Hmmm. Did he want her to take his clothes off? All things considered (and hell, even without considering any of them, seeing as his brain didn't exactly seem to be firing on all cylinders) he was able to say, quite truthfully, that he was definitely in favor. Which resulted in a nose wrinkle from Kitty, but that was okay. She always looked cute when she did that. Actually, she pretty much just always looked cute, period. With and without clothes, though at the moment, without was sounding like a pretty good plan. One with which he was more than willing to help, especially considering that to get at her stealth suit, he'd have to take everything else off, first. Something about that was apparently confusing, but Kit let him help her up regardless, then set her glass down on the dresser. "I'm pretty sure I can use my powers all by myself," she told him, squeezing his hand. "Plus, I'm not sure how you'd actually help." Head tilting, she gave him a curious look. "You didn't hit your head or anything while we were gone, did you?" Bobby laughed and shook his head. "No, I didn't hit my head," he assured her. "But I'm pretty sure I still remember how to remove clothing." He grinned mischievously as he reached over and slid his hand up under the side of her shirt, then added, "It's been a while, though. I could probably use some practice?" Not that she couldn't do the whole thing faster and easier herself. But he wasn't opposed to giving her a hand with it, either. |

Yep, she could use her powers. All by herself. She'd been doing that for a loooooong time now. Plus, she wasn't really sure how Bobby could help her use them even if she needed him to. It was phasing. It hadn't ever really been a team sport. Maybe Bobby had hit his head or something when she wasn't looking? That made her both curious and a little concerned as she tilted her head and looked him over. But he was laughing at her, so she was going with no undiagnosed head injuries. How that made sense put together that way, Kitty realized, she wasn't sure at all. But it kinda sorta did a little. If you squinted just right. Anyway, they had music from the dresser to make up for the less wine or something. "No, I didn't hit my head," he assured her and he sounded pretty sure, so okay. "But I'm pretty sure I still remember how to remove clothing." He grinned mischievously as he reached over and slid his hand up under the side of her shirt, then added, "It's been a while, though. I could probably use some practice?" The smile as she soft of shifted toward his hand turned into an eyeroll and a faux put upon sigh. Man, was he sure he hadn't hit his head? "That's because you don't phase," she pointed out to him, since he seemed to have forgot that part. "I phase. You have ice powers. I don't think you can do undressing with those." She guessed he could try, Kitty decided as she slid her arms around his neck and swayed a little to whatever song that was that was playing. Except that sounded like it would end up with things pretty cold and maybe flash frozen underwear. |

There were ways to remove clothing other than phasing. Granted, they weren't ones they tended to use particularly often. Or that they had used, or...well, whatever, it hadn't changed to speak of since she'd gotten back, so he didn't suppose the "whens" of it really mattered all that much. Still, he figured he could probably lend a hand if she'd like one. There were certain skills he was definitely in favor of practicing. She leaned into his hand as he slid it under her shirt, but then rolled her eyes and sighed dramatically. Bobby's forehead furrowed. Was that a problem? He hadn't meant to insult her or anything... "That's because you don't phase," she pointed out to him, since he seemed to have forgot that part. "I phase. You have ice powers. I don't think you can do undressing with those." Oh! He grinned at her, resisting (for the moment) the urge to shake his head. Yeeaaah. He had a pretty good idea where the extra missing wine had gone, and it was quite possible they could forget about evil wine-siphoning devices. Still, he had powers to defend, as well as other skills. After all, last time he'd checked? He'd managed to get himself dressed and undressed without phasing powers for years. "I can, but the clothes tend to sort of crumble," he pointed out first, because yes, you could do undressing with ice powers. He didn't really recommend it, but it could be done - or it could when your head wasn't already fuzzy and your girlfriend wasn't twining her arms around your neck and sort of swaying to the music on the iPod. "But y'know, I've heard people without phasing powers manage to get clothes off anyway. There are these things called buttons and zippers?" His fingers trailed lightly along her waistband to the button in question, and with only a little fumbling he managed to get it unfastened, then pulled down the zipper as an added bonus, fingers trailing over her exposed stealth suit. "Nowhere near as efficient, but the best most of us can do if we don't want to cause frostbite or anything." He slid his hands back over to her hips to push down the jeans, then abandoned that thought in favor of wrapping his arms around her back and swaying with her. After all, it really was a good song. The clothes would wait a minute or so. |

