A few men decided that their homeland needed a change. They originally started the diplomatic way, asking their representatives, but that failed. They started the GLC in 2009 to get actual action done, and has been growing in memberships ever since. |

![]() Flag & Imperial Seal Nation name: Japan Abbreviation: JPN Capital: Tokyo National language: Japanese Ethnic groups: 98% Japanese 0.8% Korean 1.2% Chinese National animal(s): the Green Pheasant & the Koi National anthem: "May your reign last forever" Government: Constitutional Monarchy Emperor: Naruhito Prime Minister: Hiroyuki Nakagawa Formation: 660 BC Area: 377,880 km2 Population 2016 estimate: 128 million Density: 338/km^2 GDP 2009: $4,923 trillion 2017: $6,250 trillion (assuming a general increase of 2.7% a year) Currency: Yen Unemployment rate: 3% Imports: Japan is rather poor in natural resources and has to import a great deal of raw goods from abroad. Deposits of gold, magnesium, and silver meet current industrial demands, but materials such as iron ore, copper, bauxite, as well as many forest products must be acquired from outside of the country. Though raw ores are lacking, Japan’s infrastructure does produces a great deal of refined metals which it sells back onto the world market. Exports: To counteract it’s lack in natural resources, Japan has become a world leader in information and technology. It’s industry holds a varied and successful market that includes everything from computers to automobiles to robotics. Secondary, but still very productive, markets include electronics, aerospace, shipbuilding, textiles and refined metalworks. Current Major Projects: Though no official public statements have been made, the Japanese government has indicated that the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency has been given a considerable bonus in funding for the year. ![]() Due to rising international competition, nearly all major japanese automotive corporations have been investing considerable amounts into modernizing and upgrading the industry. ![]() Due to serious pressure from public opinion, the government of Japan is beginning to reconsider several environmental considerations that have been more or less ignored for the past 10 years. Despite the already large number of active research projects and endeavors being developed, resources are going to be put into developing greener technologies, such as biodegradables, clean nuclear power, and hydrogen fuel-cells. |

The Bahamas has founded its Army out of the defense force and also established the Air Force. While equipment is lacking, 5,000 men have been selected to begin military training and be entered into the ranks. Hopefully some American weaponry can be attained soon. |
