If you are willing to pay for half of it and it's maintenance as well as running costs, we can agree to this. Considering the area it is located is very close to the Korea-Russia border it is perfect. It will be quite similar to the LHC particle accelerator. The total believed price for the KOREA Center is $6.8 billion USD. For each run is believed to cost around $550 million USD. There will be 5 detectors, 2 of them are large general particle detectors, 1 will study quark-gluon plasma, another will study dark matter and antimatter, and the last is actually two in one which will both study total cross section, elastic scattering and diffractive processes and astroparticle physics (which is two detectors in itself). All involved in the construction cost and a part of the running cost. If you agree, you will also half pay for any maintenance and repairs. All research will be shared between our colleagues but cannot be released elsewhere without consulting the other beforehand. |

OOC: Thanks for the spot lardlad. IC: Singapore has armed 200 soldiers with the new systems to test them out while the other equipment for the remaining forces are produced. Any problems found in the systems can be repaired easier the earlier it is caught. The system will be tied into Singapore's aircraft, vehicles, ships, and all her command systems to allow forces to fight as a single cohesive unit. |

This is very doable. The money is wired now, and resources and men will be sent in the coming months. |

Each candidate attends the first Korean Election Fair in Seoul where all of government and ordinary people can come to converse and talk about issues. This is in effort to bring a sense of direct democracy to Korea. Each candidate, throughout the day, took their turn to speak about what they would do for Korean and their other concerns, opinions, etc. Chung Dong-young of the United New Democratic Party spoke first. "Thank you all for having me here, and I thank my party for again putting me up for candidacy and pulling your support behind me again. First of all, the United New Democratic Party has been around for quite some time. And for just as long, we were the primary party for the Republic. We went through good and bad times dealing with our territory, North Korea, and our economy. I come to you today, with Korea finally united, to say that it is time for Korea to go back to it's roots and dig up the traditions we have long left behind. We are a new Korea, and we will show the world how great our can be. We will be that shining beacon of freedom, and a clean one at that. Democracy! Peace! and Unity!" =====+===== Lee Myung-bak of the Grand National Party spoke an hour later. "It is a fine day for Korea, and an even finer year. Our economy is through the roof, our nation is finally united, we have grown closer to those we thought were once our enemies, and we have shown the world that we do back down to those who slander and threaten us. And all of this was done during my time in office. And I will continue on this trend, I will continue making Korea what it should be, a powerful nation to set an example to the world. Under my authority we have grown a larger and mroe advance military, we have earned a slew of new allies, and we continue to work for the benefit of all mankind. Tradition, morals, and friendship; I will keep this promise I have done before. I cannot and will not let my country down, we will forever grow more powerful." =====+===== Lee Nu-taeo of the Socialist Party spoke on the next hour. "My fellow citizens, the world is entering a new age. Threats lie everywhere, and we cannot trust all of our friends. Look at what Turkey has done and has said about our great country? What about the US and their arrogant attitude at us for following our morals! We as a civilization have been at the bottom. We have been crushed by Mongolians, lost our historical lands from the Manchurians, enslaved and occupied by the Japanese, and used as a buffer by the the US. Was North Korea bad, did they oppress their people, did they become ignorant and arrogant like much of the world has, yes. But we will no longer take this treatment, we will no longer be a second class nation. I will bring Korea more schools, better healthcare, a stronger security, and will reduce unemployment to 0. I will bring equality to all of Korea, to every minority and give them just as much power as the majority if not more! We are united, and Korea should stand and rebel against the nations who oppressed us over the centuries! We will take back what is ours and we will stand up to the vile and corrupt nations that pollute this world. All who oppose us will be wiped off the face of the planet, obliterated. For Korea!" =====+===== Moon Kook-hyun of the Creative Korea Party spoke next. "What my fellow candidates have said before me is just proof to me. Proof that they are blind and ignorant. The world is not at peace, but what sense does it make to only add to that? None, I say. My people, Korea should be the knight in shinning armor for a world that would otherwise collapse without order. I will make demands for peace, and I'll make Korea a symbol for peace. We need to fight for humanity, for individual rights, for democracy, for earth! I will focus on following our long-held motto, and truly benefit all of mankind. I find the current situation with Turkey atrocious and will quickly end the embargo and do my best to repair relations. I will give jobs to the north, and bring unemployment to nothing. I will make Korea a leader in high tech, clean industries, and force our nation to drop carbon emissions to as little as possible. I will focus on education, health, welfare, environment, and our glorious economy for which we have plenty to share with the world. It is time to end this cold blooded relation we have with the world we inhabit and it is time for Korea to make that first step to world peace!" =====+===== Kwon Young-ghil of the Democratic Labour Party spoke lastly in the evening with the sun perfectly setting behind him during his speech. "This is truly a test my fellow Koreans. A test for Korea, a test to us, a test to our might. One speaks of unity, another of overbearing socialism, another of impossible unity of all mankind. Let me warn all of you, they are one-sided fools. Why can't Korea, a nation and civilization that has gone through so much, not work to do it all? Why can we not strike a balance? Well, I'll tell you why. No one has tried, none of our previous leaders were brave enough to attempt balance. This is Korea, this is the Republic of all republics. We are a powerful nation, and we will continue to be one. We will lead by example, and I can promise to increase education, healthcare, welfare, and reduce our unemployment significantly. I can promise the once oppressed northerners jobs, education, and a bright future. I will increase our strength abroad and give Korea a military worth a second look if not a third. I will make Korea a clean nation, and will boost our economy two fold. I will fight for the common man and the uncommon man. I will fight for equal rights for everyone. I will stop the violence, slander, ostracizing of Korea's minorities, like the Muslims, Japanese, Malaysians, Singaporeans, Vietnamese, Thais, the gays, lesbians, transgenders, artists, environmentalists, whites, blacks, capitalists, and conservatives alike!" He chuckles. "I promise, and believe me when I say I will keep my promises, to make Korea a place where the world wants to be. A place to do business, to have a family, to live your life. I'll make Korea a tourist haven, a socialist and capitalist paradise. I will fight for humanity, animals, and plants! I will fight for peace, but I will not hold back to defend our great nation; nor will I stop an assault on an assailant like the Turks. I will reach to make more friends, and I have a goal to try to unite the Asian continent, even if that does mean denying the US their precious PTO members. Korea is not a puppet, I will not be like President Myung-bak who comes with his tail between his legs up to the Americans and begs for forgiveness. If a nation dislikes what we do, we take it like the strong nation we are and we move forward. I will fight for Korea's might in this world and will have no problem expanding it. I also plan to bring China and Korea even closer, they are our closest and mightiest neighbor, and the first step to uniting this glorious continent. The world is not at it's end, because Korea is not done with it. For the Republic! For the Korean people!" =====+===== The fair continues for another month. This might be the biggest battle for control of Korea yet. Each candidate carries something new with them and what might change Korea forever. Foreign nations are now invited to the fair, and all candidates will answer questions by mail or attend a private meeting. |

