It should work. Or at least Topaz believed that it should. She'd never tried anything quite like this before and part of her was surprised that she was proposing such a thing at all.

But she really did like Doug quite a lot and it was a puzzle. Usually, she was hard pressed to resist those.

Explaining what she had in mind was a little more difficult, and slightly awkward, but she managed. Or at least the Hindi girl hoped that she did. It would be a sort of protection spell, something to act as a barrier. Not something they would see or feel but that would, hopefully, intercept anything that wasn't supposed to get through. Including this computer type TO virus if an outbreak happened to occur without his knowledge.

It was very nice to know that she could distract him, but in that case the results possibly wouldn't be desirable or at all nice.

"Like a firewall," he replied hesitantly after a moment's consideration and the dark haired girl frowned for a moment. Fire wall?

"No," she began, beginning to shake her head, "nothing should be on fire..." Trialing off as it occurred to her that she might be taking that too literally, she smiled a bit wryly. "I suppose that's another computer related thing? And not an actual wall made of fire?"

Doug seemed a bit distracted, however, as he nodded and she attempted to explain the rest as best she could. Perhaps it would make more sense to him if he thought of it as an invisible bodysuit. A magical version, perhaps, of their normal uniforms that the wore all the time.

She could even cast it so that it would give him some sort of warning if his TO virus did begin to become unruly, if he'd like. It might make him feel better, or more secure in things, she imagined.

"Probably not a bad idea," he admitted with a crooked smile that had her own smile automatically softening. "Are you sure you've got the energy to spare?" he asked with concern, his eyes studying her face. "If not, I should notice before things get too far out of hand."

It was very sweet of him to be concerned. That was another thing she found that she liked about him. He was very kind. Topaz nodded, though, her smile turning to one of reassurance s she brushed her fingers over the back of his hand.

"Yes, I can manage just fine," she assured him, "I wouldn't have offered if I didn't think that I could, or should. And I want you to be comfortable if, well if it's what you want as well?"

If it was, it would be a shame to have to interrupt things unnecessarily and it was easily enough done.

Some kind of mystical firewall. It was the first thing that came to mind, based upon Topaz's description, and he blurted it out before remembering that she didn't understand computer terminology, then looked at her with surprise as she said, "No," and saw that she was shaking her head.

"nothing should be on fire..." she trailed off again, a crooked smile forming that simultaneously sheepish and adorable. "I suppose that's another computer related thing? And not an actual wall made of fire?"

"Sorry," he replied, smiling sheepishly himself, but nodded. No actual fires, just a hopefully TO proof shield. Potentially one with an early warning system built in, if he was understanding her corectly. A definite bonus, but not if she was going to end up too tired as a result. He could do his part and monitor systems, too.

...hmm. Maybe he did use technological analogies a little too often, and the fact they came naturally wasn't exactly reassuring. He'd have to watch that.

She smiled, though, looking warm and reassuring, her fingers tracing over the back of his hand and leaving trails of tingling nerves behind. "Yes, I can manage just fine," she assured him, "I wouldn't have offered if I didn't think that I could, or should. And I want you to be comfortable if, well if it's what you want as well?"

If that was what he wanted...

In response, Doug reached up to cup her cheek with his hand, and leaned in, kissing her slowly, gradually deepening it when he sensed she wasn't protesting. When he finally pulled back, he met her eyes and smiled. "What do you need me to do?" he asked, then grinned a little, sheepishly. "And is there any chance you can summon up a condom? I, umm...I'm pretty sure I don't have any on me."

Pretty sure being an understatement of epic proportions, seeing as he was almost certain the last time he'd owned a condom was about four years earlier. But while he could probably go find one in the medbay, he wasn't exactly anxious to leave his room any time soon. He was just hoping everyone was so busy at the party that they wouldn't knock or barge in.

Right. She was being too literal again. A 'firewall' wouldn't be an actual wall of fire, would it? It was probably something else related to computers.

Topaz's felt her face color a little again, sighing internally. She really should've made more effort to know something of computers.

"Sorry," he replied, smiling sheepishly himself, but nodded as she smiled back herself, shaking her head. No need for him to apologize simply because she wasn't familiar with the same terms most other people would likely know.

