Well, at the moment we are planning ahead, so that in the future our Station may act as a "Space Shipyard" a Far Out Concept, but something that is also smart considering our goals of reaching Mars, and the Moon, and opening up the Solar System to Colonization. |

DRDO engineers are currently working on the blueprints and expect to be able to begin hull work in a little over a year. Production will be in blocks so that changes and additions may be made as designs evolve. |

This gathering of Turkish allies is to show support for Turkey in her time of happiness. We would really hope that our moment of celebration will not be interrupted by two of our guests shouting profanities at each other in front of our President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the Parliament, and members of the Turkish Parliament. We sincerely hope that an exchange of harsh words can be avoided. |

First years totals will include all 14 F-16B and 36 F-16A, cost will be 435 for the first year. OOC: Costs were provided by the wiki, and I used an inflation calculator. As well, the ones that are the 15II or 16II are merely two-seater upgrade packages, I just want them to be seperate... |

Project Cloud has started **Classified** Project Cloud, a New Project in the information Sector of the LSU is beginning as the Government, and several Computer Companies begin to develop a New System of Satellites that will act as Centralized Super Computer in Orbit, and transfer Data to User Terminals, which will allow for Extremely Compact User Terminals, and a more streamlined approach to computing, albiet less sophisticated than todays machines. ![]() In a cloud computing system, there's a significant workload shift. Local computers no longer have to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to running applications. The network of computers that make up the cloud handles them instead. Hardware and software demands on the user's side decrease. The only thing the user's computer needs to be able to run is the cloud computing system's interface software, which can be as simple as a Web browser, and the cloud's network takes care of the rest. In Cloud Computing there are two sections the front end and the back end. They connect to each other through a network, usually the Internet. The front end is the side the computer user, or client, sees. The back end is the "cloud" section of the system. The front end includes the client's computer (or computer network) and the application required to access the cloud computing system. Not all cloud computing systems have the same user interface. Services like Web-based e-mail programs leverage existing Web browsers like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Other systems have unique applications that provide network access to clients. On the back end of the system are the various computers, servers and data storage systems that create the "cloud" of computing services. In theory, a cloud computing system could include practically any computer program you can imagine, from data processing to video games. Usually, each application will have its own dedicated server. A central server administers the system, monitoring traffic and client demands to ensure everything runs smoothly. It follows a set of rules called protocols and uses a special kind of software called middleware. Middleware allows networked computers to communicate with each other. To Service such a System, Each Satellite is required to have 1,000 Terabytes of Memory(1,000,000+ Gigabytes), on top of a Network Link with the Main Hubs that will be setup in locations around the World that will have a 400 Peta byte. A Peta byte, which is 10^5 Bytes will allow nearly endless storage within the foreseeable future, with each user that is networked into the service to have this. With this, nearly every Software Program known to Man, and Piece of Data can reside on the Cloud Network. The Biggest Problem however is designing the Super Storage Computer<->Orbital Computer<->End User System Links. However, due to the Economic Benefits of such a system, Foreign Companies will not be allowed to know, or invest in such a system, as it could potentially bring in hundreds of billions of dollars in revenue even if the Yearly Charge was only 100 Dollars, or something of the sort. Considering it would most likely be decided based on the country, the average cost in say, Africa would be 1 Dollar Yearly, with LSU Citizens who pay taxes getting it for free. |

Singapore's government is eager to regain the massive economic explosion that was occuring before the recent recession began. Openin new areas to development which will have high value for being within the country, recent construction projects and works to become self-sufficient, and broadening the allowances for Singapore citizens to tap into the special government funds for expanding their businesses and beginning new ventures. (Singapore allows citizens to pull money from social security and retirement plans if they are buying property or expanding their business. I'm loosening restrictions for expanding business.) New government projects to increase independence and increase exports while boosting the infrastructure will hopefully bring back the 8% GDP growth and 5% population growth of the early 2000's. |
