China has announced the expansion of her Electric vehicle industry. BYD auto has started construction of 10 Automobile plants, Chery will build 4, Chang´an will build 2, and DFM 2. These plants, when completed, will boost our manufacturing capacity of electric vehicles up over 1.5 million cars per year, and will provide jobs to thousands. Thanks to government subsidies, the ZX40 is well within reach of the average customer, and it is expected that sales will take off with amazing speed. Thanks to those subsidies, people would only have to pay approximately 3,000 USD for a ZX40, and with the trade in of another gasolinecar, could even pay zero USD for one. |

China has enacted a new tax on cigarettes. Each cigarette will be taxed $.05 , and the money will go directly into the Governments budget. Cigarettes bought per year in China: Average of 1,791 per capita Estimated population of 1,345,837,512 1,791 * 1,345,837,512 = 2,410,394,983,992 cigarettes smoked per year 2,410,394,983,992 * .05 = $120,519,749,199 Over 120 billion dollars is to be raised in funds due to this tax. We understand this tax will lessen the amount of smokers, and that is a good thing, it will lessen healthcare costs the people have to spend on smoking related ailments OOC: Average cigarettes per citizen taken from nationmaster |