Sil would never let her hear the end of it if she knew and would only continue her insistence that she was technologically impaired.

Despite that, she believed that she had a solution to the problem. If, that was, Doug was all right with it. Many people weren't comfortable with magic and sorcery, she knew that all too well. It was even worse now, when there were so few of them left and it was so uncommon. But she could certainly manage if he was comfortable with her doing so. If she didn't think she could, or she was too tired, she would have said so.

His comfort, however, was the chief of those concerns. If he wasn't comfortable, or this wasn't what he wanted, then it certainly wasn't mandatory. There were a great many things they could do that had nothing to do with sex.

In answer, Doug reached up, warmth of his palm cupping her cheek as he leaned in and kissed her. It was slow and sweet, gradually deepening into something a little more as she leaned in toward him. All too soon, he pulled back, however, eyes on hers and smiling. It was a very nice answer, really.

"What do you need me to do?" he asked, and her brows rose involuntarily in at least mild alarm. Oh dear. But then he grinned sheepishly and she couldn't help a small laugh. All right, perhaps he didn't mean those sorts of instructions. "And is there any chance you can summon up a condom? I, umm...I'm pretty sure I don't have any on me."

Well, that was easily enough handled and with another (unnecessary but still appropriately flourishing) gesture, a small box of condoms appeared on the nightstand. Smiling over at him, she asked, "Will those do?" Then, straightening up and reaching for his hand, she squared her shoulders and took a deep, cleansing breath. "Now, I just need you to relax. I promise this won't hurt at all. I simply need to do the incantation. You can close your eyes if you'd like."

Not that it would matter one way or the other, but some people seemed to feel it was somehow necessary.

What did he want?

There was really no doubt involved there, no question. He wanted her. Not just because she was offering, or because she was breathtakingly beautiful, though the latter was undeniable. No, he'd liked what he'd seen of Topaz so far; liked the way she didn't immediately assume that just because his gift involved language things always came out the way he meant them. How despite everything she'd lived through, she could still laugh at something as simple as Drake and Storm dancing with cheerleaders. How she didn't immediately take for granted the idea that just because the agents holding Reed had been "bad guys", it automatically followed that starting them on fire was justifiable.

Over the years, he'd lost some of that...innocence wasn't the right word, but he couldn't think of the right one. That she'd managed to hold onto it seemed as miraculous as the fact she had a magical solution to a technological problem that had been plaguing him for years.

Instead of answering directly, though, he cupped his hand over her cheek, let his fingers stroke over her warm, soft skin as he leaned in and kissed her slowly. And managed, almost, not to be surprised when she leaned towards him, deepening the kiss. When he finally pulled back (far too soon, but hopefully not for long), it was only to ask what she needed him to do. Were there preparations she'd need to make? Some of Illyana's spells had required props...

Her eyebrows shot up in alarm, and for a moment, he wondered if he'd managed to somehow insult her. Realization struck, though, and he grinned sheepishly. No, he didn't need step by step instructions; lack of experience didn't equate to lack of knowledge of how things worked. She laughed, apparently realizing what he'd meant, but before she could reply another thought popped into his mind. Whatever magical protections she might put in place, a condom wouldn't be a bad idea. Unfortunately, he didn't have one.

Apparently that was a simple enough request, because she waved her hand and smiled, and a box of condoms appeared on the nightstand beside them. "Will those do?" she asked, and blushing a little, he nodded. He couldn't see any reason why not. She straightened up, then, taking his hand as she took a deep breath. "Now, I just need you to relax. I promise this won't hurt at all. I simply need to do the incantation. You can close your eyes if you'd like."

"I'm fine," he assured her, his voice soft as his eyes sought out hers. He'd never seen any point in closing his eyes (other than while teleporting, and that mostly because his brain always tried to process the space in between and failed miserably). Besides, he was curious as to what she'd do. He'd never really been the direct object of a spell before; oh, he'd been effected by plenty of Illyana's, but none targetted directly at him. He wouldn't miss it for anything.

Besides, why woul dhe want to look at the inside of his eyelids when something far more attractive was sitting right in front of him.

