Relativly speaking, time was a straight line. Starfleet had strict rules governing time and travel to it. One small thing could change the course of history forever altering life as they knew it. There was the belief that each decision each moment in life creates an alternate time line, one in which you made one decision and the alternate time line in which you had gone the other way. If that where the case there were an infinate number of time lines. Time travel could merge two time lines or create and entierly new one. Time travel and it nueancues where enough to give anyone an head ache but some people devoted their lives to studying such things. Space, well it was vast, sprawling out all around them, most of it yet to be explored. With endless numbers of galaxies and light years all around it was easy to feel so small in their relativly small little area and while the Federation had 100s of planets and spieces it was still just a small little section of space...... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kira sat in her quarters, glancing down at the picture in her lap she let the tears fall down her cheek. Her fingers touched his face tenderly, how she missed him so much. Gary Phaserman, her husband, he was supposed to be her life mate. They could have lived together for 100s of years. He had made her so happy, feel so alive. Now, she was left alone with nothing but the stark reminders of their short life together. "Mom?" Lela said gently sitting beside her. She glanced at the picture and understood. "I miss him too." she said wrapping her arms around her mother. "We all do" "I know" Kira said sniffling a little. "I just thought I had more time with him." "I know" "John has lost his father, all my children lose their fathers too soon." Kira said looking back down. "I know, but hey at least I got mine back now." Lela said trying to lighten the mood. "Yeah" was all Kira said she shrugged her daughters arms off and got up walking to the window and looking out at the stars. "It should have been me, I have had a long life, and I am so tired of all the loss" "Mother you can't mean that, you are important to so many people, loved by so many we need you. " Lela said getting up and coming to her mothers side. "I need you" she took her mothers hand and placed it on her pregnant stomach. "You're right of course." |

Jenna watched her daughter sleep for a moment great-full that the child took naps. Walking out into the living area she went to her desk and sat down. The chief intelligence officer was tired. She was tired of always running around. Tired of staring at reports, going on missions, working undercover. She was tired. being alive for 100s of years would do that to you though. She had seen and done so much. She was jealous of her husband, still so young and knew to the world. There was so much he hadn't seen or done and watching him learn and grow into who he was, it made her happy, kept her going. At that moment she had a job to do, her job on the ship. Yet at that moment there was nothing she wanted to do more then to spend time with her family. It was odd, Jenna had never considered having a family before. Yet here she was, a wife and mother. It blew her mind. She sighed and buckled down, knowing full well that she had to get this done. The time for family would be later. Her husband was on duty, her child was asleep, she got up and walked over to the replicator, ordered herself a strawberry milkshake, picked up a book and sat down to read. She would do her work later. She was a vampire after all she had all the time in the galaxy. |

Jazmyn sat a cross from him, he would be leaving soon back to whatever it was he had to do. They hadn't spoken in months, yet here he was and she didn't know what to say. Part of her wanted to go to him, take him in her arms, forgive him for everything and make it work.... The other part of her wanted nothing to do with him. She wanted him to leave and never come back. There was to much anger and pain between them. She didn't know how they would ever recover. She sat there silently watching him what did you say to the one that you were supposed to love when the love just wasn't there. Could they find it again? Like they had all those years ago on the fearless? She couldn't be sure, and that left her feeling very alone. Her heart ached, she wanted him more then anything, wanted what they had, wanted the love but the time and distance had taken it's toll on them both. He wasn't the same man and she sure as hell wasn't the same woman. She had taken Alexis and walked away from command because Alexis needed her mother more then that ship had needed her. She had begged Praxis to step down, to let someone else command the marines but he had refused. It was at that point that Jazmyn had known that his work was more important then his family and she just couldn't deal with it anymore so she had packed up and took her daughter home. The Veroto wasn't the usual home but in a Starfleet family she supposed it was the closest thing to it. She had more family on this ship then anywhere in the world and Kira may not have always been the most attentive mother growing up she had always been there when her children truly needed her. Jazmyn knew she couldn't leave Starfleet, but she knew she could cut back and that was what Alexis needed. "So" she finally said trying to break the awkward silence. TAG Praxis |

