Copenhagen has begun to create new measures to help increase revenues. Firstly, taxes across the nation will be leveled. Taxes across the nation will be left at an even 50%. All benefits will remain intact and will be available to every Dane. Secondly, a tax of $2.50 is placed on every carton of cigarettes, oil will have an additional $0.05 tax added on per US gallon, the tolling systems within Stockholm are turned on (we hope to get these in every city soon), and plans to cut unecessary jobs such as extra superintendants, certain government positions, and crackdowns on workers who are paid by the hour slacking on the job are all going into effect. (Like when you see fifty guys working to repair a highway and three are working and it takes them weeks to patch a street.) Studies from the toll trial period recorded $102 million in income from the tolling systems in just Stockholm, and 20-25% reduction in pollution and congestion to roadways. New Recent Funds: Cut Overseas Aid - $9.34 Billion New Tax Rates - $59.07 Billion Cigarette Tax - $4 Billion (Assuming 10% decrease in sales and consumption) Gasoline Tax - $914 million Stockholm Tolls - $102 million |

Denmark has revised her order. With 100 missiles delivered, we'd like to cancel the other 900 and place a new order for 1000 RBS-15 Mk. IV's. |

Following Trends As a total of 6,053,977 smoke in the Emmerian Empire, a new tax of .10 is levied on all cigarettes. This should greatly help revenue, and sponsor local projects. |

Gay Marriage Legal! With significant homosexual communities across the Empire, Emperor Serra has executed an Imperial Decree declaring all homosexuals have the same rights of hetero's, including equal pay, discrimination protection, and the right to marriage with equal benefits for partners. A small boost in the economy should rise due to the weddings taking place. |

Denmark has approved her Norweigen, Greenland, and Danish oil companies to begin full drilling off Greenland's North-East and Western Coast. Global warming has increased ice-free days in these areas to 180 as opposed to 150 twenty years ago and the world's need for more oil has driven a new interest there. A US Geological Survey in 2001 estimated 110 Billion barrels of reserves while seperate surveys caculate 50 Billion off the West coast and 34 Billion or so in the North-East area. While producing this oil will be expensive due to the environment in where its located, $45 or so a barrel, demand for oil remains high and the cost of drilling it is going down with new technology and receding ice levels. Copenhagen has allowed for full force drilling and has agreed with Greenland to use much of the oil profits to help the Greenlanders develop their island and live more comfortably. http://www.businessday.com.au/business/tha...80327-21uo.html |

Assault Weapon Ban Modified Citizens across Emmeria may not purchase a semi-automatic assault rifle. However, they may only purchase 5.56 calibers, and all .50 BMG remain banned from civilian use. However, police are now being qualified to use the M107 so they can take out target efficiently and in shot to prevent further casualties. |