She's misunderstood him again, but was rather thankful for that at the moment. It would have be somewhat more than awkward if he'd needed her to give him step by step instructions.

Certainly not the mood she'd have rather set, but Doug was sending her another of those sweet, sheepish grins and Topaz found herself laughing at her own foolishness. It helped to break a little of the tension and awkwardness the couldn't help but be there, and her senses were still buzzing from that kiss.

Yes, she liked Doug Ramsey very much.

As for condoms, those were easily enough gotten. A simple spell to grab a box from the infirmary and relocate them to the dresser and it was taken care of. Much simpler and easier than conjuring them from nothing. She'd save her energy for the spell to come, if those suited Doug, that was.

He was blushing again, which was appealing in it's own right, and Topaz smiled back at him as he nodded. That was settled, then, and she took his hand, taking a deep breath as she prepared to begin the spell. All that she really needed for him to do was try to relax. There wouldn't be any pain, of course. Likely not very much of a sensation at all, but he could close his eyes if it would make him feel better. For some people, it seemed to where magic was involved.

"I'm fine," he assured her, quiet but seeming sure, as he met her eyes. The sorceress' own smile softened as she let the breath out slowly, taking his other hand gently with her free one. Then, she gave both his hand a gentle squeeze, sat up straight and tilted her face upward a bit.

"All right, then, let us begin." Holding his hands lightly, she brought the words she wanted to the front of her mind. A relatively simple and straightforward spell, at least, and one she wouldn't need the books for. One for protection and security and that would alert him to any problems that might arise. "It will only take a few moments."

Voice soft but sure, the dark haired girl began to chant the words, the cadence slow and measured. The language was an ancient one, the spell itself one of the earliest she'd learned under the tutelage of the Sorcerer Supreme. True, there was likely no need to do it aloud, but for something more than minor feats of magic, to speak them had always felt more sure.

Slowly, a glow began to build around them, the source invisible but seeming to come from everywhere at once. It was silver white, no heat or substance, but haloing both their forms, coruscating and flowing to it's own rhythm like a living thing. Then, gradually, as she spoke the words, the light faded from her form, concentrating on Doug's as he glowed brighter still.

When the chant was done, she smiled over at him for a moment, the glow holding steady for heartbeats before slowly and silently fading away.

"There, that should do very well," Topaz pronounced, somewhat proudly, though she knew pride wasn't something she should give into simply for the ability to speak words of power. What she could do was gift, and none of her own doing. "How do you feel?"

Topaz's smile softened as he confirmed that he'd be fine with his eyes open, and she exhaled slowly, then reached for his other hand. He squeezed hers back, watching just a little nervously as she straightened up and tilted her head.

It wasn't he didn't trust her. Or her magic; so far, he hadn't seen any demons, pentagrams, or any of the other jillion or so things that screamed "Inferno" or "Illyana in Asgard" whenever he encountered them. It was just reflex, he supposed. There was so much hanging on what she was about to do - not much, he supposed, in the big picture of things, but personally...

Yeah. Personally, it was pretty big. He was entitled to be nervous.

"All right, then, let us begin." He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, more because it seemed as if centering was the thing to do than anything, and nodded and squeezed her hands again as she said it would only take a few minutes.

Softly, she began chanting, words his mind tried to latch onto without any more success than he'd ever had interpretting Illyana's spells over the years. The words were slippery, somehow, sliding past both his conscious and unconscious attempts to remember them and, not for the first time, he found himself a little regretful that there were whole languages out there that, try as he might, he still couldn't understand...

He noticed the glow, then; faint at first, but increasing in intensity as it settled around them in swirling waves, highlighting her face in a way that once again made his breath seem to catch in his throat. God, she was amazing, her bronze skin sparkling in a glow of silver white, black hair sparkling as if dipped in glitter. Far too soon, though, the light seemed to fade, though when he glanced down at himself he realized that instead of disappearing, it had settled around him.

He didn't feel anything, at first, and when he did, he nearly dismissed it as his imagination. Perhaps it was, but it felt almost as if something nearly tangible was settling around him, warming his skin and causing it to tingle. Or perhaps that was just the result of watching her...he didn't know, but before he could decide Topaz smiled over at him and the light faded once more.

