Kristen stood her ground for a moment, her saber clenched tightly in her fists. The first of the water beings approached and she slashed at it. Her blade broke the surface tension of it's watery body, spilling water all around. She didn't wait to see if her solution was permanent, backpedaling away from the puddle, turning in stride and taking off in a sprint. Branches grabbed at her uniform, tearing it away in several places. She resisted the urge to use the blade in her hand to slash her way through, fearing it would compromise her position. Liz Hanson "Captain...what the exact fuck is that?" Liz asked, hand on her phaser. |

ON: Away Team | Planetary Surface Having a tight grip on Jenna's hand, Joseph had taken aim at a water being that was slopping its way towards them. He had set his phaser to the highest possible setting without overloading it and depressed the firing button. A satisfactory sensation of heat hit his hand as the beam of near coherent light leapt forth from the end of it. Barely a second had past before it struck the creature and evaporated it in to a fine mist. Hoping the shot would be a permanent death, Joseph allowed himself a small grin as he fired again. As the Marines would say it was a target rich environment. However he knew he only had so many shots with it before the sarium krellide power cell was drained. Holstering the phaser he activated his personal cloak with his wife, both still holding tight to one another, yet neither being able to see the other. As they made it a bit deeper in to the woods he spoke softly to Jenna "Should we go up? Get a height advantage on them?" keeping it so low that he knew only she would hear it. His eyes had searched for any sign of the others, figuring they had cloaked as well. His senses kicking in only to barely pick up his mother. OFF: TAG: Jenna |

Kristen took a moment to stop and take stock of her situation. She had no weapon other than her ceremonial sword, her dress uniform was now tattered, and all she could do was hide. The white of her dress uniform jacket was warm, but easily visible. Given the choice, she could handle being a bit chilly to being easily visible. She took the jacket off and tossed it one way, then moved the other way, as quietly as possible. This is just like Koliath Kristen reminded herself, although it's darker, chillier and water thingies chasing me and not the Banor. During the Battle of Koliath, a Banor air defense battery had managed to do what their pilots never could, downing Kristen's fighter. After she ejected, she spent the better part of a day running mostly naked through the back woods 200 kilometers south of Starbase Leatherneck. A team of Marine Special Operators, including her friend Colonel Ben Pierce, finally extracted her under fire. Such an extraction here was probably unlikely, but Kristen decided not to give up hope on her pilots making SAR flights. She headed towards high ground, where she would be able to take refuge and possibly prepare a signal for rescue. |

Kira looked around, she was out of breath and frustrated. Without her telepathy she felt blind and a little lost. Kira jumped when she heard a twig snap behind her. She whirled around to see Kevin but he didn't see her. She hit her cloak and shimmered into view. "Kevin" she whispered holding out her hand. "Ma'am" he said taking her hand. "are you okay?" he asked. "Yeah, we need to cloak and find the others." Kira whispered. He nodded and activated his cloak. lowering his eye piece he activated it so that he could still see Kira while cloaked. Kira did the same and looked over at him. "Let's make for higher ground that would be what Jenna and Joseph would do." she said keeping her voice just above a whisper. Kevin nodded and held her hand so as not to lose her as they started up the mountain side. Kira held tightly, she didn't want to lose him or the comfort his touch brought. At least she wasn't alone now. The brush was thick, as if no one had been to this particular part of the woods ever. They had to be careful as they moved, stealth would be of the essence so as not to leave a trail for the creatures behind them. She wasn't sure if they where still following them or not but she didn't want to hang around to find out. As they moved through the woods she took note of a few things, all they had where phasers except Kristen, who had just her sword. They had no rations or fresh water so those would be a big issue. They had no way to warn the ship not to send anyone else, and if she remembered correctly and she was sure she did, it got quiet chilly on this planet after sun down which wasn't to far away. The only technology on them was the cloaks and head sets but the head sets weren't even allowing short range transmission so contacting the others or the ship was out. They also needed safe shelter. All these things they lacked at the moment but hey she had been in worse situations. Her tail flicked back and forth in agitation. This was NOT how this was supposed to go. They where supposed to be making friends, getting more resources to help recover from the Banor War and now here they where running from more people who would mean to hurt and take advantage of them. As Cam had a look at what Lela was refering to, He had a very nasty feeling about this especially with the way the water was moving. He had a look at the scans that Lela had taken as well before looking at her. "whatever this thing is, its definately some sort of alien thing. At no point is the forcefield to be lowered. I will say this though Lela, you say that thing came out of the wall just like that, keep someone guarding it and let me know of how it reacts and stuff. We still have no way of contacting the away team but after feeling a sharp pain from Abby earlier, this thing could be linked to whats happening down on that planet. Don't ask me how, but I just have that feeling. Im gonna go through the info I dug up on the beings Kira and the away team was going to meet again cause it could hold some answers." |

