Yessss cut prices <3, I mostly care about limbus since I don't pay for dynamis but yay!! They better do a significant drop rate increase, too many empty handed dynamis runs XD.

Actually this is bad for dynamis in the end.

With a much lower price it's going to cause an influx of new dynamis shells and there is already drama over dynamis zones (since they aren't instanced like salvage is) it's only going to make it worse. Even if they increase the drop rate the increase of shells due to a price drop could result in lower pieces for your average LS because they may end up completely out camped on zones if they aren't in a perfect time.

Agreed... They really should have figured out how to instance Dynamis before they halved the price...

Not sure about the whole dynamis deal I mean I've never had to pay for it so the price never effected me. Now that I looked into doing dynamis w/a few shells on Levi you have to pay for those :( But anyways yay for Limbus being 15k that's awesomeness imo.

It may create more shells but if the price is cut to 500k the price of currency should be cut in half too. I know my shell sells currency as the main fund for the runs themselves. So it will either even itself out, or more nublets will suddenly do dynamis.

There's a few reasons that I doubt currency will drop in half any time soon. First, Dynamis is not instanced. The main Dynamis zones are already taken most days at the popular times. Even with an influx of new Dynamis shells, there's only so often that people can do Dynamis. If anything, it's just going to make competition for zones more fierce than it currently is, as Veloxe mentioned. Given this, even with the cost of entry being halved, the actual supply of currency is not going to double (which is the more important factor in its value).

Second, there's going to be a lot more people trying to do Dynamis, especially with the release of the new relic armor for the ToAU jobs. The existing shells are going to grow in members. While this might increase the supply of currency somewhat, it's not going to double (as I stated above) and with more people doing Dynamis, any drop in currency prices will be immediately counteracted by an increase in the number of people trying to actually obtain relic weapons. So while supply may go up a bit, demand is going to go up just as much, which means a negligible drop in currency prices once the economy stabilizes.

Do I think currency prices will go down? Yes, maybe a bit. Do I think they will get cut in half? No. Perhaps for a little while at first while the people that don't understand economics panic, and start low-balling each other, but once it stabilizes, they'll be back up much closer to what they are now.

Just my guess. :)

I honestly believe that prices are likely to go down a bit, probably not by half, but i'd expect to see some relics costing a bit less than 100mil now. At 500k per run, you'd almost be a fool to not just grab a few friends and low man a zone and sell the currency, assuming prices stayed the same.

Again, you are assuming that you could get into a Dynamis zone any time you wanted to. I still think the whole "not being instanced" issue is going to cause zones to be busy a lot of the time. There are already issues with zones being overbooked. I know that during peak times (when you'd have enough people available, even if low-manning one) getting the zone you want (or sometimes ANY zone) can be hard. But maybe it's not as bad as it seems to me. I am basing this solely off of the number of times we've had our intended zone jacked from us during our runs.

If there ends up being no issues with Dynamis zones "capping out" on number of runs possible per week, maybe prices will fall more than I'm expecting. That could cause a much higher increase in supply which would lower currencies' values.

I don't think getting a good time with a few friends would be hard. I mean, a good group of BLM friends could do fairly well for themselves and since it's often easier to co-ordinate fewer people it becomes easier to pick and choose times that larger shells don't go at because of schedule conflicts.

Basically this.

Currently, the only zones that tend to get taken very often during peak times are the outlands, and sandy. Any of the city zones wouldn't be terrible to low man for the purpose of currency, all it would take would be patience among a small group of friends. That honestly doesn't seem to unreasonable to imagine.