"There, that should do very well," sounding proud of herself. "How do you feel?"

He considered her question before answering, assuming she wanted more than just idle reassurances. He felt fine, obviously - there was no doubt about that. No pain, no burning, no telltale signs of pressure building that would suggest any drastic reaction on the part of the virus. For a moment, he thought it was gone, and fought a quick wave of panic. But no, it was there, just unusually quiescent, almost dormant - a faint resonance deep inside rather than the constant presence it had been for the last few weeks.

That was fine, then, and he relaxed and smiled at her, nodding. "Fine," he assured her, stroking his fingers over the backs of her hands and wondering, despite his earlier reassurances to her on that subject, just what he should do next. Maybe...

Screw it. He leaned in and kissed her again, letting go of one of her hands to tangle his fingers in her hair. He'd figure it out as he went.

At first, Doug seemed a bit nervous. It was understandable, especially for someone who seemed only familiar with dark magic, judging by what he'd told her already and some of the questions he'd asked.

Topaz felt certain that nervousness would soon pass, however. There was nothing to be frightened or nervous of in what she was about to do. It was white magic, capable of doing no harm.

Her hands in his, the Hindi girl lifted her face ever so slightly and began chanting the words to the spell. Smaller things didn't require so much pomp and circumstance, but magic was like a living thing in many ways. It wanted the ceremony and flattery and undivided attention if one wished to be granted favors.

And so she paid those dues (which were quite small in this instance) willingly and with only a small amount of energy required. Doug, she noticed, was paying rapt attention, seemingly having lost his nervousness along the way. Good. Magic of this sort was certainly something to respect, but never something to fear.

The mystical glow enveloped them both, then concentrated solely on him, as the recipient of it's benefits. It suited him, as it emphasized the highlights in blonde hair, the structure of his cheekbones and chin and jaw. He was certainly no hardship to look at, though he didn't seem aware of that.

After a few moments, the glow began to fade and Topaz smiled at him. Yes, that should do. It should do very well and, as long as he felt all right, that should be all that they would need.

Instead of answering right away, Doug gave the question some consideration. A wise thing, to her way of thinking. For a moment, she thought she saw some sign of panic on his features and her own concern was instant. But before she could say anything, that hint of upset seemed to fade and he relaxed again. And smiled. It was still a very, very nice smile.

"Fine," he assured her, stroking his fingers over the backs of her hands and she smiled at him in return, slight shiver skimming over her skin. She did like him very much.

Almost as if he'd heard that thought, Doug leaned in and kissed her, fingers sliding into her hair. Topaz leaned forward, returning the kiss in kind, deepening it every so slightly. Shifting closer, her hand stroked down his back, then slipped under the hem of his shirt.

Letting her fingers skim slowly and lightly over his skin, she pulled back for a moment, long enough to smile at him and say, "Yes, I think you are fine," before leaning in to kiss him again.

It was there. Quiet, rendered almost dormant by whatever spell Topaz had cast, but with some concentration he could still feel the circuitry that had overtaken varying degrees of his body for the past six years.

Knowing it was still there was a relief, but Doug was more than content to tuck that knowledge away and pretend, just for the night, that it didn't exist. While he might be even less confident about what to do next than he'd been at sixteen (and more than a little drunk, which had admittedly played a large part in his confidence that night with Roulette), he at least knew how to get started, and leaned in and kissed Topaz, reaching up to tangle his fingers in her hair and urge her closer.

He could, he imagined, figure out the rest as he went.

Topaz, at least, didn't seem at all hesitant, and deepened the kiss slowly, her hands moving to his back and teasing up underneath his shirt. He moaned softly, his back arching a little into her hands, which seemed to radiate heat in trails as they skimmed over his skin, but before he could reciprocate she pulled back a little and smiled. "Yes, I think you are fine," before leaning in to kiss him again.

He laughed softly and kissed her back as he shifted his hands to her back, fingers stroking over the bare expanse between the bottom of her cropped top and the top of her skirt. "And you?" he asked softly as his fingers brushed over her top, trying to determine how it was fastened. "Is this okay with you?"

He didn't doubt it that it was, not really. Still, he reflected as he kissed her again, it didn't hurt to ask.