After leaving her mothers Lela headed for her office on the Marine deck. With Kevin being promoted to Chief Engineer it had freed her up to do her actual job. Which was hard enough as it was considering she was due any day now and felt like a beached whale. Mostly she spent it with the paper work and training trying to free up the Colonel anyway she could. She didn't mind doing all the scheduling and all that at least it kept her busy. She still did PT but within her limits that Abby had set for her. Lela was not about to let herself go just because she was going to have a child. She walked off the tubolift and nearly ran into him. "Danny" she said breathless. "What are you doing here?" she demanded. She hadn't seen him, rather she had been avoiding him as much as possible, which was easy since she knew the ins and outs of the ship and was damn good at hiding, she should have realized he would be on the Marine deck should have searched out his mind to find out where he was before she went anywhere but she had been thinking of her mother and what she had said. Looking at him now her head ached she felt like all the air had been punched from her lungs and her stomach twisted in knots. She hadn't seen them since the big fight they had at leatherneck. He had said somethings, she had said somethings none of which could be taken back. Lela ran, her sister had told her that she was headed to the Veroto and Lela had jumped base and came back home. Now he was here, in her home, invading her space. He was here and she wanted to be anywhere else. TAG Danny |

Praxis looked at her, then caught a glimpse of the picture behind her. Their wedding day, Praxis in his dress uniform, Jazmyn in her beautiful white dress. Kira and Gary standing on either side of them, smiles ear to ear. Praxis stood and walked to the picture, picking it up. For a monent, memories flashed through his mind's eye: The wedding, combat deployments, reunions. The sound of the saluting canons firing three volleys, the riderless horse with boots backwords in it's stirrups trotting down the Valderan street. "He'd probably kick my ass." Praxis said, setting the picture down. "Jazmyn, What do we need to do? To fix us?" |

Jazmyn watched him for a moment. "I don't know Praxis, can we fix this?" She got up walking to his side. "We've been through hell, fought so hard. Our daughter is almost 10 and I feel like I barely know her. She's growing up right in front of us and where have we been? Focused on career and the war. Our family fell apart and neither one of us did anything to fix it." She sighed. "Is it even worth saving do you love me anymore?" Tag praxis |

Praxis wrapped his arms around Jazmyn. "I do love you. And it is worth it. You think I flew dozens of light years because my little brother needed me to hold his hand? I came out here for you. For our family." |

"Any other Field Grade officer would be facing a court martial for using that attitude with me. God you're lucky you are cute and that I love you." Danny said. "I was actually on my way to see your mother, to formally report in." He said, holding up a padd with his orders. "You can come along, if you wish. You could even use the turbolift for a change instead of the Jeffries Tubes." |

HVMS Conquerer Mirror Univserse He sat in the dark, looking out at the stars through the window of his quarters. His name was Jarul Fignarigto. He was the Emperor of the Valderan Royal Empire, a throne held by his father before him, his Grandmother before that. He was, overall, the 17th monarch in a dynasty that stretched back centuries. Next to him on the bed lay his sleeping wife, the Empress Kirsta Fignarigto. The Emperor looked to her, peacefully sleeping away the night, and considered her beauty. She, like him, was in the middle age range for Valderans. She had, Jarul thought, aged far better than he had. The battleship HVMS Conquerer, Vorla'Jak in her crew's native tongue, slipped quietly through space on the edge of a war zone. Jarul understood the importance of his presence to the warriors of his empire: They swore their lives to defend his kingdom, the least he could do was leave the safety of his palace and visit them, reassure them their sacrifices were noticed, and that they were loved and appreciated not just by their families at home but by the man who commanded them to fight. That fighting troubled him. In his 260 years he had fought many wars, often as a fighter pilot. Most of them he felt were noble fights worth the blood and effort. This one, though, troubled him. He held no particular ill will towards the people of the Federation. They had once been allies, nearly a half century before against the Dominion. But, as with most democratic societies, changes in government over time lead to changing alliances. The new Federation government had brokered a deal with the Tyderians, working out a mutual protection pact in secret. When the Tyderians annexed a small outpost, Jarul responded as the Valderans always did, with brute force. That retaliation triggered the mutual aid agreement and thus a declaration of war from the Federation that left Jarul stunned, angry, and feeling betrayed. Only through skilled negotiations had he managed to keep the Klingons and Romulans neutral, although the price was losing contracts to build new Birds of Prey for both. Kirsta awoke and rolled over. "What is it this time?" she asked. Jarul not sleeping well was a common enough thing. She knew he frequently suffered nightmares of combat, like she did. Though he rarely admitted it, she knew he also suffered from spinal injuries he sustained during a crash landing. "Just alone with my thoughts, love." He said. She stood and wrapped her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulder. "come to bed, love." She said, hoping her lack of clothes might intice him. He would have, too, had the Comm not buzzed. "Your Majesty, please report to the Bridge." the ship's Captain asked. For him to request the Emperor's presence the situation must be serious. "On my way." Jarul said. Kirsta was already pulling boots on as he turned. "Yes, I know. Don't say it." She said, reaching for the closet to grab one of the wrap dresses that she wore frequently. Jarul pulled on his uniform, and in a moment they were in the corridor, then stepping onto the bridge. "Report, Captain." "Your Majesty, we have encountered some sort of spacial disturbance. It didn't register visually or on sensors. In fact, it only registered once we had been pulled in. "The Kritak and Vorla'mal?" Kirsta asked. "We've lost contact with them, my lady." "Find out what happened, issue a distress signal. Raise shields, and sound Action Stations." Jarul said. "You realise, this close to enemy lines a distress signal will give us away?" Kirsta said. "I know. But we just lost two ships to unusual circumstances...." "Sir! We are being hailed!" "By whom?" Jarul asked. "Starbase Licentia, My Lord." "That's impossible, that station was destroyed eight months ago!" TAG all JP HRM The Emperor Jarul HRM The Empress Kirsta. |