Abby quickly set her phaser to kill and started firing at the beings not caring how many she hit then after activating her cloak she high tailed it with her medkit to the woods without looking back to see if anyone was following hoping the others were heading there "~ok priorities are the others, shelter, rations~" rations were a little hard on an alien world but they had their tricorders to assist, shelter and maybe heat was a little easier the phasers would heat the rocks and the camping trips her father had insisted his crews go on might help with shelter as he didn't allow modern Starfleet issue shelters they had to make their own which she loathed and of course the war games against Worf, Picard and the others they went on"~if I get out of this I'm buying my dad and Kira ancient camping equipment and maybe suggesting to Kira she follow dad's example~" in battle the higher ground was always best when she was able to stop Abby quickly scanned for the others with her abilities before moving on just incase the beings detected it. Abby didn't want to admit it but she was worried about the ship and wanted to disable what ever was preventing them from contacting it tag all |

Liz Hanson Liz's commbadge chirped and she stepped away. "Go ahead" "Ma'am," Lance Corporal Allen said, we may have a way to cut past the jamming." "How?" Liz asked. "All communications between the ship and the away team go through the ship's subspace communications systems. What if we bypassed those all together?" "Bypass the comm system?" Liz asked. "We have a VLF radio system here. it's a spool antenna mounted on a pod. To get through the atmosphere a fighter would have to be flying low, no more than 3,000 meters, but if it had enough power applied the commbadges would still pick it up." "That's brilliant. Fit it to 105, Stand by for further orders." Liz said. "Lela, did you catch that?" TAG Ship |

"Alright, here's the plan," Liz Hanson said, the 10 pilots of Satan's Kittens squadron huddled around her. "I am going to carry this transmitter and try to find our missing away team. One and Two Flights will man their ships and fly Top Cover. 3 Flight will take two runabouts for extraction of the Away Team." "Ma'am, won't you have a wing man?" Flight Officer Nettles asked. "No, can't risk the interference with the system." Liz said. "I'll be trailing the antenna behind my ship, I'll have to divert all available power to it, you'll be making sure I don't get slagged." She ordered. "No other questions? Mount up!" |

The flight deck doors opened to space, and the seven fighters and two runabouts accelerated away. Liz banked her fighter around. Veroto hung in space at an odd angle, making Liz wonder about the viability of it's orbit. "Runabout Leader, analyze Veroto's orbit for stability." She ordered. "Standby, Kitten Leader." The pilot said. A moment later, the pilot's voice returned, "Although the ship's attitude is off for a standard orbit, her orbital pattern is stable for the moment." "Acknowledged. Continue on Mission." She said, angling her ship towards the planet's atmosphere. Her ship shook slightly as it encountered the outer layer of the atmosphere, and the hull began to glow as it heated from friction. After a few moments, the flames subsided as she slowed to below 4,000 miles per hour. "Two flight, runabouts, hold at Angels 80. One Flight, circle at Angels 50. Kitten Lead is going to the deck." She called, rolling her fighter into a dive. At 5,000 feet, she leveled off and made a high speed run over the away team's last known position. She was counting on the noise of her pass and her ship's formation lights and glowing afterburners to attract their attention. At the end of her run, she lowered her flaps, extended the wings to minimum sweep, and activated both the flaps and air brakes before putting the ship into a flare maneuver to bleed airspeed. Slowing to subsonic speeds, Liz leveled her fighter and retracted the flaps and air brakes. She banked through a 180-degree turn and began reeling out the antenna. "Kitten Lead beginning transmission." She said. As the antenna stretched back away from the ship extending out more than 300 meters, Liz shunted power from her shields and weapons into the transmitter. "Admiral Phaserman, this is Kitten 105, Do you copy?" "Kitten 105 to Commodore Frost, do you copy?" "Commander Locktight, this is Kitten 105, do you read?" "Captain Hardfighter, Kitten 105, do you copy?" "Colonel McQueen, this is Kitten 105, do you copy?" She tried keeping the emotion out of her voice as she repeated the calls. TAG |