Though there wasn't any outward sign, Topaz assumed that the spell had done its job. There wasn't any indication otherwise and Doug seemed relieved, more relaxed.

That, too, was a good sign and then he leaned in to kiss her again. It was welcome and eagerly returned as she moved slightly closer to him. His lips warm and soft on hers, not as tentative as before as he seemed to let go of that worry and self-consciousness he'd been carrying with him. Or some of it, in any event.

It had been far too long since she'd been with anyone. A luxury she'd put aside along with a great many other things during all of this. And there hadn't been anyone she was particularly interested in. Certainly not Conrad, as much as she liked him it was strictly as a friend. Unfortunately, there'd been little time to get to know a lot of the others with the Resistance she didn't already know in more than general acquaintance, even if distance wasn't a factor for her as much as some of the others.

Doug, however, she'd always found nice, if a bit shy, the few times she'd talked to him. Now he'd proven to be exactly that. Nice and sweet, a bit shy but that certainly had it's appeal as well. It was still a little surprising he didn't have a girlfriend, hadn't done this before. She'd have thought some girl would have snatched him up long before now.

Again, she couldn't quite resist teasing him just a bit. Gently, as she pulled back and smiled. Yes, she believed that he was just fine.

He laughed, a warm sound as she kissed him again, letting her hands wander a little. Over his back through his shirt, then slipping under the hem to stroke gently over his skin. His own fingers skimmed over her back, moving over her skin in return and leaving a warm glow behind them. It had her pressing closer, seeking a little more contact as a small shiver of pleasure coursed along her skin.

"And you?" he asked softly as his fingers brushed over her top, trying to determine how it was fastened. "Is this okay with you?" Subtly, she turned a little so he could find the zipper for her top located at the side, smiling at him with calm reassurance.

"Yes, it's very okay with me," she assured him, hands sliding farther under his shirt, touch more sure and firm as she stroked over his back, the curve of his shoulder blades, then slowly back down the length of his spine, movements unhurried, exploring.

"You'll tell me if you aren't comfortable?" she asked softly, meeting his eyes for a moment before leaning in, placing a soft kiss on his jaw, then just under his ear, before placing another down lower on his neck, then another after that, going slowly, savoring the sensations and his reactions.

Oh yes, this was certainly more than okay with her.

This was happening.

It might be a strange mantra, but the words seemed to be caught in some kind of loop in his mind as his hands played over the warm, smooth skin of her back and she moved closer. Unexpected, unplanned beyond the necessary precautions, but happening. But surprisingly (at least to him), there was no voice in his mind telling him to take a step back, to consider all the possibilities, to debate whether or not it was a good or bad idea.

He was very definitely okay with it. The only remaining question was, was she?

She shifted a little in his arms, bringing his fingers into contact with the zipper they'd been seeking, and smiled, the same smile that had taken his breath away earlier in the strip club. Reassurance, there - she definitely didn't seem at all not-okay with this, but still, she answered the question aloud. "Yes, it's very okay with me," she said, eliciting a soft moan as her hands explored the length of his back slowly. He smiled, not entirely trusting his voice as he unzipped her top, his fingers skimming lightly over the curve of her breast as the fabric parted. This was happening, he reassured himself as the part of his mind not processing the way her fingers felt tracing his spine tackled the question of just how the top came off, came to a tentative hypothesis, and urged the not-quite sleeve down her arm.

"You'll tell me if you aren't comfortable?" she asked softly, meeting his eyes for a moment, but before the words could even computer she moved to kiss along his jaw.

"I will," he assured her, breath catching as her lips moved to his neck, which arched by reflex, inviting more of the same. He smiled crookedly and whispered, "I can't imagine not being, though," not caring if the words made sense or not. He'd felt comfortable - more than comfortable, really - since he met her in the club. Topaz seemed to radiate some kind of white noise all her own, which shut down all the million questions that would normally pass through his mind. It might, he decided, be some kind of side effect of her empathy.

Or, more likely, it was just her. Either way, he was perfectly comfortable, for once not concerned about saying or doing the right thing.

With that thought in mind, he peeled away the rest of her top, letting it fall as his fingers tentatively, then with increasing confidence, traced over the sides of her full breasts. And leaned in again to capture her mouth with his own and kiss her slowly.

