Mmm...Betsy made a mental note that bacon went extremely well with Warren's lips on her neck. A fabulous pairing. Certainly worthy of further investigation at some later point in time. She'd never eaten breakfast food off a lover before, but it was certainly an intriguing idea. “It’s a relative term,” said lover assured her, correcting any impression that he had forgotten their morning appointment. “The rescues might have to wait until this afternoon.” Might was a bit of a strong word, but Betsy let is slide. Primarily in order to collect a plate, because everything Ororo had cooked smelled fantastic. The States were sub-par in a great many ways, but the American breakfast? Not sub-par in the least. In fact, a drastic improvement in many ways. “Thanks, ‘Ro. You’re a wonder. Want me to grab you a plate, too, Ali?” Warren asked, already taking one down for her. Betsy helped herself to a few forkfuls of meat while he and Ali procured themselves to some of Ororo's amazing food. Mmmmm. So good. Bets was fairly certain her mouth had just orgasmed. "You are amazing, 'Ro," Bets agreed. While Ali promised their only vaguely involuntary chef her first born in exchange for this bounty, the telepath turned her attention to her beau. A beautiful man who was, at this exact moment, smiling at her brightly. * *That depends,* Bets replied, taking a nibble of her bacon as she eyed him appraisingly. *How do you feel about my eating eggs off of your body?* Warren. On his bed. With edible removeables for her? Yes, that was certainly an image that had promise. |

Listening to ‘Ro and Ali compare notes on the two parties was a welcome distraction from the earlier talk of Scott freakouts and brain meltings courtesy of Jean. Emma’s party did sound quite spectacular, but he’d already had that confirmed last night by Betsy. In several cases they had even included reenactments, to help with visualization. Purely for each other’s benefit, of course. Still, it was always good to have additional testimony, so Warren listened with more than idle interest as he moved with Betsy to fill a plate with the eggs ‘Ro had finished cooking. Then, reaching for a second plate, asked Ali if she’d like him to save her the trouble of getting one for herself. Ali readily agreed, thanking him before taking the plate and wandering over to serve herself some eggs and bacon. The food was delicious, and Warren wasted no time singing ‘Ro’s praises. Honestly, it would have been a shame to have missed out. "They didn't refer to me as a goddess for nothing." she said, clearly pleased by the complement. “God, I may actually live through the morning after all," [Ali] commented, scooping eggs onto her plate after the other two had finished getting theirs. "You are totally my new favorite person ever, 'Ro. You can have my firstborn or something." The promise had ‘Ro offering to let her pay in installments, which momentarily distracted Warren with the fleeting image of a mini-Ali slowly fading in behind a computer program’s progress bar. He shook that out of his mind before he had a chance to snicker or consider its potential adorable factor. Instead, he sent a quick mental question to Betsy about whether she’d like to finish their plates here, just to be polite, or make their way back to the bedroom. *That depends,* Bets replied, taking a nibble of her bacon as she eyed him appraisingly. *How do you feel about my eating eggs off of your body?* Well that settled that, Warren decided. A man could only resist so much temptation for the sake of good manners. *I can’t wait to find out,* he answered, before casually moving toward the door. “I’d love to stay, really, but there’s lots to do, and I really should be going,” he told Ororo and Ali, somehow managing to beam at them apologetically. “Thanks again for the breakfast, ‘Ro. Coming, Betsy?” If they hurried, they’d probably even make it to the bedroom before things got interesting, but if not, he was hardly one to complain. [Feel free to NPC Warren out of the Kitchen in Betsy's next post, if you want, Hayley!] |

Yep, they totally had better strippers. Also a better party in general, she was pretty sure. Of course, part of that was because she provided some of the music, so obviously it would be superior. That was just how it was. Also superior was the breakfast, as everyone seemed to have no trouble agreeing on and which probably had enough cholesterol and calories to last the four of them for the next month, but whatever. Long day ahead, lots of wedding crap to do, people to rescue from vents, strenuous shit. They needed fuel for that. And for Warren and Betsy's apparent post breakfast activities, if all the flirting and banter, and 'We're exchanging porn in our heads' looks flying back and forth between those two. Betsy. So. Lucky. And the two've them were just too damned cute for words. Still, breakfast was awesome, and she owed 'Ro big time. Since she was a pseudo-goddess and all, Ali figured the offer of a first born was appropriate, even if the former singer figured she'd have to wait a good long time for the payout on that one. The figure, she wasn't planning on stretching that out anytime soon. All those clothes she wouldn't be able to wear, it'd be tragic. "No worries, we can come up with a payment plan of sorts." The grin Storm shot her was way too damned predatory for comfort, and Ali's brows shot toward the top of her head. Probably to try to fucking hide. "Well, that sounds suitably ominous, 'Ro," she shot back with a grin. "I'm totally damned awake now." Right on cue, it looked like War and Betts were about to make a run for it. She was so not buying Wings' whole casual thing he was trying to go with there. "I'd love to stay, really, but there's lots to do, and I really should be going," he told Ororo and Ali, somehow managing to beam at them apologetically. "Thanks again for the breakfast, 'Ro. Coming, Betsy?" Now why would somebody leave an opening like that if they didn't want her to take it? It was practically a gimme. Ali snorted, eying Warren with a completely wicked gleam in her eye. "Only if you do it right, War. But then you shouldn't have a problem with that, right?" Winking at Betsy and turning her grin toward 'Ro, the former singer finished off her bacon. Nothing like a little innuendo and breakfast foods to start things off right for another day in X-Land. |
