A long time ago, in this very galaxy; hell, this very planet....

A group of kids in the state of Florida were... Okay, screw the Star Wars crap...

Basically, Once upon a time, I was goofing around with my friends coming up with weird movie trailers. (And here I give my example:

In a world where pie reins supreme,
one man will bark the meow of life,
and will forever change course of history.

Anyway, it was really just stupid crap like that. But I came up with an idea for an actual movie...

What if life is just a dream that you wake up from upon death?
What if no one remembered the life they had in that dream?
People die and are reborn as new people, with new memories.
And this process repeats... It becomes a cycle.
What if you remembered the lives you've lost upon death?
What if you became aware of the cycle?
Could you break the cycle?
Could you break the chains?

So yeah... I was really bored, and thinking about life and death and enlightenment (because I had just learned about Siddhartha).

Anyway, please tell me what you think of the idea, and if you want to use it, take it. We could even use this idea section of our forums for a group project. Something we can all write together. If we do decide to tackle a group project, it should definitely be later on, after we've progressed or even finished our current works. But if we do use this section to make a group project, we should all post our ideas up here and then either split up by who wants to work on which project (which might be more fair) or just vote on which project we should all work on together.

Again, please tell me what you guys think.

I like it. I'd totally read it!

I read this book once where this woman died and she came back to life. She was dead like a few minutes and "supposedly" when she woke up she remembered her death experience. This is apparently a nonfiction book, by the way. Anyhow she said that she went to heaven and she was pulled out when they resuscitated her on Earth.

Anyway she said time was different there and in those 3 minutes she learned so much. I don't remember most of it but the one thing I remember was that she learned was that apparently we all start out in heaven. Yup, according to her we all start there, everyone. We are just people in heaven and you mingle and apparently you CHOOSE who your family is going to be and what problems you will have in life. Sort of like a challenge to yourself. Apparently when you die you are reborn and you embark on new life challenges and such.

I don't really believe the woman. I think there's too much bad shit in this world for it to be anyone's choice.. otherwise we have a lot of people with a sick sense of humor. But, I think it was kind of a neat and different concept. Choosing.. your life, your family, your problems, etc. As we complain about those things constantly in our life and here she is saying we chose these things to ride them out.

/end rant. lol

But yes, good idea for your story and a group project in the future sounds neat as we all have such different tones in writing.

That idea of choosing our family in heaven sounds familiar. Like it came up in a discussion with friends or something.

I also remember that I saw something similar to that story in House M.D. Where this guy died for some seconds and said he saw heaven. Then House wanted to do it and tried to stick a fork or something into an electrical socket. I have bad memory, but the episode went something like that.