ON: Bridge | U.S.S. Veroto Joseph sat on the bridge in the Captain's chair studying incoming reports and trying to keep his mind off of the fact that almost everyone on the ship was putting out enough sad vibes to make a Vulcan cry. Inside he knew he would much rather be in his quarters with his wife and daughter. They had been back for a few months now yet it still felt like they were apart, thanks to the way the shifts had been. Reaching up he rubbed his face before standing up and moving to the replicator on the bridge. He ordered a tarkalian tea, and once it materialized, he poured a bit of blood in to it. Just as he took a nice long sip of it, a console chirped with an ensign speaking "sir. We are receiving a garbled distress call. It's federation but I cannot tell what ship.." Looking up from his tea, Joseph took another sip and walked over to the console. After checking the ensign's findings he nodded as he tapped his comm badge "Bridgr to Admiral Phaserman, we are receiving a distress signal. It's Federation." OFF: |

"Bridge to Admiral Phaserman, we are receiving a distress signal it's Federation" "Understood adjust course to intercept maximum speed I'm on my way"Kira said hitting her com badge. Kira got up and threw on her uniform then headed for the bridge. It took her a mere few minutes to arrive she caught site of Joseph. When she made it to the bridge, Joseph was near the helm. He had his foot resting on the lower part of the console as he leaned forward. He watched as the signal grew closer. Looking back to his mother, Joseph spoke "Admiral, the signal is still pretty garbled. We are less than a light year now. Sensors are picking up a ship venting drive plasma. She appears dead in space. However we are still not getting a damn thing from their transponder.." "Close to transporter range, are you picking up any life signs?" She said moving over to his side. The ensign on the helm did as she ordered. Slowly Joseph stood up straight and spoke "there is some strange special disturbance in the area that is hindering sensor accuracy. I am picking up what seems to be almost a dozen escape pods. They are moving away from the ship at point one c... Listen than one tenth impulse.." "Get a lock on all survivors and beam them a bored, medical teams to the transporters" Kira said than headed for the turbo lift, "let's go see who we rescued" she said to her son. Joseph relayed the orders to all necessary departments before heading to the turbo lift. Once on board the lift he spoke "transporter room one." Making the lift move. Turning to his mother he spoke softly "hopefully the captain is still alive so we can find out what is going on... I didn't think Prometheus class vessels were in this area though.. They primarily stick to ds 9 and sector 001..." "Agreed with the Veroto Class out now they are a little outdated" Kira led the way off the turbo lift and down the corridor to the transporter room. It was crammed with people bustling around. "May I have your attention please" she called over the noise. As everyone settled down Kira continued, "I am Admiral Kira Phaserman, commanding officer of the USS Veroto. Anyone in need of medical attention please see our Doctor all others please check in and we will get you assigned temporary quarters." Almost everyone who was from the other ship froze at the exact moment she said her name. A few whispers could be heard as people starting doing double takes before a very familiar voice spoke up, laden with exhaustion and guilt "no. You can't be her. She died almost ten years ago..." Joseph furrowed his brow, recognizing the voice, yet not able to place it. Looking to his mother he stepped up and spoke "I assure you she is quite alive. Come forward and see for yourself" "I assure you..." Her voice trailed off when she caught sight of her former lover/first officer "Jonathan? What the hell are you doing on that beat up Prometheus class? Last time I saw you, you were off to your brand new refit ship and on the other end of the Federation on a Banor clear out." Kira was confused. It was Jonathan but he looked different, older and more weary from the last time she had seen him it had only been a few months. Jonathan stood