-Cane Zhivute has pledged to reduce his personal carbon footprint and government expenditure by promising to use video-conferencing technology except where directly asked to attend personally or for matters of extreme secrecy. All other employees in the Public sector are encouraged to do likewise.

Oceania Heavy Industries has reported its tenth vessel being completed at her shipbuilding facilities in Weno. The freezer trawler marked as the tenth vessel was contracted to the Pohnpei Tuna Company to serve in their fishing fleet. OHI has also launched its own major line of power tools ranging from tractors, to saws, to hammers, to drills, and most other power tools. The Federated States of Oceania has proclaimed itself as the successor for the Federated States of Micronesia. The new name better represents its trans-regional geography. It has also commissioned a new flag. The twelve gold stars in the corner represent the former twelve nations making up the country:

The Federated States of Micronesia
The Republic of the Marshall Islands
The Independent State of Samoa
The Republic of the Fiji Islands
The Republic of Vanautu
The Republic of Kiribati
The Kingdom of Tonga
The Republic of Nauru
The Republic of Palau
The Solomon Islands
The Republic of Niue
Tuvalu

The stars arranged in a loose cross formation on the right represent all of the nation's former outlying territories and uninhabited islands that are now a part of the country. Elections have also been completed picking the new leaders for the start of 2015 and the official first year of the country. The day of commemoration and official day of the country's formation will be January 1, 2015.
