Chi looked around the small area. The Whispering Ocean lead of into a small area similar to a lake because the water came from the ocean. But this water was pure from Chi. She tried her best to make the water drinkable and refreshing for animals and humans alike.
Diving down, the young girl was so bored. She couldn't move anywhere else or go anywhere because of the barriers keeping her closed in.
The fish around swarmed her and made her giggle with a smile. Her dull eyes looked around as she touched the creatures. They were smooth and shined in the warming sun.
Going to the bottom, she sat there on the smooth rocks and dirt that lined the bottom and watched as waves of light moved around, making the rocks glitter. If only there was someone else that could be here as well.
The animals began to run away as a new person approached the area. Excited, she quickly jumped out of the water to greet this new person.
"Hello, Stranger! Welcome!"

Bradhadaire moved slowly and lethargic-like through the trees. She hadn't been here before, this was her first time traveling so far from Moonhaven. She was young, had just turned eighteen in human years, by the next year her Elven years will kick in.

Bradhadaire wasn't full Elven. Her father had been a shapeshifter from Dwin'emar. She and her parents had been traveling to Dwinemar when they had been attacked. Her parents had been killed, and she was severely wounded. Shifting to her animal shap would only cause her wounds to bleed more, instead of healing them. Her wounds carried the poison from the attackers daggers through her body. She was weakening. If she didn't find a healer soon, she will surely die. She knows some healing herself, but as with most Elves, is unable to heal themselves and have need to seek another for healing.

Bradhadaire staggered out of the trees to a sparkling lake. She briefly wondered which lake it was. She hadn't never heard of it. As she started to step forward, intending to drink from the lake, a small child fairy floated out of the water and toward her. She barely heard the fairy welcoming her, before she collapsed to the ground, her conscious fading as the fairy came to her side.

"A-are you okay?" Chi saw there was poison in the wounds, and she quickly put her hand on the older girl's shoulder. She began to get light headed as the healing took it's effect, and the poison was slowly removed from her blood stream. Chi shook her head and tried not to fall over this time. It had been so long since she had met another person here, and she wanted to know where the person had been.
"Are you alright?" She asked, but the girl didn't reply. Chi thought she was just unconscious and would wake up soon. With a small smile, and stumbled to the water, and fell right in. It hurt to heal, but it made people happy and earned her a nice story from the outside world, so it was worth it to her.
"I'll be here when you wake up." She said under the water.

Bradhadaire's eyes fluttered open. The first thing she noticed was that the pain she had previously was gone. She felt tired, but as she looked herself over, she noticed the wounds were haled. "How? Why?" she looked around as she whispered the words to herself. She then remembered the fairy child who had approached her before she had fallen into the darkness of her mind.

She looked toward the water. She hadn't made it very close to it before she had collapsed. "Child?" she called out softly as she rose to her feet and slowly made her way to the water's edge. She knelt down and began drinking from the water, as her eyes closed. The water was crisp and cool.

Bradhadaire opened her eyes as she drank and suddenly stopped, her eyes wide as she jumped back with a startled yelp. The Fairy child was just beneath the surface of the water. "Er, Hello?" she said as she sat on her heels and waited.

Chi opened her eyes and looked at the girl drinking from the water and smiled. She was finally awake. She quickly swam up and stood on the surface of the water, smiling to the girl.
"Hello, Stranger, how do you do?" She asked in a light but childish voice. Would this girl here treat her to a nice story? Chi was hoping so.
"You must be wondering how you were healed so quickly. I did so after you fell unconscious, though I'm not feeling so well now..." Chi sighed and shook her head when she was beginning to grow dizzy again.
"But I'm glad you're awake!"

Bradhadaire peered at the child Fairy as she came up out of the water and edged closer. She didn't look well to Bradhadaire. "Many thanks for the healing." she said softly as the fairy looked more unwell as she had moments ago. She seemed to be growing sickly at a fast rate. Bradhadaire thought she knew why too.