Micronesia having aquired a large portion of the Spratly Islands, has authorized a small dock facility to be constructed. Pacific Fuels will operate a gas station here as well as a repair service for ships in the area. The remaining land left, will have small huts placed on them and fire pits for beach camping and small grills, picnic tables, and outhouses will be there for visitors to use. A small shack will be built near the dock facility where visitors must check in since they will be crossing national boundaries. Fees of $5 will be charged to foreigners unless they are Chinese, Taiwanese, Filipino, or Malaysian. The fees will be used to ensure the beaches, campsites, and water remain clean. |

The vertical farming system has been decided upon. Two of the buildings will be created in Cairo, with construction beginning next year. Chris Jacobs, Andrew Kranis, and Gordon Graff have been hired to head the project. They are currently briefing the Egyptian construction firms on useful information about the construction. Since this will be the first of it's type in the world, it needs to be done right, so a lengthy planning stage has been planned (one year, remember?). The tax breaks have already shown a small decrease in food prices. It is expected that by next year the prices will have dropped the full amount, greatly helping consumers. Groudbreaking has begun on the massive canal project. President Hosni Mubarak, alongside many government officials (including Dr. Abdul Azim Wazir), made the groundbreaking on the project that will revolutionize Egypt. |

OOC: Rises in food prices as well as food shortages (if I remember correctly) are plauging Egypt, and the best way to stop food shortage in Cairo would be skyfarms, and the rest of Egypt to irrigation project in the Qattara Depression. |
