You Illegally Boarded, Seized, and Arrested our Sailors, and Ships within what is legally defined as International Waters, within the Micronesian Inclusive Economic Zone. You sir were pirating, no doubt about it. |

OOC: This is supposed to be an economic thread... IC: Another turbine is set up off the coast of Weno. Full recycling programs are fully instantiated in the FSM and materials are being reused for other purposes and waste levels drop. Waterfronts have been cleaned up under the beautification fund and the airport has been repaired and expanded to handle heavier international traffic and conduct more tourist flights. Port facilties continue to be built near the Korean ports and the FSMDF 'bases' are organized. Fisheries built along the coast have begun breeding endangered species selling them off as high price pets and releasing 1 out of every ten specimens to help replentish natural stocks of them. Commerical fish are also being farmed in large netted off zones. |

The Chinese government has passed the following civil rights bills, in an attempt to create a more welcoming and less oppressive society: - Same sex marriage is legalized, making china the first asian country to do so. The law is widely praised and is boosting national pride in the country, for being so open to ideas. Naturally small demonstrations and backlash is felt, however it is not even close to the overwhelming support for the bill - Minimum wage is raised $.10 - People may no longer be executed for Political Ideals, or Tax Fraud - All arms trade to Sudan will cease. - Censorship of media is relaxed. One independent news station will be granted permission to deliver news to the nation. - Word censorship in online chatrooms will end - Communist part members may now practice a religion, options include Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism - Discrimination of work based on religion is forbidden |

OOC: A new house is coming up down the street from me and they are in month 6. The outside is complete but the inside remains to be "liveable." In terms of a megahotel? Cannot be done. Building a house is one thing. But building a CEMENT and STEEL building takes forever. You must lay the foundation, the put in the reinforcing bars. They buildup the walls. You could build a frame of 10 stories in about 4-6 months (and even then, that's FAST). Once that's done, you have to put in the walls (unless your gonna just have one room per floor), windows (unless they'll be open to the elements), wire the ENTIRE building, put in plumbing, elevators, etc. That's about a year (provided your workers are working around the clock, 7 days a week and your cement dries within 6 hours...which it won't). |

OOC: He is fine with his current construction. The Philippines have a lot of people who do a lot of manual labor for relatively cheap. And it can take about a week to finish a home with a good amount of people and materials. Have you ever watched "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"? If it is a DIY project, your going to take a fucking long time, but a massive government project like this is easily done with as many people as the Philippines have to offer; let it go. If something like this comes up again, USE THE OOC SECTION! |

- The bill to legalize gay marriage passed in the National Assembly today. Even though war was raging to the north, the South Koreans mostly rejoiced from the news. Although people in more rural areas are creating heavy debate over its passing. - PASCO, Hyundai, and the RoK government has finalized the planning stages of what they are calling the 한국어 총알 (Hangug'eo Chong'al) "Korean Bullet". The following plan includes a main route between all major metropolitan regions running through any major cities in between, a Busan-Seoul express route, and two potential extensions for the future. Route layout: ![]() Orange: Sa'u-seu Ru'teu (사우스 루트) South Route Red: Busan - Seoul Ru'teu (부산 - 서울 루트) Busan - Seoul Route Green: Jeju Tong-geun Ru'teu (제주 통근 루트) Jeju Commuter Route (Planned extension) Blue: Pyongyang - Seoul Ru'teu (평양 - 서울 루트) Pyongyang - Seoul Route (Planned for after second Korean War) The entire network will be governed and maintained by the Hyundai Commuter Company created jointly by POSCO, Hyundai Group, and RoK government. The network would also be capable of moving vehicles, and even weapons if the need arises. - A new nuclear power station is planned to be built at the Kori Nuclear Power Plant in Gori. It is part of the extension much needed for the rising demand in Busan. |

Construction of the 2009 section is complete. The 2010 portion has begun and should be finished around mid 2010. The project now includes placing wind and solar generators on all buildings future and present. Solar panels will be built into the construction of future buildings while already built structures will have them logically placed all over said structures. A large wind farm is to be built outside of the harbor. |