Jazmyn Hardfighter She couldn't breath, it felt like she was drowning. She tried to reach out to her mother, to her sister, to anyone that could mentally hear her but she found that she was being blocked. She didn't understand what was going on. She could see, feel, and hear the creature using her body. It was uncoordinated, as if it didn't take a host very often. She tried to poke into the creatures conscious trying to remember the teaching he mother had taught her growing up. She wan't telepathic, not like her mother but she had developed some sensitivity over time thanks to her teachings. It was these lessons she used now. She was fighting hard, trying to reassert her mind. The being was pushing her down trying to suppress her. The battle of wills was just starting. Kira Phaserman Kira knew the best option was to head up the mountain. Water froze, mountains where cold at the top, she hoped the further they got up the less likely they where to pursue. She hoped the others would have the same conclusion. With Kevin by her side they made their way through the rough wilderness. Lela Hardfighter "Yes try and see what you can do" Lela said hoping they had someway to get through to the team. "Cam, start a search, this thing appears to be alive. I want to run some tests on it. Make sure there are no more on the ship" she ordered staring at the being as it swirled and moved in the force field. TAG ALL |

Philip Locktight Philip slipped out of their quarters and headed to the jefferies tube where him and Steve hid the serum with something to wipe all evidence of their prank from the medkit, with the ship in crisis mode a hungry vampire wasn't a good idea "just hope Steve isn't listening to my thoughts" Philip put the serum back into the medkit and wiped it clean then tried to scan the ship trying to figure out why it was in crisis mode no one told them anything but then they were just kids, he was also worried about his mother and the others on the planet Abigail Locktight Abby was still heading up but paused quickly to double check her medkit to see how many packs of blood were in it seeing 3 "~well at least Kira, Jenna and Joseph will have something to sustain them for about a day unless they ration it~" Abby also checked to see if there was any sign of the others but given the terrain she couldn't see any, the blood packs gave her an idea though, something to help Kira, Jenna and Joseph find her every so often she left a drop or two of her blood on a tree as she headed up tag all and sorry used an idea of Stephanie Meyer's |

ON: Away Team | Planet Surface | On the run Having been running, hiding and in general trying to escape from these creatures for what seemed like hours, Joseph was beginning to tire. He growled louder than he had meant to before looking around. He still had Jenna's hand in his, unable to see her thanks to their personal cloaks. At the moment they were up in a the canopy of a copse of trees. However that would only provide cover for a short while before the things decided to try and come up. Whispering as softly as he could Joseph looked in the general direction of Jenna "What the hell... We are better than this..." growling softly at that point. A moment later his comm badge chirped and a bit of static came through. =/\=....Frost.... 05....copy?=/\= was all that came through for him. He growled a bit as he whispered "At least someone is trying..." however before he could say much else, the scent of blood was starting to waft towards them. He tried to think as he sat on the branch before he whispered "Would they know?" squeezing Jenna's hand as he asked. OFF: TAG: Jenna OOC: Best I could think of doing lol. |

