Denmark works to close several large ongoing projects within the country before embarking on any new ventures to improve internal infrastructure. Firstly the Kárahnjúkar Hydropower Project in Iceland is set to be completed next month and opened adding 690 MW of clean renewable power to the grid. Stockholm will also have its new electronic toll systems put in place to improve traffic patterns during peak hours, reduce congestion, and saving large amounts of fuel. The world's largest nuclear powerplant is also being worked in in Finland and hoped to be put online soon to remove much of the energy dependence of fossil fuels. Plans to use several government pension funds including the Norwegian Pension Fund from oil profits numbering $325 Billion are underway to develop a post-petroleum economy for the area. Copenhagen has opted to cut $9.34 Billion in aid usually sent overseas in favor of keeping the economy afloat at home during these hard times. This brings government revenues well over $115 Billion of its expenses providing a huge income to better the nation. Editing... |

President Carlos Ortiz finally made an announcement concerning the defense and military of the Caribbean Dominion. He has chosen his brother who is a fellow politician from Cuba and a former military adviser to Raúl Castro before he died. Alexandro Ortiz has been chosen to be leader of the military; Chancellor of the Caribbean Military. As his first order, he has made it a set goal to make the Caribbean Navy one of the best and has set forth to do just that. He has also reorganized the military and has talked with President Ortiz about conscription at the age of 18. The bill is still being discussed in the Royal Assembly. A mandate was also set by Chancellor Alexandro, stating that in two years, the Caribbean Military active personnel will be doubled; reserves tripled. As of yet, he has not mentioned any feelings on the expansion of air force and army equipment. Although, he has stated that there will be a set mandate for both of them as well as creating a special set of brigades made for defense purposes only. |

OK, this is how it will be for buying tech and stuff. - Nations will be a lot less eager to sell you plans to top knotch stuff, meaning it forces more player to player negotiations, or research on your own. Face it, you might not be able to get top knotch stuff, and will have to setlle on something lesser.. |