"You healed my wounds, and obviously purified the poison that ran through my veins, but by doing so, it seems you have pulled the very poison within your own body. Lie here beside the water." she said softly. She rose to her feet, then headed into the woods at a fast run, searching for the proper herbs she will need. If she wasn't quick about this, the fairy child could die. Her body is so small and frail, she'd never make it through. She found the traveling pack she had dropped on her way through and picked it up.

After quickly gathering the herbs, along with some wood to burn, she ran back to the water's edge. Piling the wood, she then created a spark of fire within the wood pile. Reaching into her pack, she pulled out a very small cauldron like pan. She gathered some water from the lake, and set it upon the fire, adding the specified herbs.

After she boiled the herbs, she mashed them and extracted the liquid from them, then created a tea-like drink, pouring it into a small cup. She moved beside the Fairy child, handing her the cup. "Drink all of this, it will dissolve the poison and purify your system." she said softly. She was in this child's debt, she had to help her. Bradhadaire couldn't allow someone who had taken it upon themselves to help her, die due to their kindness and helping Bradhadaire. Even if she wanted to turn away and not help this child...she couldn't it wasn't in her nature to do so.

Chi blinked and watched as the girl worked with the cauldron, trying to make something to save her. It was true, usually there aren't people that come with poison in them, so she had never dealt with the substance before. It hurt though, that's all she could think about as she began to hallucinate. Was this what poison did? Chi wouldn't know. What kind of thing was this? It hurt so much as it ran through her small body. Chi gasped as a searing pain went through her chest.
"Ow! It hurts!" She cried, tears pouring from her dull eyes. Chi had never felt so much pain like this.

Moving closer to the Fairy child, she placed an arm under her head and lifted it so she could drink from the cup. "I know it hurts, but you must drink this. This will take away that pain." she said as she placed the cup to the child's lips.

Bradhadaire's healing magic wasn't much, but she did know herbal healing. Her mother had been teaching her the Healing Magic, and now she will never finish her training.

Chi let the warm liquid seep down her throat, and the burning sensation began to die down, but still lingered.
"Thank you..." She murmured, coughing a little from the horrible tasting liquid. "I don't think I want to feel poison again...that was the first time." Chi looked up and noticed it was also about to rain.
"You might want to find shelter soon. A thunder storm is here." She smiled. Chi wanted a story so badly, but the girl needed shelter from the rain, and she could not pass the boundaries.

Bradhadaire gave the girl a smile. As he child spoke of a storm, she looked up to the sky. Indeed the clouds were darkening and rolling in fast. Looking around, she found an extremely large tree not far from where she had collapsed. The tree wasn't exactly a part of the woods, it was closer to the water than any other. It sort of looked oddly out of place with its' sheer massive size and the closeness to the water.

Bradhadaire stood and went to the tree and examined it more closely. She knew the storm was coming in fast, but she had some time. As she circled the large tree, she raised a hand and tapped on the trunk. It was hollow inside. 'Now why would a massive large tree such as this, be hollow and yet 'alive'? The tree still is growing.' she thought to herself.

With a final shrug of her shoulders, she began chanting in her elven language. The only outward signs of anything happening to the tree, was the forming of a door. When finished she gave a smile, turned back to the fairy child and motioned for her to follow her. Bradhadaire then slipped inside the large tree.

Inside the tree, it appeared to be much bigger than the outside showed it to be. It was very spacious, and complete with a small window looking out over the water, and furniture...crudely made but comfortable nonetheless. Chanting again, she created a small hearth complete with a warming fire. She went to the lounge seat she had created and sat. Blankets were folded on the chair beside the lounge. She took one of the blankets, then took a seat on the lounge just as a loud booming could be heard in the sky outside the tree. Glancing out the window, the sky was nearly completely dark. The rain was just starting to fall. Lightning lit the sky. "Come inside. Tree is close enough to the water that if you need to get into the water fast, you would be able to." she called to the child.