It might've been a little funny in other circumstances. Not this one, though, and she knew Doug was completely serious. Serious and sweet and genuinely concerned that this was what she wanted. That she hadn't changed her mind, despite the conversation they'd just had and the magic she'd put to use in getting to this.

Others might've taken it for granted, but not Doug and so Topaz answered him just as seriously. It was very okay with her and the warm anticipation filled her more with every touch. Every brush of his lips and fingers.

She owed him the same consideration, though, as her own fingers explored slowly and carefully, moving over his shirt and then the smooth skin of his back. It was his first time and that fact was still centered at the front of her mind. Not a distraction, but something she wanted to remain aware of, for his sake.

If he became uncomfortable, she wanted him to tell her.

"I will," he assured her as she leaned in to place a kiss at his jaw, then lightly along his neck, hearing the catch in his breath at the contact. The smile in his voice as he added, "I can't imagine not being, though," and she smiled, hands moving higher on his back as she felt a quick shiver of anticipation of her own.

Her top was undone, his fingertips skimming teasingly just over the side of her breast. There was heat and desire and a building of tension that was different than the sort that had been there before. A welcome tension, instead of an awkward one. And a feeling that only grew as he brought her top forward and she slid her hands reluctantly from under his shirt, letting it slip down her arms and then onto the floor.

A soft, gasping moan broke from between her own lips as his fingers returned to her breast, tentatively at first and then gaining confidence and surety. It was almost electric, that feeling and it had her moving closer still, reaching down to tug his own shirt up, palms skimming his stomach and abdomen as he kissed her again.

It was slow and sweet and Topaz let it deepen naturally, lips parting and urging him closer to her, her fingertips skimming over his warm skin, listening to the quickening of his breath. Or maybe it was her own.

"Yes," she whispered, moving back just enough to speak, the words low and almost breathless, "just like that." Leaning in, she continued that kiss, and the removal of his shirt. She could take care of it with a simple spell, but she was reluctant. There was pleasure in doing things the normal way, too.

Topaz's hands slid from beneath his shirt, and Doug took advantage of the opportunity to slip the full sleeves down off her arms, letting the top fall wherever it would. Encouraged, he stroked his fingers over her now bare breasts hesitantly, gaining confidence as she let out a soft moan of pleasure.

Apparently, he was doing it right. Which was good, because everything he'd ever imagined, ever read, ever dreamed seemed to have been transferred to some kind of offline storage and rendered in accessible. All he could think of was her, the way her hands were pushing his shirt up, playing over his abs and stomach and causing him to tense expectantly.

He leaned in to kiss her, then, felt her lips part as she urged him closer, deepening it once again. She was breathing shallow, faster - but so was he, as wisps of heat generated by her fingers seemed to ignite his nerves, travelling in pulses to settle between his legs.

He'd felt this way before - drunken fumblings with Roulette, that night at the Hellfire Club. The lap dance Johnny'd encouraged one of the strippers to give him for his 20th birthday, the memory again fuzzed by the shots they'd drunken earlier (and afterwards). But at the same time, it was totally different in a way he couldn't quite explain, and didn't feel any need to categorize. Better.

"Yes," Topaz whispered, perhaps in response to his thoughts, perhaps in answer to thoughts of her own. "Just like that." She resumed kissing him before he could reply, but he wasn't sure a reply was needed, anyway. "Just like that" seemed to say everything that was needed, as her fingers slid up, pushing his shirt up with them. Reluctantly, he pulled back, ducking out of his shirt and letting her urge it over his head, extracting his arms from the sleeves. He spared a thought to hope that he hadn't broken out in circuitry anywhere since he'd last checked, consoled himself with the realization that even if he had, it wouldn't hurt her and she wouldn't be surprised.

Still.

Pushing the thought aside, he reached up to tangle his hand in her hair, kissing her again as he wrapped his other arm around her, fingers splaying over her back as he urged her in closer, gasping softly as her breasts came in contact with his chest. No, this was definitely different. And he wasn't complaining, at all.