Liz looped around again and began repeating the radio calls again, trying not to let frustration seep into her voice. Growing restless, she radioed to her wingman. "106, 105. Grab someone on your wing, get low and get fast.Make sure even the trees jump up and dance." "Roger, 105." From above, two of the fighters dove for the ground, then screamed below her at several times the speed of sound. Condensation formed along the shock front created by the ship's supersonic passage through the air, blurring the sterns of them behind a white hemisphere. The two fighters made repeated high speed passes, occasionally looping around to make opposing runs past each other. "Come on, Come on. Someone has got to here us." "109 to 105, want us to drop bombs to get their attention?" "If you can find a place that won't likely kill our people?" Liz said sarcastically. "Well, there is a pond near the landing zone. If we drop one in there, the explosion will make noise but the water should keep the collateral down." Liz thought a moment. "Do it." She ordered, desperate for something to give a result. 109 dove in and released a pair of photon bombs. the two bombs exploded sequentially, sending a column of water dozens of meters into the air, and sending a shockwave into the woods. Cam nodded to Lela as the very bad thought and feeling He had before was indeed true. He hurried back up to the bridge and to his post as he started to bring up the info He had dug up and looked through earlier. Once He did, He started a complete search of the search for anything relating to these things, after seeing how the water moved in such a way, He found something. The beings that the away team had gone to speak with were in a sort of water form or being as it was. This made Cam think that the water that had come through from the wall was related to the beings as it was, but how did it get through to here onto the ship was the next question. it might have been something when he felt the sharp pain from Abby earlier telepathically. The thing that did get Cam though was what he found next, which was the fact that the beings needed water to survive, this was probably why of the pain He felt from Abby, it may have been them wanting the water from their bodies. It sounded crazy to him at first but He could not think of anything else at the time. the away team was in very big trouble and they needed to find a way of stopping these beings one way or another. =/\= Cam to Lela, I have something and you wont like it at all, I just went through the info once again and found out some things, these beings are made of water and I feel the water that came out of the wall down there may be related to them in some form or another. I just have that feeling which is why it moves in such a way. Plus these water beings always need water to survive, they may have probably tried to sap the water from the bodies of the away team earlier when we felt the sharp pains earlier from them. It sounds crazy I know but I can not think of anything else at this point in time, we have to find a way to stop these things fast before they injure any of the crew as it is. that bit of water may be telepathically linked to the beings down on the planet as well. =/\= TAG |

Kira Phaserman Kira sniffed blood in the air, she couldn't be sure if it was a trap or not. They had inhabited her daughter. There was no telling if they had access to her thoughts they were after all Telepathic. Then again it could have been Abby, she did have blood packs with her and could be leaving the vampires in the group to her. She was torn. Without her telepathy she had no way of knowing what was going on. She was frustrated it felt like a piece of her was missing. She felt helpless in a way she hadn't felt before. She had always relied on her mind and abilities taking them for granted because they where always there. Now without them she felt like thwoing her hands up in the sky and giving up in frustration. "I smell blood" she whispered to Kevin. "Could be Abby leaving a trail, could be a trap from the beings. I have no way of knowing, thoughts?" she asked, TAG Kevin Jenna Kilmore She smelled it too, the sweet scent of blood in the air. It wasn't fresh, it smelt processed. "Could be Abby, it smells like blood from a bag." she said. "Then again these beings are telepathic and they have possesed your sister, if they have access to her mind they could be leaving this trail as a trap. If we climb the trees we can get a better vantage point, but we risk exposing ourselves to the beings if they are hot on our tails." Tag Joseph Lela Hardfighter =/\= You really know how to make a girls day Cam, I would rather not think these beings sucked the water out of our people. These beings could be the reason for the communications black out mental and electrical. If that is the case we need to find what ever is blocking us electrically and take it out.=/\= Lela sighed. =/\= Veroto to fighters, change of plans do a full sweep find out what is jamming us and take it out. We also have an intruder on board so becareful we have no idea how they got on board so keep your shileds up and don't fly to low they are water beings.=/\= Lela Lela turned back to the being in front of her. With her telepathy blocked she had no way of contacting the being in front of her, it was water and didn't seem to have a solid form so she doubted it could talk to her and she wasn't to sure she would let it out of the containment field anyway. =/\= Hardfighter to all hands, all stations red alert begin a ship wide search for intruders. =/\= Lela hoped she was doing the right thing here but deep down she had no idea. Commanding men in battle that was easy. Being in charge of a starship where the lives of men, women, and children hung in the balance that was an entierly different thing... she wasn't sure how her mother did it every day. TAG |