up, but only with the help of two ensigns. It was obvious he was injured as he stared at her "no... No this isn't right. You are dead. You died at the hands of a Jem'Hadar... I watched it on sub space!!" He started looking around "this isn't going to work you piece of shit Vorta!!" Joseph furrowed his brow and stepped forward "dad what are you talking about? She's not dead. She's right here!" Causing Jonathan to stop shouting. Looking back at the young man he whispered "Dad? ...Joseph? Is that you?" "Jonathan the war with the Dominion has been over a very long time. Don't you remember?" Kira moved forward and took him from the two ensigns. She caught a whiff of him and froze. He was human, fully human. This was not her Jonathan. "Joseph get me the medical kit" she said then mentally 'he isn't our Jonathan, he's human' Joseph froze a bit and looked at his father before reaching for the medical kit that she asked for. Jonathan in the meantime shook his head "no. No that's not right. The dominion took earth after they destroyed Romulus and Quo'nos. I have to be in some dominion internment camp... You're dead. I watched you and our baby die at the dominions hands..." Joseph came up to her and spoke "here's the med kit mom..." Kira pulled the knife from her boot she supported him with one arm and gave him the knife with her other then presented her arm to him. "Go ahead, I am no shifter" she said. Jonathan furrowed his brow a bit and took the blade. Quickly he sliced her arm and inspected the blood, holding the blade in a shaking hand, as if ready To kill her. "Satisfied?" She asked then nodded for Joseph to do the same. Once that was done Kira took the med kit and withdrew the tricorder. She began scanning him frowning at the read out. "Lacerated spline, liver, four broken ribs, fractures to your spinal column it's a wonder you are still alive. Abby should be able to fix you up. Then we can talk more" Jonathan shook his head a bit as he stood there. The rank pips on his neck, though covered in soot, showed him to be the same rank as her. Adamantly he spoke "my people get treatment first. If you dominion assholes want me to play then at least heal my people.." "Jonathan Frost, you will be going to see the doctor right now everyone will be treated, fed, and treated like a member of the federation. You can also take your rank and shove it. My ship my rules and if you argue with me again so help me god..." She leaned in right next to his ear and whispered. "I will stick my tail where the sun don't shine" He froze a bit as he stood there. The last bit no one ever knew about. His cheeks turned redder than Klingon bloodwine as he looked in to her eyes. It was the first time he noticed that her eyes were different as well. "I am not your Kira Jonathan but I am Kira. Trust me I will care for you and your people you are safe. Now to sickbay with you we will talk later" she said softly. One of his ensign's as well as one of the Veroto's medical team took him by the arms. As they pulled him away she could see tears brimming in his pale, ice blue eyes. Joseph moved closer to her and spoke softly "that's not dad... But.. It is..." "I know Hon we will get to the bottom of this I promise. See to the guest accommodations and needs I need to speak to some people about this" Kira turned and walked out of the room heading directly for her sickbay. First up was to make sure Abby knew about Jonathan and that she was to keep this under wraps second she needed to make sure her Jonathan was okay and third was to find out what the hell could be happening her gut told her things were about to get a whole lot worse before they got better. Kira walked into sickbay right behind the human Jonathan. She grabbed Abby and pulled her into her own office. "I need a full work up, that man looks like Jonathan Frost, smells like Jonathan Frost hell I even think he is Jonathan Frost but he isn't my Jonathan Frost. Find out who he is and where he has been, he is going on about the Dominion." With that Kira left for her ready room. TAG ABBY After leaving Abby she went directly to her ready room and placed and encrypted subspce transmission to her Jonathan telling him to phone home immediatly. TAG Jonathan |