Nope. He didn't phase. Bobby didn't have phasing powers, those were hers. He had ice powers and those didn't really do undressing. He could grin all he wanted, but the ice powers still wouldn't work for that. He was cute when he grinned, though, and the dresser was playing music and this was pretty nice. Even if he'd forgot how her powers work. And possibly his, too. And something had siphoned all the wine out of their cups. "I can, but the clothes tend to sort of crumble," he pointed out and she wrinkled her nose and gave him a suspicious look. "That doesn't count," she countered, because it wasn't the same if you couldn't use the clothes anymore after you took them off with your powers. Or made them fall into frozen, icy chunks with your powers. "Nowhere near as efficient, but the best most of us can do if we don't want to cause frostbite or anything." Grinning and rolling her eyes again, and still kinda swaying to the music, Kitty sighed. "I know all about buttons and zippers. The old fashioned way," she added with a serious nod as he god her jeans undone, started pushing them down, then sort of abandoned that. Maybe they wouldn't fall off? Especially since he was sorta swaying with her now and that was really nice. They hadn't danced in a long time. Well, if you didn't count down in the strip club earlier, anyway. But before today at least. Leaning into him, Kitty sorta closed her eyes, tightening her arms around him. Then stumbled a little and frowned. Okay that was annoying. "I think my pants are falling off," she informed Bobby, since she was pretty sure he'd done it. So...he could fix it or something. With his old fashioned powers of undressing or something. She was busy dancing. |

Apparently, it didn't count as "undressing" if the clothes fell apart. Which made sense, he thought; otherwise, all of the bad guys who'd blasted holes in his uniforms over the years could've claimed they'd...yeah, not going there. Really, really scary mental image, narrowly avoided. Also, not what he'd meant anyway. Because for those people without phasing abilities (and honestly, he couldn't think of many people who had them), there were buttons. And zippers. Not as fast, granted, but definitely more hands on. Which didn't sound all that horrible. He liked hands on. Pointing that out gained him a grin and an eyeroll, but no protestations as he got to work unbuttoning and unzipping her jeans "I know all about buttons and zippers. The old fashioned way," Kitty pointed out. "Complaining?" he teased as he abandoned his clothes removal in favor of wrapping his arms around her waist. Clothing removal could wait, if she wanted to dance first. He didn't mind, especially when she leaned in against him and tightened her arms around his neck. Mmm, yeah. That was nice, too. He nuzzled her hair, then just tilted his head in against hers. Dancing was definitely alright. Well, right up until she stumbled a little and frowned up at him, anyway. Had he stepped on her feet? He hadn't even thought he'd been moving his feet, but... "I think my pants are falling off," she informed him, and he glanced down to see that yes, her jeans had definitely settled down around her ankles. Which was almost definitely a problem. Or not, because he'd wanted them off, but he was pretty sure they'd be better not tangled around her feet. They were dancing, which...yeah, that put it back in the "problem category", especially since he was going to have to let go of her (and vice versa) for him to do anything about that. Or maybe not. "Phase and I'll kick them out of the way?" he suggested as the easiest method of clothing removal that came to mind. That way neither of them had to move, and...well, if she accidentally phased off the rest of her clothes at the same time? That would be alright, too. They still wouldn't have to stop dancing. |

Yep, she knew how to use buttons and zippers. Snaps, even. It wasn't as fast or efficient, though, but sometimes still fun. Kind of doing the whole undressing thing the old fashioned way. Which she pointed out to her boyfriend. In case he didn't know. "Complaining?" he teased and she shook her head. Nope. No complaining at all. Because they were dancing, or swaying at least since the dresser was pretty good at coming up with music, apparently. And Bobby was kinda nuzzling her hair a little. That was really nice. Except now her pants were attacking her, or at least kinda falling off. Which made dancing not as easy as it had been, with them hanging all off her hips and butt sorta sideways. Kitty did a little shimmy type thing to try to convince them to go one way or another while Bobby looked down to maybe verify what she'd told him. And then they flopped down around her ankles where they were definitely in the way of even slow dancing. "Phase and I'll kick them out of the way?" he suggested, which was a pretty good idea from somebody that'd just suggested he try to flash freeze her clothes off a couple of minutes ago. Yeah, she could do that. Concentrating, she phased, or hoped she did. Otherwise he was probably gonna just kick her in the leg. "Okay, kick," she told him. Gave him time to do that then grinned and phased him, too, so his jeans fell off. "There, now you don't have any pants, either," she told him, unphasing and swaying to the music again. "Though we've still got shirts," Kitty added, frowning a little, "And stealth suits. Which might look kinda silly, huh?" Not that anybody was going to be dropping by to look. Probably. Maybe. Around here, you never really knew, though. But they'd have to figure out how to undress themselves if they did. "This is nice," she commented, tilting her head toward him a little and closing her eyes. Because it was. And easier to dance to than what Mantis had been singing before, too. |