Chi nervously shook her head, knowing that was the tree that kept her from going anywhere.
"N-no! I can't! I'm a water fairy, I can deal with rain!" She spoke nervously and tried to avoid it. That tree destroyed every hope of her going outside and exploring the world, but many people used it to camp in, and she couldn't destroy it. Her magic wasn't strong enough to do so.
"I'll be fine."

Bradhadaire peered out the window at the fairy child. "Suit yourself. I shall be here if you have need of me." she replied to the child. Bradhadaire was curious though. The fairy child had seemed afraid to come inside the tree. She wondered why...but for now there was nothing she could do, as the storm began getting fierce outside and the fairy child stepped into the water.

Bradhadaire got up and closed the door, then went back to the lounge and continued to peer out the window. The lake water was extremely choppy from the wind. The rain poured down in torrents. It was bad out there, and she began to worry about the Fairy child.

Bradhadaire might be a shifter, but she had never learned to shift into an aquatic animal, but that didn't mean she didn't wish she could. Had she been able to, she could have joined the fairy child in the depths of the lake. It wasn't long before she began dozing off. Her earlier ordeal had left her very tired.

She hadn't dozed for long when she heard a loud crash outside her tree home. Jumping, she was quickly fully awake. She peered out the window, but was unable to see anything. It was pitch black out. The noise continued. It sounded as if something very large was crashing through thew woods. The rain still poured down, thunder intermittent between the extremely loud crashing sound and the lighting of the sky.

Bradhadaire tried to see to the lake water, but it was too dark. She only hoped the fairy child was safe.

It felt like there was an earthquake under the water. Something was stomping above Chi, and she swam up in attempt to see. When her eyes went above the surface, she could see nothing. Even with the flashes of light from above, she could see nothing. Seeing as though everything was fine, she dove back under the water surface and went to the bottom of the lake, where it was calmer than the raging surface above. Chi tried not to think about earlier. The tree was dangerous, and she couldn't go in or past the tree. The lake was her home, and that's how it would stay.
The booming sound and the underwater earthquakes sent her tumbling around the bottom, and Chi became annoyed. She went back up and stepped out, only to have a human like hand wrap around her neck.
A scream pierced through the air.

Bradhadaire had no idea what the sound was, aside from the booming of the thunder. It was eerie though. It did her no good to peer out the window, it was too dark to see anything. She was able to see brief shadows when lighting dashed across the sky. She thought she had spotted the young fairy child, but she couldn't be sure.

It was the scream that got Bradhadaire up and out the small door. She ran toward the water's edge. But, she felt she was too late. She didn't see the fairy child anywhere. She tried calling out to the child. Then the flash of lightning lit the sky again, it was then she spotted what she could scarcely believe. There, dangling above her head, was the fairy child, held in place by an extremely large hand. Not one of flesh, but one of bark.

The very tree she had chosen to sek safety from the storm in, had coming to life, reaching out its' branched arm, and grasping the fairy child by the neck. Bradhadaire stood staring. Unsure what to do. It was something she had never seen or encountered before, nor had she heard of anything like what she was seeing but, she did her best to think fast. She raised her hands slightly, a soft glow emanating from them.

As she peered up at the child and her captor, she chanted in her people's ancient language. Suddenly, from her hands lightning much like what was streaking across the sky, arched upwards toward the very tree she had taken refuge in, searing through the hand-like branch that had held the child dangling. Bradhadaire watched as the child began dropping toward the water.

Turning her attention back to the live tree, muttering another ancient chant, the tree began shrinking back to its' original form. It wasn't a permanent solution. She had only been able to put the tree in a sleep-like state for a short time. She would have to seek out a permanent solution. She turned back to the child. "It's not permanent, but you are safe for now." she told the child.

Chi could barely speak, her throat was bruised from the tree's grasp. Her breath came out raspy and short. The tree that had kept her locked up was seeking it's revenge. But how? The tree had never come to life before, and it had never moved an inch the whole time Chi was here. Did someone put a spell on it, or was it naturally brought to life?
She couldn't tell.
