Dazzler, Human Torch, Hellfire Shaw sexcapades as told by Jen? Good god. As much as she loved Greer and counted her as one of her closest friends, Bobbi also didn't hesitate to be glad Jen had found her first. Sorry about that, except she really wasn't. Especially since she knew that wouldn't necessarily stop She-Hulk from tracking them all one by one. Or Greer from sending their tall, green teammate her way deliberately, now that she thought about it. Putting overshares of futures yet to come aside, though, that brought them more or less full circle as they tried to finish de-puttying William (and god, she was going to have to talk to Hawk about making this stuff a little more water soluble). In a couple of days, Dazzler had already started some kind of game of musical beds. Now, she'd moved on to Simon. Sigh. He was a grown man and the blonde knew they should give him credit for that, but he was a grown man that got in over his head with this kind of thing before he knew it. Took it too damned seriously because he was Simon and he didn't know any other way to do it. Then he got hurt. The way he always got hurt with Wanda, and somehow he never saw it coming. Maybe it wasn't fair. To him or to Dazzler. Yeah, she'd got them the helicarrier. How she'd had damned time to do that, Bobbi wasn't sure, and probably wasn't relevant, but bore mentioning anyway. Along with a lift of her brows Greer's way before the former SHIELD agent turned her attention, and a grin, down to the little cat boy still - amazingly enough - letting them scrub on his hands and other putty covered areas without too much complaint. At least yet. Bobbi was even willing to admit that, laid out like they'd just laid out most things with Dazzler, maybe none've them would look all that good. Her own dossier wasn't exactly spotless and her personal morals had come into conflict with the Avengers code more than once. Hell, it'd nearly cost her her marriage, or at least had played a part in that. Greer looked down again and was possibly deputtying William a little more vigorously than necessary and Bobbi sighed inwardly. Foot straight in her mouth. She should've known how Greer would take that. “True,” she said shortly, relaxing the scrubbing a little when William gave her a 'what's up with you' look. “She didn’t spend a year reporting to Tony and the others,” Greer added slightly acerbically, though with more care to keep her hands soft and gentle this time as she finished the last rubdown of one small furred arm. “Point to her.” Lips pursed slightly, Bobbi shook her head, still looking over at her friend. "That's water under the bridge, Greer, and not what I meant." Tigra should already know that, and probably did, but it'd probably always be a little bit of a sore spot with her, wouldn't it? Maybe especially today, considering what they were all going out to do later. Also not the point, either. The point was that none of this stuff with Dazzler was anything that sounded like a person who'd take things the same way that Simon would. Or would even stick around, unless she was missing a big clue there somewhere that changed things, and she didn't think she was. Something in that had Greer smiling again, though damned if she could figure out what as Greer cocked a brow her way. “Well, there is the ‘Wonder Penis’,” she pointed out and Bobbi's eyes rolled around toward the ceiling automatically. Right. How the hell could she forget. Only Simon. “That might buy him a week…” Greer continued thoughtfully, trailing off when she apparently hit the same roadblock to that theory as the blonde did, herself. “Yeah, alright. That just makes it worse, doesn’t it?” "With Simon? Absolutely." A week to get even more attached, more invested, in a girl who'd just walk away with a smile and probably never look back. Not a damned improvement at all. So, that led them back to the beginning. Owing it to Simon, for his own good whether he liked it or not (and that would definitely been a not, but he didn't have to know, either), to be where Dazzler was today. See if they could get a better read on her, at least, and hope to hell they were completely wrong about her. Not exactly genius strategy, but it was what they had. “I agree," Greer replied unsurprisingly, since they'd both seen what the results of sitting back and letting it just happen, thanks to Wanda. “And if we’re not wrong, then we’ll figure out what to do next.” Bobbi lifted her brows slightly again, but didn't really say anything as she divested William of the rest of the putty on that hand finally. She had some ideas, but she'd at least give the shiny, smiling, perky, pink haired woman enough of the benefit of the doubt to not start planning that part. Yet. If it came to that, they'd handled a hell of a lot tougher problems in their lives than a pastel colored pop singer. “Okay, Honey,” Greer said to her son, apparently thinking along the same lines as she bent her head down next to his. “Time for a real rinse. Can you find the plug down there?” William looked thoughtful, then announced, "Yes!" splashed in the water a little, and started fishing around in the murky water as a droplet or two landed on Bobbi's nose. Then he was frowning down at the water and pulling his hand out, making a face and shaking his paw a little as the blonde grinned. "Yeah, that's a little gross, huh?" Reaching down, she took his little hand and added, "C'mon, I'll help you find it, so all the yucky stuff can go away. How's that?" A second or two and she got a nod, then a little bit of reluctance to stick his hand back down in the putty water. They found it, though, and she let William yank it up with a giggle. "See," she told Greer with a grin. "Situations are something we can handle." Though she probably shouldn't have said that before they were done, now that she thought about it. [Cont'd for Greer and Bobbi off panel in meetings, team assignment wrangling, eventually in Colorado, and then back in Debriefing.] |