Well, her jeans were off. Mostly. It made for a nice view - stealth suits were good for that - but now the jeans were down around her feet. Which he had to admit, wasn't exactly great for dancing. There were some definite flaws in old-fashioned undressing, he had to admit. Fortunately, he was pretty sure phasing could take care of that one little downside. If she phased, and he kicked, the jeans would be out of the way. She seemed like she was thinking that over for a second; then, without warning, she wasn't "there" anymore. Or, well, she was there, but...yeah. Phased. "Okay, kick," she said, and he laughed and kicked the jeans through her, then looked up to see her grinning mischievously. And felt his own jeans sort of... Yeah, okay. That took care of those, too. Some day, he was going to figure out just how she managed to phase him, his shirt, and his stealth suit without phasing his pants, but it definitely wasn't going to be tonight. "There, now you don't have any pants, either," she said, and she was back in his arms, solid, and swaying. Definitely an improvement, and he laughed again softly as he stroked his hands down over her butt and squeezed gently. "Though we've still got shirts," Kitty added, frowning a little, "And stealth suits. Which might look kinda silly, huh?" "Probably," he admitted, then grinned mischievously. "Though y'know, you could just get rid of those, too. We'd look a lot less silly." Not that there was anyone around to see them anyway, but still. He was definitely in favor of full clothing removal. Apparently, it wasn't the first thing on Kit's mind, as instead of taking the hint she leaned in, letting her eyes drift shut as they moved with the music. "This is nice," she commented, and he nodded, tilting his head in against hers. It was nice. Beyond that, actually. Dancing with her to whatever it was the Rainbow Brite telepath had been singing had been fun, but this... "It's been a while, huh?" he said softly, enjoying the feeling of her against him, swaying softly with the music. "We really need to do this more often." Even by her timeline? It had been way too long. |

Her jeans went...somewhere else in the room and then she phased Bobby and made his jeans fall off and now nobody had any pants. They still had shirts, though, and stealth suits, so Kitty guessed that still counted. And maybe looked a little funny, but she didn't care. She just grinned as Bobby laughed at her and then she went back to dancing, now that her jeans weren't getting in the way of that. Then kinda gasped as Bobby squeezed her butt. Hey! That was probably cheating or something. Especially when they were still dressed and looking kinda silly. Maybe. "Probably," he admitted, then grinned mischievously. "Though y'know, you could just get rid of those, too. We'd look a lot less silly." Kitty frowned a little again, trying to figure out if that was true or not without a lot of success. They might actually look more silly, but then she wasn't really sure why she was even thinking so hard about it in the first place. "Maybe," she pondered, then smiled at him again, and went back to dancing. Or swaying, which was what they were mostly doing, but it was close to dancing and it was really nice. Especially when Bobby tilted his head against hers that way and swayed with her. The dresser was pretty good at playing music, too. "It's been a while, huh?" he said softly, and she smiled and nodded and kept swaying. She did give him a squeeze, though, for good measure. "We really need to do this more often." "We do," she agreed, eyes still closed and deciding they'd look less silly without the shirts at least and phased those off. Then sorta kicked hers outta the way again between sways. "Maybe there'll be time for more dancing after this is all over. I missed it." Along with a lot of other things, the teenager decided, stroking her hands up and down his back. See, she could do both at once. More wine would be good, too, if something hadn't sucked all the rest of it into a black hole while they weren't looking. |

If Kit was worried about looking silly (and he couldn't think why, because it wasn't like there was anyone else in the room to see them), he was perfectly okay with losing the rest of their clothing. They'd probably look less silly dancing naked than they would in shirts and stealth suits, and...well, there were other definite benefits. "Maybe," Kitty said, apparently thinking it over, but then she smiled at him and he pretty much lost track of what they'd been talking about. Damn, he'd missed that smile. So much. That, and the way she felt against him, and the way her hair smelled, and... Yeah. it had been way too long. They needed to do this more often, and he really, really needed to not take it for granted ever again. But somehow, he didn't think that was going to be a problem. "We do," she agreed,, and suddenly, his shirt was on the floor, and really, he still wasn't sure how she did that. He didn't really care, though, and just sort of nudged it out of the way with his foot, noting that she'd done the same thing with hers. Mmmm. Definitely nice, and so was the way her hands were stroking up and down his back. "Maybe there'll be time for more dancing after this is all over. I missed it." "Me too," he said softly, pressing in closer, and turned his face to nuzzle her hair again as he tightened his arms around her, not thinking about much of anything beyond the fact that she was there. Really, that was all that mattered right now, anyway. "And whatever happens? We'll make time." They had before, after all. Maybe not often enough, but they'd managed. No matter how things played out, they'd manage again. (The end) |
