How does this card work? If I attach it to my opponents fighter during my main step, couldn't they just attach it right back to my fighter during their main step? |

For reference: Malefic Grenade P1 Item SE: 0 Main: Attach this card face-up to one of your opponent's characters in play. Your opponent cannot use this effect. Sideline Effect: If a player discards this card from play, it is attached face-up to a character of that player's choice. Sideline Effect: If this card is attached to a character at the end of its controllers Attack Step, deal the attached character 2 points of damage, and put this card face-down in the Winner's Circle. Limit 1 per Deck. This card is complicated. So here we go: 1) Your opponent plays MG and attaches it to your fighter. A floating effect is created saying the opponent cannot use this card as it attaches to your fighter (thus preventing a toss around like you mentioned above). 2a) Your turn comes up and you cannot discard MG. You take the damage. 2b) Your turn comes up and you discard MG, thus creating a new lock effect, this time on your choice. I believe the opponent cannot just toss it back to you b/c of the floating effect that was created. This Sideline Effect is a get around for that floating effect. I hope you understand this. It's hard to explain. |

Okay, so they added that part about the opponent not being able to use the effect? Could the opponent not just skip their attack steps until they find a way to get rid of it? Or is the attack step inevitable? |

I guess so, haha. I don't remember the original text, and are too lazy to look it up. Given what you said though, they probably added it. And the Attack Step is inevitable unless there is an effect that skips the step entirely. You still do an Attack Step even if you choose not to attack I believe. |

If it is a truly a floating effect, can you play Uncontrollable Power to cancel the inability to use it and attach it right back? |

To my knowledge, yes, that's how it works if you use Uncontrollable Power. |

I don't know about the Uncontrollable Power thing. Due to MG having that card text in the main step wouldn't that just be an active effect? I thought floating effects were effects that were created by cards that are no longer in play, like an "until the end of the match" effect... |

Kemps right it's a attached effect not a flouting effect. Only know of a few cats that get rid of attached effects. GATATSUBAL KILLING MACHINE FOR INSTANCE. |