Her top fell away, leaving him free to explore. Doug's touch was tentative at first, then grew more sure, fingers stroking and caressing in a way that heated her blood, sent it rushing through her veins. It pounded in her ears as Topaz's own hands moved to push his shirt up, fingers brushing across soft, warm skin at his stomach and abdomen.

She could feel his muscles tighten, bunch under her fingers and she smiles, even as she kissed him, no room for thoughts in her head, now, but how he felt and how he tasted. The rush of pleasure as his touch grew even more sure, a little bolder.

Yes. Like that. Exactly like that.

The words were barely out and she hardly realized she'd said them before she returned to the kiss, aware of the heat of his body even now. The taste and scent of him, unique and heady. Her hands worked his shirt up higher, not rushing but exploring. Testing for his reactions, paying attention to what he seemed to like.

In a moment, Doug pulled away, almost reluctantly. He tugged his shirt upward and she eased it over his head and off, dropping it to the floor with her top. He seemed to hesitate for a moment and she watched his face, ready to pause or stop if he'd rather. Instead, his hand tangled in her hair and he kissed her again, making her head spin for one dizzying moment as he pulled her in closer.

His soft gasp of pleasure was followed immediately by her own as her breasts pressed against his chest, skin to skin. A sudden surge of heat and desire had her shifting even closer, seeking more contact. Splayed fingers moved slowly and firmly down his back, then upward again, moving out along his shoulders.

Pressing against him more tightly, she broke the kiss, bent her head and brushed her lips over the soft skin at his neck, another kiss slightly lower, sucking lightly at the soft skin there. One hand moved inward again to move over his chest with a light touch, exploring again. Moving downward.

Wanting to explore everywhere, but still not wanting to rush him. Wanting the feelings and sensations to linger. There was no reason to rush, and every reason not to.

Topaz gasped as her breasts brushed against his chest, sending yet another rush of arousal into areas he was pretty sure hadn't been this aware of their surroundings in years.

He wasn't complaining. He wasn't even thinking, he was pretty sure, though he spent a fraction of a second wondering if thinking about how he wasn't thinking qualified as thinking before deciding he didn't care. Not when her hands were tracing their way over his back, and she was breaking off their kiss just to select a new location, her lips brushing down his neck and making him shiver with pleasure.

His own hands slid up her back, fingers splayed, tracing up her spine and then out over her shoulders, even as one of her hands slid between them and traced its way over his chest. He moaned softly, barely more than an exhalation, his muscles tensing with instinctive anticipation as her hand drifted lower.

No, he definitely wasn't uncomfortable with what she was doing, he decided absently as his hand stroked in over he side, fingers brushing over the curve of her breast as he tilted his head to kiss lightly along her jaw. The only thing uncomfortable about this at all was his jeans, which were growing uncomfortably tight.

His touch was warm, fingers tracing over her back, along the line of her spine, then outward over her shoulders. It had her pressing ever closer, especially that moan. So soft she almost didn't hear it over the movement of her own breath, but she felt the tensing of muscles as her own fingers explored slowly, as her mouth trailed a slow, light line of kisses over the skin along his neck.

Taking in his taste, his smell and the feel of him, the way he seemed to shiver as her lips touched him. His hands moved back to her sides, stroking over the curve of her breast in a way that had a soft moan of her own breaking free, back arching as she sought more contact, head tilting as he kissed along her jaw, now.

It was an electric, addictive feeling. One that she wanted more of, though she didn't want to rush him, either. If this was his first time, he deserved to enjoy it, not be hurried through it. Pressing closer still, Topaz stroked her fingertips along his stomach, breath coming in shallow puffs. Then she drew them along the edge of the waistband of his jeans, pausing after a moment to undo the button.

Turning her head, she captured his mouth with her own, took that slowly, too. Deepened it gradually as her fingers continued their exploration of soft skin, slipping just under his waistband. Other hand moving to his cheek, she brushed the pad of her thumb lightly over the curve of his cheekbone, swept the tip of her tongue slowly along his bottom lip.

He was sweet and gentle and so very tempting. And she wanted to make certain he got as much enjoyment out of this as Topaz knew she would herself. Wanted to let him set whatever pace was comfortable for him, explore where ever and however he liked.

Yes, he was doing just fine.