"Cute?" Lela frowned, "I am not cute!" she snarled, "And I haven't been using the tubes" she said indignatly. "I am a telepath I just know how to avoid you, and since when are we on speaking terms? Not a word from you in months and then here you are?" she grabbed the PADD and looked at it, "Oh and suddenly you are just back, just like that? Does my mother even known you were able to worm your way back on to her ship after you you ran off to go galivanting with the Marines, couldn't leave me alone follow me everywhere? What don't think I can handle myself!" Lela was raging, her hormones and her pain boiled over in pure rage. "You can't go on that mission Lela it's to dangrous, oh sure you can stay with 1SMU but I'm pulling you from active duty cause youre pregnant. I'm Pregnant not crippled!" she growled her tail swished back in forth and her ears where pinned back her teeth where slightly bared as she raged on. Her fists where balled up tight and the klingon ridges on her forehead seemed to stand out even further in her anger. Danny seemed to forget sometimes that Lela was Klingon-Romulan-Bajoran-Kntarian-Vampire. Anger was born into her. Lela also didn't realize that while she sat there yelling at her husband the other Marines where starting to poke their heads out wondering what or who rather the Marine Executive officer was shouting at this time. "You and your rank don't scare me Daniel Hardfighter, go ahead and court marshel me" Lela brushed passed him and headed for her quarters. TAG Danny |

I lost you in the noise, in the day to day. I couldn't find you, couldn't feel you. I have felt so alone for so long." she brought her hand up to touch his face running her fingers along his cheek. Captain Kaylee Crimson With the war over Starbase Licentia was finally able to start rebuilding. Which was a good thing considering that Kaylee wasn't sure how much more of a beating they would have been able to take. The Valiant was safely back with them after spending so much time on the front lines, Kaylee was glad to have them back. Alicia's son had been driving Kaylee crazy. At almost 10 years old he was an opinionated little snot just like his mother and an adventurer like his father Sean Miller SR. Kaylee's daughter wasn't that much younger at 9 years old she was a force to be reckoned with. Her mothers suductive, fighter spirit and her father diplomatic abilies and smarts no one could possiably hope to win in an argument with her, in fact Kaylee rarely won and she was her mother. The two had been friends since they were infants and where inseprable. So when Alicia had to go to the front lines it was only natural for Kaylee to take her best friends son into her home. They had each lost their husbands when the Mjolnir had been destroyed and they had remained close even now. Kaylee sat in her office going over the repair scheudal. "Ma'am we have a ship in coming Valderan" her yoeman said popping her head in. "Understood make room for them and patch them into my office." Kaylee said. |

Abby had been in her office staring at her 1st wedding photo, the one with just her and Steve in it Philip was being held by her dad she hadn't wanted to wear her dress uniform with it but a short, sleeveless teal dress but her mother had insisted on the uniform but Abby got her way with her 2nd wedding the one to Cam well her mother didn't have much choice in the matter since it was in hers and Cam's quarters, prior to finding out she had a brother in-law of course. Abby touched Steve's face "why didn't I insist you delay boarding the Budapest, things might have been different" this was an old argument for Abby, one that not even Cam knew about but then Abby had been getting better in blocking everyone out since their last mission "Get a lock on all survivors and beam them aboard, medical teams to the transporters" "you heard her, I want all triage teams except Alpha to the transporter rooms that's receiving the survivors, we'll be using the other sickbays" Abby couldn't wallow anymore, not with injured being beamed onboard Kira walked into sickbay right behind the human Jonathan. With that Kira left for her ready room Abby was slightly confused but went out to treat the man that looked like Frost "Admiral Frost welcome, don't worry you're safe" Abby scans him with her tricorder "the Admiral was right you're not her Jonathan Frost" Abby looks towards her alpha team " ok I want a full work up on him, including DNA we might have his DNA on file if not then use Commodore Frost's DNA, they're father and son after all also get Mason in here I'm going to be a little busy treating the other injured" tag |
