded his arms and drew his own side arm from the holster tied to his thigh, he showed west the safety, "This is important, safety lock when this is on the gun won't fire, I could explain why. But that's not too important," he points the west's gun "it is to be on at all times unless you Have intent to use it." he looks over at west and folded his arms, "Understand?" |

Westlake nodded, peering at the little safety lock on the G17. Seems simple enough, maybe this won't be as hard as I thought it would be... |

Alexy nodded, "Alright, point it downrange and let me see your form, imagine the target as a most hated enemy," he said walking up next to him, |

[[ I am making the assumption that they've already received their uniforms at some point I hope that's okay vnv ]] Emmanuel was surprised when Westlake simply administered the shots. After yesterday, he had assumed that the doctor would make a bigger spectacle out of it. He swallowed the water quickly and told himself not to look a gift horse in the mouth. As he walked out of the infirmary, he spotted Gene getting vaccinated and offered a little wave, though he didn't stop to chat. Rob has asked to see him in his office, but like hell he was going there without freshening up first. He showered quickly, trying not to so obviously eye up the more muscled guys, and dressed in his new military threads. After a moment's deliberation, he ditched the black tee for his own red tank. He then made his way to Rob's office. He knocked on the door and said, "Babe, it's me." |

Yeah, yeah, I know you've done this a million and a half times. Gene wandered automatically to the doctor to get vaccinated. I know it's nothing special. I know I'm nothing special He nodded absentmindedly as Westlake pressed the cotton ball to his arm. How do you administer half a vaccine anyway? He meant half a million, ya tard! Gene chuckled as he stumbled out of the infirmary, smiling a little at Emmanuel's wave. Now what? He sat, curled up against the outside wall of the building, hoping his consciousness would be kind enough to shut down, just for a little while longer, so he wouldn't have to endure the agonizing minutes of emptiness waiting. |

Abby smiles and spun around gleefully with her lollipop and ran out the door. Already dressed and told by some of the female bunk mates that breakfast was on the road, Abby brushed and plaited her hair before climbing onto the roof, her lollipop in her mouth. She lay in the morning sun enjoying watching the hustle and bustle of the base in the morning. |

"So many to chose from," Westlake quipped. Carver's face came to mind, and then Weaver, and a series of others all the way back to- he didn't really want to go there. A face appeared in his mind, long and drawn with ruffled white hair and a thin string of beard. His eyes darkened, and he flipped the safety off. He lifted the gun- hand shaking just slightly and his other hand half clenched in a fist- and pulled the trigger. Despite expecting it, the loud bang noise surprised him and he stumbled back a step. He looked at the target, he hadn't expected to hit it, but he did, just barely, nicking the far left edge of it. His tipped his head sideways with a squint, "Is-Is that good? That was good, right?" --- Rob startled at the knock. He was just a tad jittery, unsure if it was because he was ansty over speaking with Manny or if it was from their pending trip to the city. Because people died there, he'd lost a lot of friends and a lover to the city, and it was Manny's first time going. Anything could happen. He wondered if Manny slept well, or if he were up all night wondering if he was going to die today. He shook his head, shaking himself out of thought, and called the man in. "I was thinking," Rob started with a little blush, hoping that he didn't stupid or rehearsed, "That, since this is your first time going to the city, that it ought to be commemorated. So I got you a thing." He lifted the little potted flowering cactus, and held it out, "People are always worried, on their first time going. But I'm confident that you'll do really well in the city, and you'll come back to look after it." It wasn't exactly the speech that he'd laid out in his mind, or as profound as he was hoping it would be, but he hoped his point was made. |
